Chapter 3 - #3Chapter 3 The God-King ascends the throne

In this world, even gods have their strengths and weaknesses.

According to Taren's classification, they are categorized as Faint Divine Power, Minor Divine Power, Medium Divine Power, Major Divine Power, and Supreme (Creator) Divine Power.

At this moment, Taren undoubtedly possessed Faint Divine Power, while primordial gods like Gaea and Nyx were even higher than Major Divine Power, though they hadn't reached Creator Power.

As for Uranus, the God of the Sky, Pontus, the God of the Sea, and the Three Fates, these deities born from primordial gods like Gaea and Nyx were born with Medium Divine Power, but through growth and the evolution of the world, they could achieve Major Divine Power.

The so-called Creator Power was only possessed by Chaos, the world itself. For a god to reach this level, they had to gain the world's recognition, which was the position of... God-King!

Aside from a few primordial gods who rarely personified, probably no one would be indifferent to the position of God-King. That was the mighty power of creation, absolute strength and authority.

Uranus's heart was equally fervent, especially after hearing such a prophecy, even if the one who delivered it was a weak god he looked down upon.

However, he didn't know how to become the God-King, nor how to gain the world's recognition.

Until his twelve children with Gaea were born.

The laws of the world hummed, and new orders were born one after another: ocean, light, memory, justice, harvest, time... A total of twelve new laws, symbolizing twelve newborn gods. They were six sons and six daughters, and it was through their birth that the evolving world became more complete.

It was at the moment of their birth that Uranus felt the will of the world. He received the great [Patriarchy], and his divine power instantly swelled and surged.

At this moment, Uranus finally understood why the prophecy linked the God-King and the birth of his twelve children. The newborn gods were all his children, so he was naturally the King of Gods, and the world automatically placed the crown upon him.

He just couldn't understand how such a weak god could glimpse destiny.

But the facts were laid out before him, forcing him to believe. At least, in this gamble between them, he had lost.

He looked at his wife, Gaea, who had just given birth, and saw a complex, disbelieving expression in her eyes as well.

"Perhaps we should go and see that esteemed Highness again," Gaea took the initiative to say, "to apologize for our previous offense and to accept our loss."

"He did indeed prophesy the birth of our children, and our positions as God-King and God-Queen. This ability is astonishing."

"Let him attend our banquet," Uranus said after a moment of thought, "We can thank him properly at the banquet."

"Very well, such a special day deserves a grand celebration," Gaea agreed, "I will personally invite him, and ask him to witness this great moment."

"My beautiful God-Queen, you are so understanding," Uranus looked at Gaea tenderly, full of intimacy between them.

The newborn gods didn't know what was happening. Under the influence of patriarchy, they didn't even dare to question Uranus, all mumbling and afraid to speak.

But that didn't stop them from guessing what their Father God and Mother God were saying. It seemed someone had foreseen their birth in advance, and even the positions of Uranus and Gaea as God-King and God-Queen.

What kind of immense power was this? What kind of powerful existence was that?

But when Taren was led by Gaea to ascend the divine mountain, they realized they had overthought it, and were instantly immensely disappointed.

Because this deity was too weak.

So weak that even they, the newborn gods, could easily defeat him. So weak that even his materialized body of law wasn't very solid. Could such a god really glimpse destiny?

It truly was unbelievable. No wonder their Father God and Mother God didn't believe him back then.

However... [Prophecy] itself didn't seem to be a powerful divine office, so being a bit weaker was understandable.

The gods thought this in their hearts, continuing to observe silently, not daring to speak out of turn.

"I pay my respects to Your Majesty, the esteemed God-King."

Taren bowed slightly to the male god seated on the high platform, expressing his respect. Gaea, meanwhile, came to Uranus's side and stood quietly beside him.

"We meet again, esteemed Seer, God of Prophecy," Uranus said with a smile. Compared to their last meeting, his voice now was full of majesty, symbolizing supreme divine power.

"Forgive our previous presumption. Fate is truly an unfathomable thing. Before it happens, no one can imagine it will happen, not even I can judge it."

Compared to their last meeting, Uranus was much more polite this time. Even though he was now more powerful than when they last met, he had also witnessed the power of prophecy.

Taren smiled indifferently. He was in a good mood now, because of the increase in his divine power and because he had a physical body. This made him even more determined to push the wheel of fate.

He had not yet been fully recognized by this world. This might be Chaos's rejection of foreign souls, which was why his body was still somewhat ethereal. However... in a sense, the God-King represented the will of the world. If this world didn't recognize him, then let the God-King recognize him.

"Your Majesty, the God-King, need not worry. It is my honor to personally witness the birth of Chaos's first generation of God-Kings," Taren said sincerely, "Your appearance is the world's choice."

"And I merely glimpsed a corner of destiny."

'First generation of God-Kings'?

Gaea, who keenly caught the keywords, frowned slightly, and Uranus's eyes darkened even further.

The twelve newborn gods also sensed something and were all a little uneasy.

And Taren, as if unaware of their reactions, continued to praise earnestly: "You are so great, the world prospers even more because of your existence."

"Your Highness Taren," Uranus interrupted his praise, "Regarding our previous wager, we accept our loss, so I will grant you one condition."

"Have you thought about what you want?"

Seeing Taren show a thoughtful expression, Uranus said, feigning casualness, "If you haven't thought it through, perhaps you can wait."

"I wish to ask you for another prophecy. If you are willing, the condition can be raised later, and I will grant you the greatest leniency, agreeing to any condition I can fulfill."

Taren's lips curved slightly, knowing that the other party had taken the bait, but still pretended to be in a difficult position and pondered seriously. After a while, he nodded.

"It is my honor, Your Majesty, the God-King. What do you wish to know?"

"Wise prophet, I hope you can tell me whether I will be the eternal God-King in the future of this world."

Uranus looked at Taren and asked, enunciating each word, "Will I rule this world forever?"

As soon as these words were spoken, the entire divine hall fell silent. Gaea's face showed worry, and the newborn gods all looked at Taren with varying expressions.

Because this was a question that could cost him his life
