Henry's voice sounded faintly.
"You want to press that button to trigger the self-destruct sequence and die with me. What a cliché and unoriginal idea."
Fury's body froze, and a chill rose from the bottom of his heart.
How did he know?!
"As for you, Talos." Henry did not turn his head to look at the other person here.
"Are you planning to transform into me and attack me? Or are you planning to transform into Tony and make me hesitate? Forget it. The changes in your cellular structure and the energy fluctuations are more conspicuous to me than fireflies in the night."
Talos' body also froze. He had indeed just had such a thought.
"Okay, are you done with your last words?"
Henry stood up slowly, the smile on his face disappearing.
"Now that we're done, let's get going."
Fury's pupils suddenly contracted. He wanted to say something, but there was no chance.
"call out!!"
Two fiery red rays flashed from Henry's eyes!
Fast!
So fast that he couldn't react!
Fury didn't even feel any pain.
The moment his consciousness came into contact with the red light, it vanished into nothingness.
No explosion, no screaming.
Nick Fury, the king of agents who had dominated the world for decades, just disappeared like that.
"Fu...ry..."
Talos looked at the empty space in front of him, his mind went blank, and fear instantly overwhelmed his mind.
He subconsciously wanted to escape.
However, another red light had already locked onto it.
"And you, alien squid." Henry's voice was cold.
"You squids don't deserve to live. In your next life, remember to choose a good boss."
"call out!!"
A red light flashed.
Talos' body also turned into nothingness.
The office suddenly became quiet.
All that was left was the still noisy explosion sounds outside the window and Henry's steady breathing.
"Done."
Henry clapped his hands and felt relieved.
He turned around and looked at the empty space left after evaporation, and curled his lips.
"Really? You're forcing me to do it. I was hoping to chat with you for a while longer to get some other secrets out of you."
He shook his head and stopped thinking about it.
His eyes penetrated the reinforced concrete beneath his feet.
In his field of vision, the structural diagram of the Trident headquarters was clearly presented, and every line, every room, and every panicked agent was in sight.
Finally, his sights were fixed on a secret vault located in the deepest part of the headquarters, which was protected by layers of security.
And, the cube is emitting blue light in the center of the vault.
"I found you."
He grinned and disappeared instantly.
Instead of going through the door, his body broke through layers of floorboards and fell deep into the headquarters!
"Boom!!"
The door of the underground vault suddenly caved inward, twisted, and then exploded open with a huge force.
The dozen or so elite agents guarding the vault door were blown away by the violent air wave before they could even react to what was happening, and slammed hard against the wall, losing consciousness.
Amidst the smoke and alarm sounds, a black figure walked out of the hole.
Henry ignored the flashing alarms and the automatically extended defensive turrets and walked straight to the center of the vault.
He looked at the Tesseract that was placed in the energy confinement device and was emitting energy, and smiled with satisfaction.
"Okay, my stove."
He stepped forward and extended his hand, ignoring the energy barrier, and gently took the cube in his hand.
"Now, the experiment can begin."
Get the Tesseract.
The violent energy flowed into Henry's body along his palm.
Ordinary carbon-based life will be decomposed the moment it comes into contact with this energy.
However, these were like a glass of iced cola to Henry.
His cells greedily absorbed this energy, converted it into their own nutrients, and stored it.
"Mm, it tastes good."
Henry felt the fullness in his body and nodded with satisfaction.
"It's much more effective than sunbathing. But the aftereffect is a bit strong, like drinking fake alcohol; it makes you feel a bit drunk."
He casually tossed the Tesseract in his hand, and the blue light made his armor look even deeper.
"Henry! How are you doing?!"
Tony's panicked voice exploded in the communication channel.
Just now, he saw with his own eyes that the top floor of the Trident headquarters was engulfed in white light.
At that moment, he felt his heart stop beating.
He was even ready to rush in and tear Nick Fury to pieces.
"What are you arguing about, Tony?" Henry's voice rang out, interrupting the curse that Tony was about to utter.
"I just went downstairs to get something, and you started crying like crazy. Can you be more mature? You're a CEO."
Tony's heart dropped when he heard Henry's familiar voice.
He took a deep breath and complained silently.
"Go downstairs to get something?! You call that scene just now going downstairs to get something?! Do you know..."
"I know, I know," Henry interrupted.
"I know that old fox Fury activated the office's self-destruct sequence in an attempt to destroy me along with him. Unfortunately, his fireworks weren't as powerful as the ones you had at your birthday party last year. By the way, he's retired, quite the retirement. Oh, and his green pet is also collecting his pension."
He had thought of many ways to deal with Nick, but he didn't expect Henry to solve it so quickly.
But soon, he thought of something.
"Henry, although I agree with your approach, you know this will. How much trouble did it cause?"
To be honest, this is not just about breaking the sky; this is directly blowing it up!
Killing the Director of SHIELD is equivalent to declaring war on the whole world!
Subsequent political turmoil, diplomatic pressure, and public opinion attacks.
Tony can almost foresee what Stark Industries will face in the future.
"Trouble?" Henry sneered with a disdainful tone.
"Tony, when did you become so cautious? Trouble is only trouble when you are not strong enough. When you are strong enough, trouble will only become trouble for others."
"As for what you're worried about..." His voice turned cold.
"I'll personally have a 'friendly conversation' with those good-for-nothings in the Security Council. As for the media? Let them write whatever they want. I want to see who's harder, their heads or my fists."
"Okay, now, stop nagging like an elder, clear out those annoying flies from the sky, and then take the others to the underground vault for a meeting. Our operation has just begun. I don't have time to waste on disposing of corpses."
After saying that, Henry cut off the communication again.
Tony rolled his eyes, exasperated.
This bastard!
It's always like this!
Create the biggest trouble, and then give all the blame on him as if nothing happened!
But.
He glanced at the chaotic Trident headquarters below, then thought a bout what Henry had just said, which was a bastard but something he couldn't refute, and finally sighed helplessly.
Well, after all, he is my brother.
"Jarvis." He pulled himself together, his voice regaining its calm and confidence.
"Lock on all enemy aircraft still in flight. Notify the others to gather at the underground vault in five minutes."
"Let's end this boring party."
Five minutes later, in the underground vault.
Tony arrived with his team members smelling of gunpowder.
Henry was sitting leisurely on a pile of scrap, tossing the blue Tesseract in his hand as if he were playing with an ordinary glass ball.
At his feet were elite SHIELD agents lying all over the ground.
The core underground vault of S.H.I.E.L.D., at this moment, is like his private living room.
"You are too slow." Henry raised his eyelids, glanced at them, and curled his lips.
"I've already played a round of poker here."
The others looked at him, not knowing what to say.
Especially when they saw the cube in his hand, their expressions became a little solemn.
"Is this the Tesseract?" Dr. Banner looked at the Tesseract and adjusted his glasses.
"Pure energy, it's distorting the space around it! This completely defies all known laws of physics!"
As a scientist, what he felt was not fear, but enthusiasm and excitement.
This thing is more fascinating than gamma rays, more than any other energy he has ever seen!
Wanda frowned. She could feel the power contained in the cube.
The power felt strange to her, like she was contained within.
"So..." Pietro scratched his head, breaking the silence and pointing to the cube.
"Is this our goal this time? A glowing Rubik's Cube? It doesn't look strange at all."
"No big deal?" Tony rolled his eyes at him.
"Kid, the energy released by this thing in one second is probably enough for the entire New York City to use for a hundred years. You call this no big deal?"
He walked to Henry and looked at the Tesseract in his hand with a complicated look.
"So, you really gave Fury to..."
"Shh." Henry raised a finger to his lips and smiled mysteriously.
"A qualified magician won't reveal his tricks so easily. You just need to know that from now on, the Office of the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. needs to be rehired."
The corners of Tony's mouth twitched.
This bastard is really murderous and heartbreaking.
"Okay, now that everyone is here." Henry stood up and threw the Tesseract to Banner.
"Bruce, hold it for me. Be careful, don't treat it like any other energy block. It has its own temperament. Try to feel it, not analyze it."
"Me?" Banner caught the Tesseract and felt a little nervous, as if he was holding a nuclear bomb that could explode at any time.
Henry ignored him and turned around.
His eyes penetrated the thick walls and scanned the chaotic headquarters.
Then he spoke lightly.
"Jarvis."
"Yes, sir.'
"Take over all of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s internal broadcast systems."
"It is done, sir."
"Very good."
Henry cleared his throat, and his voice echoed through the radio to every corner of Trident headquarters and reached the ears of every agent.
