My power awakened just a month ago.
It happened while I was wandering through one of the areas where some of the Outcasts usually gathered. There was a huge boulder on one of the buildings that was about to fall on me — but at that very moment, my ability awakened.
A violet energy burst out of me, hitting the rock and blowing it apart instantly.
Honestly, it's annoying. Power can be a blessing or a curse for some people… but for someone like me, it's nothing but trouble.
I don't want anyone to know about it, because if they do, they'll take me away to one of those distant schools made specifically for people with supernatural abilities. I don't want to go there. I don't want to leave my sister and little brother alone.
Besides, the way society looks at people with powers is enough reason to hide it.
The best choice for now is to stay invisible… maybe I'll change my mind someday.
David went to his seat near the classroom window.
The lessons passed quickly, but his mind wasn't on school today — he was too distracted, lost in thoughts about what he should do next.
As he was leaving, David noticed a group of students gathered near the playground.
He walked closer… and the sight before him was horrifying.
The body of a girl — torn apart in a brutal, savage way.
Her internal organs spilled outside her body, and her bones were broken in several places.
There was no doubt about it — someone with an ability had done this.
A while later, the police arrived and sealed off the area.
It was a clear sign — the beginning of days filled with fear for every student in the school.
A killer with supernatural powers was among them
