Chapter 1 - chapter 1 : Realisation

Chapter 1: Realisation

Saki is a fourteen-year-old Japanese girl who loves to study, especially history. She has a special interest in the history of the war periods of 20th century

It's 8 o'clock. Saki has just woken up, preparing for school. She quickly combs her hair as her mother scolds her for being late. She hurriedly finishes her breakfast and rushes toward the door.

As she lifts her foot to step outside, she suddenly slips and hits her head on the floor. Everything goes dark for a moment.

She hears a sound of her mother saying saki what's going on, what's that sound, are you ok! Then everything goes dark

When she opens her eyes again, she hears loud noises—booming sounds echoing all around. "For heaven's sake! Are you okay?" a soldier shouts nearby.

Saki looks around, confused. Where am I? she wonders. Instead of her school hallway, she sees a battlefield—smoke, soldiers, and chaos everywhere.

A voice calls out, "Hey! I see there's a girl out there! Hey, you!"

Saki blinks, trying to make sense of what's happening. "Why… why is my vision so blurry? What is this place? Am I in a battlefield?"

"Hey, young girl! Come here!" a soldier yells.

Saki doesn't understand what's going on, so she asks in English, "What are you saying?"

The soldier frowns. "I am sorry. Come here, quickly!"

Saki hesitantly walks toward him and follows him into a shelter. It's crowded with soldiers, most of them Japanese. She looks around in disbelief.

"Where am I?" she whispers.

One soldier explains gently, "This is a war zone. You need to stay safe."

Saki nods nervously, still confused. "But… how did I get here?"

The soldier doesn't reply. Instead, he hands her a canteen of water and says, "Don't worry. Rest here for now."

As she takes a sip, Saki realizes that her ordinary morning has turned into something impossible — she's trapped in the past, right in the middle of a battlefield.

The soldier smiles faintly and adds, "Oh, and I apologize for speaking in Hindi earlier. I forgot to switch to English."

Saki looks up, half-smiling, still trying to make sense of everything. The world outside continues to rumble with explosions, and she knows her adventure has only just begun.
