Chapter 1 - CARDS

It's already the fourth time I've gotten a damn 100 Galleons card. Is this thing rigged or what?

Even after a year, I still don't fully understand how this GACHA system works, and honestly, I don't trust it. It just… appeared one day, right after I got my memories back. Guess getting mentally fried by that psycho Itachi wasn't completely useless after all. The clan massacre, that endless genjutsu… yeah, that was enough to break something inside me. Still, that pressure must've triggered whatever was locking my past life memories away.

Lucky me, huh?

Though sometimes, I wonder if it's really luck. This system could vanish any day and take everything it gave me along with it. Wouldn't surprise me one bit. That's why I can't rely on it completely. No matter what, I've gotta keep grinding on my own.

Still, I can't deny it's helped when I needed it most. I've got no one else to depend on. The Anbu took all the clan's jutsu scrolls after the massacre, said I'd get them when I was "older." Yeah right.

A small, bitter laugh slipped out. "Who're you fooling, bastard Sarutobi?"

After getting my memories back, I know exactly how twisted that old geezer really is. The Uchiha's entire inheritance, decades of jutsu, money, and property, all swallowed up by those leeches disguised as the Konoha elders. The "K4" devoured everything. The clan's techniques, copied and perfected through generations of Sharingan users, now gathering dust in some hidden vault.

What's left for me? Just empty streets, boarded-up houses, and silence. The Uchiha Compound's basically a graveyard with my name carved on the gate.

I stared at the cards spread in front of me.

Hatake Kakashi (Naruto)

Teddy (Mr. Bean)

100 Galleons (x4)

Assimilation Slot

Dodge Charger (Fast & Furious)

Spirit Hall Token (Soul Land)

Spider-Man Web Shooter (Marvel)

Gryphon (One Piece)

Wight x7 (Game of Thrones)

Terracotta Spears ×30 (Spare Me, Great Lord!)

Kakashi, huh… I don't even know if it's the Naruto version or the Boruto one. Either way, it's a solid pull, finally something that can boost my combat skills.

Batman's template helped me stay realistic and paranoid, sure, but even with all his skill and discipline, it's still not enough. Strategy alone can't save you when you're up against monsters.

This Kakashi card might finally fix my biggest problem, my lack of jutsu. Even if I don't get Obito's Mangekyō through him, it's still progress.

Sigh.

At least I can now put two templates on Assimilation, though I don't have to test it. After all, Kakashi is my second character card.

Time to check if there's a new world unlocked.

I closed the GACHA system and opened the Omniversal Travel System.

Yeah, I've got two systems. One that lets me get things from the Omniverse, and one that lets me go there.

Not that it matters much. No one would believe me anyway. Even if they did, they'd probably just laugh. I've had both systems for almost a year and I'm still just a Chūnin.

Heh. What luck.

Smirking, I looked at the transparent screen floating in front of me, visible only to me just like the GACHA interface.

[Omniversal Travel System (Prototype)]

Yep, a prototype. Most of the features I used to read about in fanfics aren't even there, or they're nerfed. It doesn't unlock every world from the start, just one per year.

When I first got it, yeah, from a GACHA pull, not alongside it, I thought I'd leave this world for a few years, learn Haki in One Piece, maybe grab some unique skills from Tensura, then come back. But I haven't used it once.

Not because I can't. It's because the first unlocked world is a nightmare. Even worse than the Naruto world, where killing's easier than breathing and kids are raised to live and die for some illusion of peace.

Unlocked Worlds:

1. Marvel

Marvel. Fucking Marvel. And I don't even know if it's the comics or the cinematic universe. If it's just the Avengers or if mutants are in the mix. There are too many variables, too many beings who could snap their fingers and erase me from existence.

Still, the system isn't completely heartless. It gave me a way to lower the risk.

There are two travel options:

Option One – Direct Travel.

I go there myself. The pros? I can use chakra and jutsu. The cons? If I die, I actually die. No respawns or instant recall. I'd be stuck for at least an hour in the other world before I can come back here.

Option Two – Avatar Mode.

The system picks a host in that world and I possess them. If I die there, I don't really die, the connection just breaks for a while before recovering. The downside? No chakra. People love to say chakra's just physical and spiritual energy mixed together, and they're not wrong, but it's also bound to the laws of this world. Just because it works here doesn't mean it'll work somewhere else. Also, even if it does, I'd have to train that body again.

So, seeing all that, I decided to wait. I'll completely assimilate the Batman template first, then unlock another world, hopefully something less insane. Preferably not SCP or DC.

I glanced over at the spinning wheel hovering in the middle of the room, glowing faintly against the dim light. Dozens of worlds rotated around the centre, some familiar, some completely blacked out. I could easily recognise names like Bleach, Pokémon, Ben 10, but others were dark, hidden, their names blurred out as if the system didn't want me to see them yet.

I've spent hours just staring at that thing, trying to figure it out. Every time I spin it, the wheel feels alive, like it's judging me.

I've thought about it a lot, probably too much, thanks to the Batman habits rubbing off on me, but how does this even make sense? How does the system know these names? Bleach, DC, Marvel, Tensura… those were fictional worlds in my last life. So why are they showing up here, exactly as I remember them?

After too many late nights of overthinking, the only conclusion I could come up with was this — the system isn't pulling names from reality, it's pulling them from me.

The way I perceive a world, that's how it gets labelled. So, to the system, "DC" isn't what that universe calls itself; it's just how I know it. Maybe if someone else had this system, the same world would have a different name entirely.

It's like the system's using my own memories as a translation filter for the Omniverse.
