Chapter 22 - CHAPTER 22: master lenn

"That painting ended up with Master lenni." Stella was taken aback, confused.

"That was all thanks to Ella ," Isaac said with a hint of meaning in his voice.

Sabrina snapped back to attention.

"What? Yingying, you didn't help Master lenn at the auction, did you?"

Stella immediately jumped in, "No way! Why would my sister go against us? Mom, stop making wild guesses!"

Oliver stared intently at Ella .

"What exactly did you do tonight?"

Ella lifted her head, meeting Oliver's questioning gaze directly.

"I just spoke honestly while they were sharing their understanding of the painting," she replied fearlessly, which nearly drove Dalton to the edge of fury.

"Unfilial daughter! How could you do something like this?"

"How could you treat your brother this way? You've embarrassed the Grant family!"

Seeing the situation escalating, Oliver quickly tried to mediate.

"Dad, please don't be angry. Chairman Zhang was there too, and he looked at Ella with admiration."

Stella chimed in, her eyes darting around. "Yeah, Dad, you know how close Sister is with the Seventh Master... It's understandable for her to act this way."

As soon as she said that, Oliver sensed something was off.

Is Stella trying to stir the pot?

"The Seventh Master? Do you have any idea how much you owe the Lee family? I haven't even brought up the fact that you haven't apologized yet, and now you're getting tangled up with lenn!

Do you really think someone like him would be interested in you?"

"What kind of dream are you living in? I know exactly how much you're worth!"

Dalton was furious, and his words became increasingly harsh, his finger trembling as he pointed at Ella .

In response, Ella slammed her chopsticks down on the table, standing up and forcefully pushing Dalton's hand down.

"You don't deserve to point at me; you're not even qualified."

Isaac had initially taken a spectator's stance, thinking that no matter what, Ella would at least give Dalton some face. He didn't expect the girl to be so stubborn.

"Dad, please don't be angry. It's just a painting. If my sister hadn't reminded me, someone else would have told me, and I'd be even more embarrassed," Isaac said, clearly not wanting to pursue the matter any further.

But Stella was not willing to back down.

"Brother, I know you're protecting Sister, but this is clearly Sister's fault. You shouldn't have to take the blame for her," she insisted.

"It's not good for outsiders to see this," Dalton frowned even more.

Ella let out a cold laugh. "Stella, your two brothers haven't said a word. What makes you think you have a say here?"
