Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Low HP Mom, High Difficulty Life

Another week passed, and Representative Chiaki continued to visit Tokai Shizen with a bag of groceries.

Today was no exception, of course.

However, besides these items, Representative Chiaki actually brought something else today.

It was Tokai Shizen's identification document.

Because it was an Uma Musume identity application, coupled with Representative Chiaki's urging, the application process was remarkably fast.

Looking at Tokai Shizen's identity document in her hand, Representative Chiaki simply put it away before pressing the doorbell.

She knew that after waiting a few seconds at the door, the petite mother would open the door for her.

After counting a few seconds in her mind...

The door was opened.

The person who opened the door was still Tokai Shizen.

Looking at Tokai Shizen, Representative Chiaki shook the bag of vegetables she was carrying, then walked into the house.

And after placing the ingredients in the kitchen as usual, Representative Chiaki ran behind Tokai Shizen: "Tokai."

"Hmm?"

The young mother turned around to look at Representative Chiaki, and the dark circles under her eyes, symbolizing lack of sleep, had deepened considerably.

And as soon as she turned around, Tokai Shizen had already seen the identity document in Representative Chiaki's hand.

Looking at that document, Tokai Shizen could, of course, guess whose document it was.

After all, if it was something the other party would specifically hold in her hand to show her, it would probably only be her own identity document.

But, even so...

Tokai Shizen still asked: "That, whose is it?"

"It's yours, you know. How about it, how was the application speed?" Saying this, Representative Chiaki handed the identity document in her hand to Tokai Shizen.

Carefully, she took the new identity document from Representative Chiaki's hand.

The first thing that appeared in Tokai Shizen's heart was not joy, but a sense of relief.

The existence of the identity document meant that Tokai Shizen finally had legal means of employment, and it also meant that she could finally relax... Thinking of such things, Tokai Shizen felt as if the pillar that had always supported her in her heart had been pulled away.

"..."

She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but nothing came out.

Her vision also shifted slightly.

And Representative Chiaki, who had handed the identity document to Tokai Shizen, looked at the silent Tokai Shizen, still thinking she was happy.

But the next second, seeing Tokai Shizen stumble, Representative Chiaki caught her.

"Tokai? Tokai!"

She loudly called out her name.

But there was no response at all.

Only then did Representative Chiaki panic.

About ten seconds later, Representative Chiaki frantically pulled out her phone.

Before long, an ambulance arrived.

And Representative Chiaki went along with it.

The emergency treatment continued until late at night, when Tokai Shizen was finally brought out of the emergency room.

"Her problems are very serious. First, there's the least severe, chronic fatigue."

After looking at Representative Chiaki, the doctor continued: "Long-term fatigue has triggered a series of other problems, and the excitement of emotion was what caused this particular issue. However, the most important thing is..."

"Her own inherent problems. Her body itself isn't very good; she doesn't even look much like an Uma Musume. If she continues to overwork like that, next time it might..."

At this point, the doctor stood up: "Oh, about the medical expenses..."

"I've already paid the balance." Saying this, Representative Chiaki looked at the doctor, then spoke again: "Can I see her now?"

Hearing this, the doctor just nodded: "She probably hasn't woken up yet, but she's out of danger. Seeing her should be fine."

After speaking, the doctor turned around and left Representative Chiaki's presence.

And after the doctor left, Representative Chiaki walked into Tokai Shizen's private room.

In the private room, Tokai Shizen lay on the pure white hospital bed.

There weren't many instruments around her. Looking at Tokai Shizen like this, Representative Chiaki just lowered her head slightly.

She was very glad that she was there at the time, and that she herself had handed the identification documents to Tokai Shizen. If she had received it herself, leaving aside whether it would have been discovered, just the treatment cost alone… Representative Chiaki exhaled a long breath before standing up.

She still had someone to contact.

After leaving the ward, Representative Chiaki called Maruzensky.

Soon, the call was connected.

"Hello?"

"Chiaki, what do you need me for?"

Maruzensky's voice was a bit cold; she seemed to be in a bad mood, but Representative Chiaki understood, after all, who asked her to go out with Rudolph Symboli.

After a few seconds of silence, Representative Chiaki finally spoke: "Shizen…"

She turned her head to look at the tightly closed ward door, and then Representative Chiaki continued: "She collapsed. The reason was due to the identification documents I sent, which caused the problem due to overwork and emotional agitation."

"Wh— I'll be right back…"

The voice on the other end of the phone immediately became agitated.

Hearing such a voice, Representative Chiaki directly interrupted her: "If you come back, Rudolph Symboli will also…"

She didn't finish her sentence, but Maruzensky already understood Representative Chiaki's meaning.

Turning her head to look at Rudolph Symboli, who was sleeping on another bed, Maruzensky simply adjusted her emotions before speaking again: "Is Shizen's body okay?"

"For now, yes." Saying this, Representative Chiaki paused slightly, then spoke again: "But where are your spare keys? I didn't bring Mochizuki with me when I came out. I'll have to take care of Mochizuki during this time."

Hearing Representative Chiaki say this, Maruzensky sat up and thought for a few seconds before responding: "The keys are in the flowerpot on the left side of the door, wrapped in a plastic bag and buried in the soil."

"Alright, I understand. Then when will you be back? Shizen can't keep overworking herself; she needs someone to take care of her, and Mochizuki is the same. If we keep bothering Shizen, such problems might recur soon, right?"

Without any hesitation, she chose to ask Maruzensky for help.

Because Representative Chiaki knew that this was something she couldn't do, she wouldn't hesitate on such matters.

Facing Representative Chiaki's request for help, Maruzensky just glanced at Rudolph Symboli, who was still sound asleep, and then replied: "It's already one-third of the way through. I'll be back as soon as possible, or…"

After a slight hesitation, Maruzensky uttered another person's name: "You can go find Sakura Chiyo O; she should be able to help you."

"Okay, thanks."

Hanging up the phone, Representative Chiaki left the hospital; she had to go take care of Mochizuki, who had been unattended for nearly ten hours.
