Chapter 3 - Harmony Points

Vincent's shout alerted the ones in the manor, making a few maids rush to his room and ask what was up.

Teary-eyed, Vincent could only make an excuse that he stubbed his toe while walking.

The maids were relieved and went back to inform their masters about it.

From the looks of it, this did not seem out of the blue to them.

Only when the maids had gone did Vincent sit on the body and wipe the tears off his face.

"System… system… sniff… why is it… why is it half the size of my past life…"

[Answering host…]

[The system does not know.]

More tears trickled down Vincent's eyes.

"S-System… this can't be… forget golden rod, this is not even worthy of being called nickel rod! Even with a complete hard-on, it looks—ahhh! I don't wanna imagine it anymore!"

Vincent tried to remove the cursed image from his mind.

[No need to be disheartened host. You can try to do the rolls. Maybe you'll end up summoning a mystical technique to lengthen it? After all, this is a world of sword and magic.]

"Sniff… really?" Vincent rubbed his eyes, giving in to the devil's whisper.

[The system does not lie.]

"Okay, okay. I remember I got a roll as a reward from the quest completion and a mystery box. Let's open the mystery box first and see what I have." Vincent became more rational as he found some hope in these hard times.

[Opening…]

[Ding!]

[Obtained: Tsundere Token x1, Mischief Wind x1]

[Tsundere Token: Can make a person act like a Tsundere for five seconds and alter their decision.]

[Mischief Wind: Minor whimsical effect resulting in no negative retribution.]

'Looks useless and perverted. Anyway, I seem to have two rolls now. Let me do it before I go down for breakfast.'

[Rolling…]

Crimson light fluttered around the system screen and Vincent saw silhouettes of rewards changing as if he was playing a slot machine in a casino.

[Ding!]

[Obtained: Charm Token x1, Soap Formula x1]

[Charm Token: Charm anyone and make them believe you once.]

Rolls seemed precious and this token seemed like something he could obtain from a Common Mystery Box. Vincent could only sigh and focus on doing another roll.

[Rolling…]

The crimson lights flashed again. The silhouettes changed continuously.

It should've taken just a second for the reward to appear, but a few seconds passed and it was still rolling.

The crimson light suddenly flashed like sparks and made Vincent dumbfounded.

"What is happening…"

+

[Ding! Ding! Ding!]

The thunderous flashing stopped as Vincent heard loud chimes of bells.

[Obtained: Yin-Yang Harmony Sutra!]

[Ding! Ding! Ding!]

[New system feature unlocked: Harmony Points!]

[Yin-Yang Harmony Sutra:

A long-forgotten technique of the ancient world, the Yin-Yang Harmony Sutra allows the practitioner to grow in any domain when performed with a partner of exceptional skill in that field.

To improve as a swordsman, one must perform it with a swords maiden, harmonizing her mastery into one's own. Activation requires 100/100 corruption, symbolizing complete surrender of restraint.

When performed with a partner of a different domain, such as a mage, the technique transfers select qualities—like dexterity or focus—without altering her foundation, granting subtle enhancements while preserving her essence.

A precise art of harmonizing essences, it elevates both practitioner and partner beyond conventional limits.]

[Harmony Points:

Harmony Points are a resource gained exclusively by performing the Yin-Yang Harmony Sutra with partners whose corruption is 100/100.

They measure the degree of successful essence harmonization during these acts. Points are only earned through the Sutra's practice—ordinary interactions or partial corruption yield nothing.

Harmony Points can be redeemed in the system for upgrades, treasures, or enhancements, but they cannot be exchanged for gacha Rolls. They represent mastery over the Sutra's alchemy of essences and the cultivation of synchronized potential.]

'What the fuck is this info dump? I can't understand shit.'

[Toning down system information to match the host's IQ…]

"…"

[Basically, the host has to corrupt a maiden to 100/100 points and cultivate this technique. Proper cultivation will result in host obtaining Harmony Points which can be used to redeem stuff from the system.]

"So… you're saying…"

Vincent's heart skipped a beat. He gulped a mouthful of dry saliva and continued, "…that I'm supposed to dual cultivate with jade beauties?"

[Host, this is not a xianxia fantasy and you are not Su Y*ng. Please stop spouting nonsense.]

"Ptui!" Vincent spat at the side. "You're just jealous that I got a dual cultivation technique. This is definitely what it means and you can't deny it otherwise. This is it! This is my breakthrough! I finally feel like a protagonist and you're trying to put me down? Heh, don't even bother to—"

[The system wishes to show the host a replay of today's events…]

[Playing…]

Vincent was pulled into a flashback and found himself back to pulling his pants to see what was underneath.

The moment he saw it…

.

.

.

Five minutes passed.

After cursing the nine generations of the dog system, Vincent finally made his way down to the dining hall.

Along the way, Vincent noticed that the manor's interior was made of wood and the overall structure was that of stone.

There also wasn't much furniture like one would expect in an aristocrat's house and only now did he realize that his room was furnished in a much better manner than the overall manor.

The windows were also quite narrow and had nothing lining it. They were merely openings in the outer structure.

'This looks a bit like the Middle Ages described in our history books.'

Vincent reached the largest space after climbing down one story and he didn't need to search for the dining hall as he could see people sitting in room attached to this space.

Entering that area, Vincent immediately heard a melodic voice.

"Vinny~"

Turning to the source, Vincent immediately froze.

A beauty, an absolute black-haired beauty, appearing no older than in her late 20s was waving at him with a smile.

The lady's hair was tied elegantly in a bun and various ornaments adorned her neck and ears. She wore a gothic black dress and would've appeared quite reserved, had it not been for her warm greeting.

Vincent knitted his brows the moment he read the last lines. His reading speed was fast due to years of being chronically online.

However, his thought process was interrupted with a cough from the side.

"My lady, please restrain yourself from such affection. Our child is a grownup now."

Turning to the source, Vincent saw a middle-aged man with gray sideburns.

+

+

Vincent knitted his brows upon looking at the information. His expression was misread by the Baroness as she put her hand over her mouth and said softly, "It seems Vinny didn't like what you said, dear."

"How long are you going to stay standing, Vin? Sit down." A commanding voice came from the side of the table, ruining the warm atmosphere.

Turning to the side, Vincent saw a young girl with red hair, in a similarly luxurious black dress like his mother's.

Her demeanor was like a rebellious girl but her face card was top notch. She seemed so beautiful that given a few more years, everyone would think his mother and her were twins.

Vincent quietly sat down on his chair, trying to digest every information.

In just a short while, he was barraged with so much info due to the appraisal skill.

The maids served him breakfast and a beverage. When Vincent had a look at the food served, his expression turned strange.
