Chapter 59 - Chapter 59 The Caged Wolves Run

Ruby's POV

Our second intimate encounter left me completely drained. This man possessed the endurance of some relentless machine. I was beginning to suspect exhaustion was foreign to him entirely.

He finally called a halt when I nearly collapsed from weakness. My limbs trembled uncontrollably, energy completely sapped, blood sugar dangerously low.

"You need nourishment."

Without warning, he lifted me and deposited me at the table, sliding the breakfast spread back within reach.

"I'm not interested in eating," I mumbled weakly.

My stomach had been protesting loudly for hours, but appetite remained elusive.

"Eating isn't optional. Unless you prefer I spoon-feed you personally?"

He grabbed a fork and loaded it with scrambled eggs, his expression deadly serious. The realization hit me then - this ruthless, calculating Alpha would absolutely follow through on his threat to feed me like an infant.
