Chapter 2 - Instantly Learning "Rhythm Echo" X A Frustrated Illumi

"Damn it... that guy Sean, where did he go?"

A trace of gloom surfaced on Illumi's expressionless face.

A bold guess suddenly formed in his mind, and the moment the guess appeared, the answer was already certain.

'That's right, Young Master Sean is using "Rhythm Echo"~'

Gotoh's mind flashed back to Sean's cryptic laugh, and he suddenly understood. 'Grilled scallops'... 'Copy'... so that's what it meant.

'Does this mean the Young Master learned "Rhythm Echo" in advance?'

'Or did he learn it just from watching the Master perform it once?'

Unlike Illumi, who had not yet opened his Aura Nodes, Gotoh was a true Emitter-type Nen user.

He applied a thin layer of "Nen" to his eyes and, by perceiving "Nen," he captured two masses of aura moving at high speed in the room.

The powerful mass was Silva, and the immature one was precisely—the one he was extremely familiar with, Young Master Sean Zoldyck!

At this moment, Silva paused, clearly stunned for an instant.

When he realized Sean was using the exact same footwork and force application method as him, immersed in the initial completion of "Rhythm Echo," this current head of the Zoldyck family...

...an existence whose name alone struck fear into people, turned back in surprise. With the intention of testing him, he deliberately adjusted his pace.

The result: when he was fast, Sean was fast; when he was slow, Sean was slow. He was indeed learning by imitating him, no doubt about it!

In other words, 'I didn't expect this brat to actually be a genius in cultivating "Rhythm Echo"?'

An imperceptible smile touched Silva's lips, and he stopped.

"Screech~" His feet left two long, shallow marks on the floor. Sean also woke up from his epiphany and deactivated his Sharingan.

'A pity I still can't control it perfectly freely. It's somewhat regrettable'

Copying isn't the same as learning. He understood the principle, but the practice hadn't caught up, resulting in flaws. It seemed he was still two or three experiments away from mastering "Rhythm Echo."

"It's a long road~" Sean sighed, somewhat dissatisfied.

Illumi got angry just looking at him and said coldly, "What's there to sigh about?"

'That's because I have high standards for myself~'

Sean stretched out his hand melancholically and patted Illumi's shoulder. "I couldn't even learn 'Rhythm Echo' completely after watching it once. I'm very disappointed in myself."

"Oh, Illumi~ Can you understand your big brother's suffering?"

"Heh~ I can't. But I will kill you!" Illumi's eye twitched fiercely, his black and white pupils shooting daggers.

'If you can learn it just by watching it once, then what does that make me? A pig?'

Sean looked "heartbroken." "Look at you. Are those the words of a human?"

"You're not acting human, so why should I speak human words?"

"Hey~ Dad, aren't you going to control him?" Sean spread his hands helplessly toward Silva.

Silva smiled, his eyes narrowing. Sean first, Illumi second, then Milluki, and Killua, who was born with silver hair...

This generation of the Zoldyck family was finally breaking the curse of having only one heir, and was beginning to branch out.

"Alright, Sean." Silva set the tone with one sentence, speaking meaningfully, "Remember, you are the big brother."

"You must yield to your little brother."

'Understood.' Sean looked at Illumi with a half-smile. "So I'm the big brother~"

Then, he directly ignored a certain foolish otouto who was secretly grinding his teeth and struggling to keep his expression from collapsing, and turned to walk out of the room.

"I've already learned 'Rhythm Echo,' so today's training probably doesn't concern me."

"Dad, little brother, I still have things to do. I'm leaving first."

'Drawing manga alone, without assistants, and trying to maintain a weekly release schedule really isn't easy~'

"Gotoh, what are you standing there for? Grilled scallops, arrange them!"

Hearing this, Gotoh quietly glanced at Silva.

Silva nodded. "Go."

"Yes." The young butler immediately pushed up his gold-rimmed glasses and hurried after him.

Soon, the huge training hall was empty, leaving only Silva and Illumi.

Now that a certain infuriating guy was gone, the room seemed much quieter.

Illumi lowered his gaze, sulking with his head down.

Silva let him be for a few minutes, then reached out his large hand to rub his small head, saying softly, "Illumi. Sean is Sean. You are you."

"Don't compare yourself to anyone, and especially don't compare yourself to him."

"The important thing is to compare yourself with yourself."

Some people are just born at the peak, letting others chase them for a lifetime without ever catching up, only able to gaze at their backs.

'Netero is like that, Grandfather Maha is like that... and now, add Sean to the list?'

'Damn it, why did that thought pop into my head?'

His thoughts scattered. Silva's gaze drifted through the doorway toward Sean's room. Just then, Illumi's voice sounded in his ear.

The expressionless stinky little brother seemed to have recovered.

"Dad, how long did it take you to learn 'Rhythm Echo'?"

Illumi looked up at Silva.

Silva glanced at him. "One month."

"Then you're not so great either~" Illumi visibly relaxed, his spirits clearly lifting.

'I can't learn it in one go, but a month isn't impossible~'

'What does that mean?' Silva suddenly felt insulted.

His face immediately fell. Miserable screams instantly echoed from the training hall.

Apparently, the "special training" had begun!

It was just a pity Sean was destined not to hear it.

Our culprit, after leaving the training hall stylishly, enjoyed a wonderful, gout-inducing feast.

Afterward, he leisurely stuck a toothpick in his mouth, said hello to Kikyo, and strolled out of the dining room toward his own room.

Time to continue drawing manga and improving his strength.

After all, as a transmigrator, no one knew better than Sean just what kind of terrifying existence this world was!

Hunters, the Troupe, the V5, the Association, Kakin, the Ants... even the whole human race, were just small fry surrounded by Lake Mobius.

The real, great terror came from above humanity's head—the Dark Continent, which was deeply taboo to even mention.

Therefore, if he wanted to live truly carefree and unrestrained, it was absolutely impossible without the support of overwhelming strength.

With a sense of crisis, Sean quickened his pace.

Unexpectedly, he turned a corner and ran into a little fatty, who slammed right into his stomach.

"Ouch It's Big Brother" Milluki looked up at Sean, a lollipop dangling from his mouth.

His eyes were squeezed into slits due to his excessive obesity, already showing the beginnings of a creepy look.

"Is the lollipop tasty?" Sean smiled and petted Milluki's pig-like head.

His hand slipped, reached into his pocket, and pulled out a large bag of potato chips.

'Tonight's late-night snack: acquired.'

"Uh~ Tasty... Wait, no!" Milluki let out a pig-like squeal, "Mom! Big Brother stole my snacks!"

Kikyo heard the commotion and ran out of the dining room holding Killua. She glanced over~

Sean turned his head, gave her a peace sign his feet shifted, and he abruptly vanished

"'Rhythm Echo'?" Her electronic eyes flashed red. Kikyo was slightly startled. Watching Sean leave so stylishly, she backhanded Milluki across the face.

"Learn from your big brother. That's what an assassin should look like."

Huh? Milluki was dumbfounded. The lollipop in his mouth splatted onto the floor.

It wasn't tasty anymore~

The foolish boy only then realized that something seemed wrong.

'I'm clearly the one who got hurt, right?~'

However, Sean, who was familiar with the original story, knew very well that the Zoldyck family never cared about who the "victim" was.

They only cared about strength!

If you were strong, you could walk sideways in the Zoldyck family!

In the future, when Killua went to chase after Gon, who had come to visit, and verbally shut down Kikyo, that was the best proof.

'So... "My foolish otouto Big brother is just teaching you to adapt to the Zoldyck family's survival rules early"'

Sean tore open the bag, grabbed a handful of chips, and tossed them into his mouth, "Crunch crunch" he chewed.

'Grilled scallops are good, but they don't seem to fill me up I still need to supplement with some carbs'

With a trace of pleasure, Sean returned to his room and picked up his pen again~

In the last chapter, Kakashi and the three little ones encountered Zabuza and Haku, and an intense battle broke out.

Sasuke activated his Sharingan and, coordinating with Naruto and Sakura, his performance was quite eye-catching, which earned Sean a lot of feedback.

In this issue, Haku dies taking a blow for Zabuza. It's even more of a tear-jerker. He believed he would receive even more feedback.

This point would be proven a week later by a certain old bastard and update-demanding maniac.

"Sigh~ Too tragic. When you get old, you just can't watch these things."

"Sean~ Can't you just let Haku and Zabuza live?"

A gust of wind blew, the window moved, and Maha Zoldyck had appeared behind Sean at some unknown time.

Ever since that one time he was out for a "night stroll" and stumbled upon Sean drawing Pot Shadow Ninja...

...the old man's cartoons weren't appealing anymore, and his rocking chair wasn't appealing either. He wished he could squat behind Sean eight hundred times a day, just to be the first to read the latest chapter of Pot Shadow Ninja.

This was only because Sean couldn't beat him. Otherwise, 'Old bastard, have you ever heard of a little thing called "copyright"?'

'Wanting to freeload off someone else's labor without paying? Are you even human?'

"Stop pretending, old man." Sean glanced at Maha and said irritably, "If you lined up all the people you've killed, the circle would almost rival Lake Mobius."

So, believing Maha had empathy... was less likely than believing a pig could climb a tree!

"Hehe Even so, being told that by my own grandson, this old man's heart still aches"

Maha skillfully opened Sean's refrigerator, grabbed a sausage, and began chomping on it.

'Good grief, he even moved his rocking chair over and just plopped down... Is he really treating my, Sean's, room as his own home?'

Sean's face darkened. "Did you pay?"

"I have to pay to eat my grandson's food?" Maha glanced at Sean and said righteously, "Don't talk about money. That stuff is so tacky~"

"Speaking of Zabuza... Sean~ Grandpa has discovered, do you perhaps have a misunderstanding of the word 'assassin'?"

"A piece of trash like him dares to call himself an assassin?"

The little old man rocked comfortably in his chair and snorted, "Listen up."

"A true assassin, it doesn't matter if you can't complete the mission. First, you must protect your own life."

"If there's really no other way, you can always turn around and eliminate the client~"

'Oh~ That is so damn Zoldyck!'

In fact, whether it was Zeno or Silva, they really did operate that way!

But what right did an old freeloader have to criticize him, the original author?

Sean rolled his eyes. "You say that like you know what you're talking about."

"If you're so good, here's the pen, you draw it."

"Hehe Grandpa... I'm old" Maha waved his hand with a chuckle. "This is a world for you young people now."

"This old man won't participate."

When it came to killing, he, Maha Zoldyck, was a professional. But when it came to drawing, the entire Zoldyck family combined probably wasn't as good as the kid in front of him.

It was strange, too. He didn't recall anyone in the Zoldyck bloodline who had specced into the "Art Skill Tree" like Sean.

'Could it be... Silva's mother cheated?'
