"ROOOAR!"
The Kaiju shrieked. Their bodies disintegrated under the blast, hurled into the air.
The scene was brutally violent. These low-level Kaiju were no different from cannon fodder. The moment they met the giant's blazing eyes, they turned to ash.
"ROOOAR!"
The real fighting force was the Category V Kaiju. They had bodies far stronger than the others, with far deadlier toxicity.
A Category V—Slattern—lunged forward during a gap in the giant's attacks, trying to tear this humanoid creature, so much shorter than itself, into shreds.
Other Kaiju followed close behind.
"Swish!"
The next second, this Kaiju—the kind that gave countless Jaegers nightmares—split in half. Flesh and blood sprayed everywhere.
A dazzling light wheel passed through its body and continued into the Kaiju behind it, carving a blue path of blood.
Not a single Kaiju or structure could stop the light wheel. It kept advancing until its own energy ran out.
"Is... is this the real power of that move?" Chuck stared at the scene. He suddenly remembered hearing over comms that Shaolin Rogue had used a mechanical light wheel to kill Leatherback and Raiju. He immediately connected it to this attack.
Seeing the light wheel's true power firsthand, he finally understood why Natsuki had called that version "low-cost."
What Kaiju could possibly stop the full version of this move?
The Archbishop and Yoki watched the giant's battle.
Seeing the completely one-sided slaughter, even they couldn't help but feel a trace of unease.
Even Category V Kaiju couldn't survive a single move from the giant.
The only consolation was that the giant's efficiency in killing Kaiju was still too slow.
At this rate, they could easily drag things out past the three-minute mark.
"Good. It's not time for me to use my final measure yet." Yoki stared at the giant wielding the light wheel like a butcher. He pushed down the urge to step forward and face him in battle.
Besides their numerical Kaiju army, they'd also prepared a super Kaiju focused on quality.
Given how things were going, he probably wouldn't need to control that beast and fight himself.
Just as he was about to say it was a shame—
"Swish!"
"Swish!"
The giant threw the two light wheels in his hands. They sliced through countless Kaiju.
Then, under the confused gazes of many, he leaped into the air, hovering as he surveyed the entire space. He seemed to have made a decision.
"What is he doing?" The Archbishop narrowed several of his eyes, trying to guess the giant's intent.
The aura radiating from the giant felt... wrong.
The air around his body seemed to be distorting.
All the Archbishop could see was the giant looking down at the countless Kaiju and structures. His wrist began to glow faintly. Brighter... and brighter.
When he saw the giant raise one arm upright, Yoki instantly realized what was happening.
He didn't even bother with the Archbishop.
He just turned and ran.
"What are you fleeing from?"
"As a higher civilization, how can you feel fea—"
The Archbishop noticed Yoki's movement and was about to scold him.
Then he saw the giant's other arm swing sharply onto the raised arm, forming a cross.
"HUMMMMM!"
A brilliant blue beam erupted from the side of the giant's palm. The intense shockwave spread instantly with the light. Every molecule of air it passed through ionized on contact.
The beam plunged into the dense swarm of Kaiju below. The surging energy pulverized every Kaiju it touched. It was like divine judgment made real.
"What the fuck!"
"It's like using a Gatling gun on rats!"
"No—it's way more insane than that!"
"I've never seen a Gatling gun that could peel back the ground!" Chuck grabbed his hair and shouted.
This was too damn overwhelming.
That blue beam swept across, and hundreds—thousands—of Kaiju turned into fireworks. They couldn't even scream. The Precursor structures crumbled like paper under the beam's output. Massive sections collapsed.
"How is this possible?"
If the giant's earlier moves had only surprised the Archbishop, now he felt true terror.
This incomprehensible beam of light had the power to kill them all.
The giant maintained the beam's output, standing at the center of the space. He swept the beam across the entire area, bit by bit.
Category IV, Category V—it didn't matter. Before this beam, all Kaiju were equal.
Even their creators, the Precursors, were no different.
Kaiju died in droves. The Precursors' order collapsed in an instant.
The entire space descended into total chaos.
The dignity of a higher civilization. The arrogance of the Precursors. The moment the Spacium Beam fell, it all became a joke.
This was completely overwhelming, utterly unmatched power.
So what if they were a higher civilization? So what if they were silicon-based life? A civilization capable of maintaining order and justice across countless worlds was a transcendent existence to any other civilization.
These backwater Precursors finally learned what real power looked like.
"HUMMMMM!"
"BOOM!"
The Archbishop watched the Spacium Beam sweep past in front of him. The structures in this area instantly turned to rubble. Their civilization's creations were so fragile before this light. Everything had completely collapsed.
"No... it shouldn't be like this!" The Archbishop, once surrounded by countless Precursors, had now fallen into the abyss. He crashed onto the debris-strewn ground, surrounded by chunks of Kaiju corpses.
Their Kaiju factories. Their armies. Their proud civilization. It shouldn't have been so helpless.
"Quick—help me up!" He poked half his body out of the rubble, calling to the Precursors who'd fallen with him.
His genetic superiority still held some sway. In Precursor society, he was the privileged elite. Lower-ranked Precursors were supposed to obey him.
But when he looked around, he froze.
The followers who'd surrounded him, the lower Precursors he'd commanded—they were either lying dead in the ruins or had already scattered and fled.
Their order had collapsed.
Their civilization had crumbled.
In this moment, he was no longer the lofty Archbishop. He was no longer the council member who could decide the fate of lesser civilizations with a wave of his hand. He was no different from any other Precursor.
In fact, he was no different from the Kaiju they'd created.
They had only one identity now—invaders awaiting judgment.
The giant didn't care if you were an Archbishop or an ambassador. The moment that beam fell, none of it mattered.
The chaotic crimson space... the collapsed society... the civilization plunged into the abyss. This was the consequence of judgment delivered by the Space Garrison.
At the rear.
Inside a massive Kaiju factory, Yoki—who'd retreated earlier—arrived.
He shoved aside the Precursor controlling Kaiju production. Under the confused stares of the others, he yanked out a complex syringe-like device and stabbed it hard into his chest.
Then he shouted:
"Use my genes to awaken our strongest weapon!"
"I'm going to kill that giant!"
After leaving those words, Yoki's consciousness flowed through the device and into the body of a massive beast.
They had to activate the most extreme measure.
This was the Kaiju he'd originally prepared to fight the giant. Their strongest Kaiju.
As long as the three minutes ran out, victory would be theirs.
