Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Landing and Encounter on the Blue Pearl Planet Surface

(Scene: The diving pod's Hatch slowly opens. The outside air is fresh and humid. Divya steps out in her light Exo-Suit.)

Divya (Breathes in, looks around in awe). Captain, the Atmosphere here is completely 'Earth-standard'. I'm removing my outer helmet.

(Divya removes her helmet. Her hair blows in the muggy air. What's before her is unbelievable. The vegetation is purple and gold, and tiny, shiny particles are airborne. On the far horizon rise enormous, smooth Structures of metal and light that resemble an architect's fantasy.)

Divya (Whispering into the microphone) Aryan, this vegetation here. it's breathtaking. And the buildings. Captain, this is not like a city. These Buildings are suspended in mid-air, and they appear to be constructed of light. My scans show that there are particles of "Element 115" present in the atmosphere—an impossible power source.

Captain Aryan (V.O.) (Alarm in his voice) Divya, quick! Take samples and return before establishing any contact. We have no idea how such an Advanced Civilization will react to us.

(Suddenly, the ground a couple of meters ahead of Divya's feet lights up. No noise is created, but a sleek, Transparent Energy Wall instantaneously emerges from the ground around the pod. Divya is now pinned between the pod and the wall.)

Divya (Startled) What. what happened? Captain, I. I'm trapped! It's an Energy Field. My sensors can't scan it.

Captain Aryan (V.O.) (Loudly) Your pod has been scanned. Back away, Divya!

(Divya attempts to step back, but the energy wall prevents her. At that moment, three individuals quickly appear on the horizon from the far buildings. They are not humans. They stand approximately 8 feet tall, they are lean, and they have silver-smooth uniforms that resemble solidified light. Their faces are concealed within helmets.)

Divya (Breathe in) They are approaching, Captain. Three. I believe they are the inhabitants of this place. Their technology is unimaginable.

(The figures halt a few feet away from Divya. The central figure lifts its hand. Silence fills the air, but in Divya's ear, within her suit's communications receiver, a pure, untroubled voice speaks—almost as if someone were speaking into her mind.)

Unknown Voice (V.O. - Clear, Echoing) You. Diver. You have come too far, Earth-Traveler.

Divya (Stunned) Who. who are you? How do you know my language?

Unknown Voice (V.O.) Your language is a 'Wavelength' that we read from the Nexus. Your intentions. they are unclear. Why have you entered our boundary?

Divya We are ambassadors of peace! I came to discover a new way for humanity. a new home.

(The figures remain unmoving. There is no emotional response from their side.)

Unknown Voice (V.O.) 'Home'. an idea you destroy every time. This world, 'Eden', is no longer yours. This 'Nexus' isn't yours either. We have 'Sealed' it to keep it safe from Incompetent divers like you.

Divya Incompetent? We have traveled millions of light-years!

Unknown Voice (V.O.) It wasn't a journey. It was a blind plunge. Your 'Time-Distortion Engine' was destabilizing our network. You took a thousand-year journey in 7 seconds. Now. your gear has been 'Read'.

(Suddenly, all the lights on Divya's suit control panel go out with a shock. There is only a deafening 'Static' sound on the communication line.)

Divya (Panicked) Captain! Aryan, my suit is down! My communication. can you hear me?

Captain Aryan (V.O.) (Voice muffled in static) Divya. run! Your pod. they are taking control of it!

(The figures in silver suits slowly move towards Divya. The energy wall glows even brighter now.)

Divya (Calms down, gathering courage) I won't run. I am a Diver.

The New Test on Planet 'Edene'

(Divya remains firm within the glowing energy barrier. The three silver-clad entities move towards her; peculiar, luminous spheres are in their hands. Divya's heart is racing, but she does not retreat.)

The first of the figures moves closer and moves its orb above Divya's head, which slowly powers off her suit, and she starts to feel extremely light.

DIVYA

(In a low voice, with bravery)

What is it that you desire? I am on a mission of peace. I want only to talk.

UNKNOWN FIGURE

(Through telepathic communication)

Talk. that is what your kind demands all the time. But all talks lead to destruction.

DIVYA

(Breathing in, resolutely)

I am not like that. Humanity has evolved. We desire to learn, to exchange. Let us have an opportunity.

The third individual steps forward and places the orb before Divya; hazy childhood memories suddenly fill the mind of Divya—as if she sees herself on Earth, along with her family. She is overcome with emotion.

UNKNOWN FIGURE

(Through the same medium)

This is your trial, Diver. Learn Edene's past, sense its sorrow. If you pass, we will open the path to conversation.

(Visions of the past dance in front of Divya's eyes: Edene's native inhabitants being driven out by outside forces, the planet's atmosphere changing. She shudders.)

DIVYA

(Tears welling in her eyes)

I am sorry. We have done much wrong. But I swear, if we are given another chance, we will do better.

(The three look at one another. The color of the wall of energy shifts—from blue to light green, and then to white.)

LEAD FIGUR

(In a soothing tone)

We are not priests, nor are we forgivers. But you have consciousness. The doors may be opened—if humanity demonstrates the will to change.

(The energy wall dissipates gradually. Power starts to come back to Divya's suit, and communications are re-established.)

CAPTAIN ARYAN (V.O.)

(Emotional)

Divya! Are you all right?

DIVYA

(Smiling, hope in her eyes)

Yes, Captain. And perhaps we can find our way home—but this time, with humility and responsibility.

(The scene closes; a new day breaks in the bright, Earth-like blue sky of 'Edene'.
