[Misty: Huh? Pikachu can use Rain Dance?! Isn't that a move only Water-type Pokémon
can learn?!]
[Wallace: Not exactly. There are quite a few non–Water-type Pokémon that can learn
Rain Dance—but still…]
[Nessa: Still, a Pikachu that can use Rain Dance? That's a first for me! Black Ash really
taught his Pikachu a wild mix of moves!]
Wallace, the Water-type Champion, and Nessa, the Galar Water-type Gym Leader—they'd
both seen everything there was to see in Pokémon battles. But this? A Rain-Dancing
Pikachu? That was something straight out of their blind spot of knowledge. Grass Knot,
Iron Tail, Rain Dance…
So far, Pikachu had already shown three different move types, all outside the range of
what an ordinary Pikachu should even be able to learn! No one knew what other
surprises—or shocks—Black Ash's Pikachu still had in store.
[Lance: Pikachu learning Rain Dance is surprising, sure—but what's even more shocking
is Black Ash's tactical mind.]
[Cynthia: Exactly. When he ordered that full-field Thunderbolt, he was already
predicting—or rather, betting—that Koga would use a smokescreen-type move. And he
was right: Koga had Arbok use Haze.]
[Cynthia: Then, Black Ash flipped the situation—using Koga's own Haze to give Pikachu
time to set up Rain Dance, forcing Arbok into a direct confrontation! That was the only
way to avoid being slowly worn down to death.]
[Alder: Still, gotta say it—Koga fights dirty! Even when Black Ash was already on the
brink, he still refused to give the kid any chance, planning to poison-stall Pikachu to
death!]
[Bruno: He's a poison-type specialist. Cold-blooded comes with the job.]
[Koga: Hey, hey! Talk tactics all you want, but lay off the personal attacks, yeah?!]
[Koga: Black Ash wanted me to go all out, didn't he? Then of course I'll use everything
I've got! That's how a future Elite Four member shows respect to his opponent!]
In terms of raw strength, Koga knew he wasn't the strongest among the Elites—but
when it came to soft power? He could rank near the top. And what was soft power?
Poisons, misdirection, evasion, deception—those were the arts of a true poison master.
So, Koga wasn't wrong—what the viewers saw in the footage was him taking the battle
seriously, fighting Black Ash with his full tactical capability, never underestimating him
just because he was a boy with a Pikachu. Yet even so… his opponent had managed to
outsmart him, forcing him into a fair, head-on battle.
All he could do was sigh—What a terrifyingly talented kid. Good thing that Pikachu was
already poisoned, and on a pure power scale, still weaker than his Arbok. Otherwise… in
that other world, Koga might've actually lost.
In the Black World—
The heavy rain poured down. Koga no longer bothered with trickery—he'd decided to
meet Pikachu head-on. But as he said himself, at this point, going head-to-head would
only speed up Pikachu's defeat. The poison had already eaten deep into Pikachu's
stamina; the little mouse was visibly trembling.
From the sidelines, Misty and Brock clenched their fists tight, nerves stretched to the
breaking point. Misty didn't even notice the raindrops drenching her hair and clothes. Her
emerald eyes were locked on Pikachu—on Ash—her face wet with both rain and worry.
Come on, Ash… you can do it… Across the field, Koga's sister Aya was feeling the
complete opposite. To her, her brother's victory was already within reach. Still, she
couldn't help but feel admiration. That boy—to push her brother this far at his age—he
was easily the strongest young trainer she'd ever seen.
On the field, Ash took a deep breath.
He forced himself into perfect calm. This was it—the deciding moment. First, he had to
trigger the storm above… "Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" "Arbok, Sludge Bomb!" Golden
lightning poured down, amplified by the falling rain—its range expanding severalfold! But
Arbok spat out a mass of filthy sludge, forming a wall that absorbed the lightning's
impact. Any stray bolts that didn't hit directly? Koga didn't care—they wouldn't hurt
Arbok anyway. Ash ordered Pikachu to fire Thunderbolt again—and again. Three times in
total. Each time, blocked.
And with every exchange, Arbok slithered closer and closer. In this storm, keeping
distance only helped Pikachu, so Koga planned to close in and finish it in one physical
strike—a single, decisive blow from his boosted Arbok. But something felt off. Why was
Ash having Pikachu waste energy like this? Given Pikachu's poisoned state, each attack
should've been accelerating his own downfall. After the first Thunderbolt failed, Ash
should've known better.
Something wasn't right. Koga's eyes narrowed. "You've noticed? Too late," Ash
muttered. "Try the gift I prepared for you!" "If this one doesn't land, I'll admit defeat…"
Then, a faint blue light flickered in Ash's eyes. It spread outward like ethereal ribbons
trailing from his gaze.
At the same time, Pikachu's body shuddered—as if infused with new life, his weary form
brimming with energy once more. Aura—Fusion! "This is a move Pikachu and I created
ourselves—Pikachu, use Thunder!!"
"PIKA—CHUUUUU!!" Bolts as thick as water barrels burst from Pikachu's body,
rocketing skyward! The lightning speared into the clouds, and golden arcs danced
across the heavens. Within seconds, the gold shifted—into blue. Koga stared up at the
sky. A chill ran down his spine. A primal terror—so deep it made him forget to even
command his Pokémon.
"By calling down the rain clouds with Rain Dance, then channeling Thunder into the
storm, the lightning absorbs the power of the clouds and the atmosphere itself, growing
infinitely stronger…" "And finally—by combining it with the electric field formed by the
earlier
Thunderbolts—we complete the move: Lightning Release—Kirin!" As his voice fell, the
thunderclouds split open— From within the churning storm, a colossal creature made
entirely of lightning emerged. Its head resembled both dragon and stag, a single long
horn glowing like a celestial spear. Its aura was overwhelming—divine and terrifying in
equal measure.
It was a Kirin—the mythical beast of ancient legend. Unlike Legendary Pokémon, a Kirin
had never existed in reality—only in tales and carvings. But today, Ash and Pikachu had
created one from pure thunder. Even before it struck, its majestic form alone filled all
who saw it with awe and fear.
"In the roar of thunder… vanish!" Ash's final words echoed through the storm— The
azure Kirin bellowed from the heavens and descended! Blue-white lightning fell like a
meteor shower—the Kirin's massive head split open, devouring Arbok whole!
Then— BOOOOOOOM!!!
The explosion rocked the entire arena! Brilliant blue lightning ravaged everything in
sight, the world swallowed by thunder and light.
For a moment, the entire screen turned sky-blue— Viewers watching outside were
dumbstruck. What the hell was that?! Did they just… blue-screen the entire feed with a
single attack?! Absolutely ridiculous.
