Alec and Zeke are taking a walk through the forest. Alec starts walking ahead of Zeke, against his better judgement. Zeke had tried warning Alec against it, but Alec didn't notice.
"Be careful, Alec. You might injure yourself," Zeke calls out to him, unamused.
Alec turns around to face Zeke, "Don't worry. I know what I'm doing-" Alec then trips, falling down a hill and hitting a tree.
"Alec!" Zeke yells. He immediately starts running up the hill where Alec fell down and notices Alec laying on the ground at the bottom of the hill, his hoodie having some dust on it.
"Are you okay?" Zeke asks him.
"Yeah, I think so." Alec tries to get up but when he tries to use his left hand, he flinches and yells in pain. "I think I broke my arm."
Zeke joins in, "Hold on, I'll come get you." Zeke starts carefully walking down the hill to Alec. When he reaches Alec, Alec hands him his right arm, Zeke lifts Alec up. Alec protectively holds his arm against his torso. Zeke starts leading Alec back to his car and places him in the passenger seat. He drives Alec to the hospital and he awaits Alec in surgery.
He then decides to call Ona and informs her of what happened to Alec, she freaks out, worrying for Alec's safety. He explains he should be fine, which calms Ona down. The nurse then walks out and calls for Zeke. He gets up and she leads him to Alec's room, with Alec on the bed. still being high from anesthesia.
Zeke walks into the room quietly and notices the cast on Alec's arm, "Hey, Alec, how are you doing?"
Alec gets excited to see Zeke, confused, "Hey, Zeke. What is going on my dude?"
Zeke takes a step back, confused, "What did you do to Alec? He would never talk to me like that."
The doctor responds, "He's still recovering from the anesthesia. He should be mostly back to his normal self in a couple of hours."
Alec keeps looking towards the doctor, cautiously, "Zeke, make sure he didn't steal my teeth. I feel he might've stolen a couple."
"Don't worry, he didn't steal your teeth, Alec. What would he do with your teeth?"
"Force me to enter a competition against other witches."
Zeke laughs at what Alec said, "Okay then. I'll make sure that doesn't happen, Alec," Zeke tells him, not seriously.
Zeke turns to the doctor, "When will he be ready to go home?"
"Anytime, but I recommend that he stays with someone for the time being," he responds, handing Zeke some paperwork, "Just make sure he signs these when he's able to."
Zeke grabs the paperwork. "Okay, thank you." He turns to Alec, "Come on, dude. Let's get you home."
"Okay." Alec gets up into the wheelchair next to his bed. Zeke starts pushing him outside and gets him into his car.
While Zeke drives Alec back home, Alec looks around at the surrounding buildings, disoriented. Mixed between, falling asleep and waking up.
"Zeke, what's that?" Alec asks him, pointing out the window.
Zeke briefly looks out the window, "A pigeon."
"You know why Elio and I have matching bracelets?" Alec asks him, still out of it.
"You do? How come?"
"It's because…" Alec falls asleep as he starts talking then immediately wakes up, "I need food!" Zeke jumps a bit not expecting it.
"Quick stop at that gas station!"
Zeke stops at the gas station and Alec grabs a ton of snacks and heads back to the car and they head home.
Zeke helps Alec up the stairs and into his apartment, "Come on, Alec. Let's get you to the couch."
"O-Okay."
Alec puts his arm on Zeke's arm and Zeke brings Alec to the couch and Alec lies down, dazed out. He stares at Zeke, causing him to get a bit uncomfortable.
"What's going on, Alec?" Zeke asks him.
"I-I just love the color of your skin." Alec reaches for Zeke. Zeke is a man of black descent, compared to Alec who is of white descent, despite both of them being Werewolves.
Zeke blushes a bit, "Thank you. But I think you should focus on resting for a bit."
Alec nods and falls asleep with Zeke placing a blanket on him. Alec rests for an hour undisturbed with Zeke keeping an eye on him.
Later, still a bit disoriented, Alec wakes up and looks around to see him in his apartment.
"Where am I?"
Zeke looks up from his book, "Hey, Bud. You're at your place. The doctor says you need to stay with someone. Want to call Elio?"
"Not to worry. I'm as capable as always, you won't even know I'm here.".
"No you're not. Doctor says to rest and you're resting whether you like it or not," Zeke sternly tells him.
"Can I at least play fight?"
Zeke shakes his head, "No."
"Running?"
Zeke shakes his head again.
"Arm wrestling?"
"What do you think?"
Alec, slightly upset, gets up and starts walking to the kitchen.
"Whatcha doing?" Zeke asks, looking at him curiously.
Alec looks back, "Getting some water to prove I'm not worthless."
"I wouldn't do that if I were you. Let me get it," Elio tells him, concerned.
Alec continues walking to the kitchen not caring what Zeke is telling him. He grabs the cup after a brief moment of struggle with Zeke watching him in the background. He places the cup in the sink and starts pouring water using his good arm. When he grabs the cup full of water, his hand shakes and drops the cup on the ground, pouring the water everywhere.
Alec gets upset, "Come on! I was doing so well tho!"
Zeke walks up to him, "I got this. Please let me help."
"Fine," Alec grumbles. Zeke grabs a rag and wipes the water up.
Zeke looks towards Alec, "Alec, go to the table. I will hand you your water."
"But I-" Alec tries to argue.
"No arguing, Alec. Sit," Zeke orders him. Alec tries to argue again but is shut down, Alec reluctantly agrees. Zeke fills a cup up with water and gives it to him.
"Thanks," Alec sighs, slightly smiling at him. He grabs his cup of water and slowly starts drinking out of it.
When he finishes his water, he quietly heads to the couch, knowing Zeke will fight him if he tries anything. He turns on a nature show on Hetflix and Zeke joins him, sitting on the spot next to him. They spend the rest of the afternoon hanging out and playing some board games with Zeke helping Alec out whenever needed. Later in the afternoon, Elio comes over to check on Alec to see if he needs any help. When Zeke walks over to the door to let Elio in. Elio sees the cast on Alec's arm.
"Hey, Alec. How's it going?" Elio asks, taking the other spot next to him.
"Pretty good other than being unable to use my arm for the next couple months. Zeke even signed my cast," Alec tells him, smiling. Showing him where Zeke signed it.
Elio chuckles at Alec still being his normal cheerful self, "Well that's cool." Alec's heartbeat quickens a bit when Elio cuddles up next to him.
"If you'll be fine, I'm gonna head back home. Ona is probably wondering where I am," Zeke tells both of them, getting up.
"Okay. Thanks for keeping me company in the meantime." Alec gets up and gives Zeke a hug. Zeke then gives Elio a handshake and heads out, texting Ona that he's heading back. Now alone, Elio and Alec sit on the couch together.
"Do you want to stay at my place for the time being? I can keep track of your condition while you rest."
Alec gets nervous and blushes a deep shade of red. Turning away from Elio, "S-S-Sure. I-I can stay with you for a while."
"Cool. Well I'll help you pack up to come over."
The two of them head to Alec's room and they pack up all of Alec's necessities and Alec takes a seat in Elio's Jeep. They head over to Elio's cottage and Alec takes foot in the cottage. As Alec settles into Elio's cottage, Elio brings him to his room so he can enjoy taking care of Alec.
