It's true!
What the devil said is true!
Hill's body shook, and she felt dizzy.
She managed to hold on to the podium and barely keep her balance.
She watched the panicked agents on the screen, the teams drawing their weapons out of mutual suspicion, and a sense of powerlessness welled up in her.
Lost.
SHIELD was dismantled from within in just half an hour.
It was not a loss to a powerful force, but a loss to the chaos of the truth that was revealed.
She slowly closed her eyes.
Nick, have you really figured this out?
Inside the underground vault.
Tony looked at Henry, and the expression on his face became more and more excited.
"The energy core melted down? How come I didn't know about this? Jarvis, analyze the energy core data!"
He stared at Henry intently.
"You bastard, why didn't you tell me in advance when you were making such a big deal?!"
He felt like he was going crazy because of his younger brother.
Kill the director, steal the Rubik's Cube, and now blow up the headquarters?
Is his next step to directly attack the White House?
"Sir, the core data of the energy core has been tampered with, and an accurate assessment cannot be made. But based on external temperature and energy fluctuation monitoring, there is indeed a risk of loss of control." Jarvis' voice sounded calm.
The corners of Tony's mouth twitched.
Human tampering.
Who else? Except this jerk with an innocent smile!
" Henry!" Tony felt his blood pressure soar.
"What the hell are you trying to do?! This isn't fun! Not at all! Buried down there is a replica of the Ark reactor! If it explodes, the entire East Coast will go up in smoke!"
"Relax, Tony, relax." Henry waved his hands, looking indifferent.
"I'm just adding a sense of urgency. Think about it, if I didn't say that, would those stubborn agents just lay down their weapons? They would just fight on and cause more unnecessary casualties. I'm saving them, und erstand? I'm spreading love and peace in a more Stark way."
"Love and peace?!" Tony felt like he was about to laugh out loud.
"You call this love and peace?! You're using nuclear bombs to persuade people to be good!"
"Isn't the effect the same? Look, aren't they much calmer now?"
Henry pointed to the gunshots outside that were gradually subsiding a coming from the PA system, and spoke righteously.
Tony:..."
Tony found he couldn't refute.
This bastard's twisted logic always makes so much sense.
Banner, standing by, was already sweating profusely. Unlike the Stark brothers, he wasn't as carefree as they were. He had personally experienced the horror of losing control.
"Henry, Tony, stop arguing!" he shouted quickly, holding up the Tesseract.
"Let's quickly find a way to deal with the energy core! And this thing! I t's getting really hot! I feel like it's going to explode in my hand!"
The Tesseract glowed brighter in his hand, and the space around it distorted even more violently, as if it would tear apart at any moment.
"Don't worry, Bruce," Henry patted his shoulder soothingly, then took the Tesseract from him.
Violent energy instantly surged into Henry's body, but he seemed fine and even breathed a sigh of relief.
"It tastes good, but a bit strong."
Banner looked at him, opened his mouth, but in the end said nothing.
Monster.
These two people are monsters.
One treats world-destroying energy like a drink, the other treats the scene like a family party.
Why did I agree to join this team in the first place?
Abomination curiously stretched out his finger and poked the Tesseract in Henry's hand.
"A glowing stone."
"Yes, this is a glowing stone." Henry smiled and turned his gaze to Wanda and Pietro.
They remained silent from beginning to end, watching everything quietly.
There was no pleasure or joy of victory on their faces, only confusion.
They discovered that the man who easily overthrew a huge organization and even held the power of life and death in the world was right before their eyes. Even though they had acquired superpowers for a long time, they still couldn't get used to this feeling.
In their hearts, they began to have a clear understanding of the word "POWER".
Is this absolute power?
"All right, kids." Henry's voice woke them up from their trance.
"Stop staring off. The party isn't over yet. Wanda, do me a favor."
Wanda raised her head and looked at him.
"Use your ability to tell everyone to lay down their weapons and gather in the central hall," Henry said casually.
"Tell them this is their only chance."
A complicated look flashed in Wanda's eyes, but she nodded.
Red energy spread from her fingers like invisible threads, instantly enveloping the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters.
The next second, a majestic female voice sounded in the minds of all the agents.
"Drop your weapons. Meet in the central hall."
A few minutes later.
Central Hall.
Thousands of SHIELD agents laid down their weapons and gathered here in silence like disarmed prisoners.
They looked at the six figures in front of the hall with complicated expressions.
Fear, anger, confusion...
A variety of emotions emerged in their hearts.
Maria Hill stood at the front of the crowd. She looked at the black figure and finally slowly lowered her gun. She knew that the era of S.H.I.E.L.D. was over.
"Very good."
Henry looked at the dark crowd below and nodded with satisfaction.
"It seems that everyone is smart."
He slowly landed on the raised platform in the center of the hall, with Tony and the others following behind him.
"First of all, congratulations, everyone, you made the right choice. Your lives, and the entire Washington, D.C., are saved."
As soon as he finished speaking, the data of the energy core on the screen at the top of the hall suddenly returned to normal.
The core temperature is dropping, and all indicators are back to a safe range.
The agents were stunned watching this scene.
So, everything that just happened was really just intimidation?
This bastard!
The corners of Hill's mouth twitched, and she cursed Henry's ancestors in her heart.
I was almost scared to death!!
"I know you all have a lot of questions and a lot of dirty talk you want to tell me right now." Henry looked around with a playful smile.
"That's fine. I'll give you this opportunity. But before you say anything, I think it's necessary to clear out the impurities between us."
As soon as he finished speaking, all the agents' hearts jumped into their throats.
"Impurities?" Hill frowned. She didn't understand what Henry meant.
Henry ignored her, his eyes scanning the dense crowd below.
In his view, most of the agents had normal human body structures.
His eyes scanned everyone.
This is because Nick Fury cleaned out a large number of Hydras some time ago; otherwise, the ratio would be reversed.
However, there is still a small number of people who have completely different physiological structures hidden under their skin.
That's right, that's the special cell tissue belonging to the Skrulls.
Others are still human, but they bear a common tattoo on their skin.
A hideous skeleton.
Hydra.
The corners of Henry's mouth rose slightly.
"It seems that there are more rats in S.H.I.E.L.D. than I thought."
He raised his hand and pointed his index finger at the crowd in a few random directions.
"You, you, and you..."
Every time he pointed his finger, the agent's face in that direction turned pale instantly.
"The one in the gray suit, stop looking around. I'm talking about you. That Hydra tattoo on your body is unique. Did you ask Tony to design it?"
The one that was clicked
The agent's body shook violently, and he subconsciously wanted to draw his gun.
However, a silver lightning flashed past him in an instant.
Pietro appeared behind him and hit him on the back of the neck with a knife. The Hydra agent fell to the ground.
