Chapter 8 - LOVE FINDS IT'S WAY BACK

Chapter 8: Love Finds Its Way Back

Three weeks had passed since that painful night.

Three weeks of silence.

Three weeks without the sound of Wisdom's voice.

Future tried to move on — she buried herself in work, finished her designs, and smiled for everyone else. But every night, she found herself scrolling through their old messages, reading his words like prayers.

Across the sea in Italy, Wisdom wasn't doing any better. His designs were good, but his heart wasn't in them. Every sketch looked empty. Every night felt colder.

He'd replay their last messages over and over — "Maybe we just need space."

Those words haunted him. He hadn't meant them. Not at all.

One evening, Chiara — the same colleague in that photo — noticed his blank stare.

"Wisdom," she said kindly, "you're brilliant, but your mind isn't here. Go fix whatever's breaking your heart."

That night, without another thought, Wisdom booked the first flight back to London.

When Future opened her studio door the next morning, she froze.

There he was — standing right in front of her, looking tired, messy, and more handsome than ever.

"Wisdom?" she whispered, barely believing it.

He smiled softly. "I told you I'd always come back."

Tears welled in her eyes. "Why are you here?"

He took a deep breath. "Because I couldn't breathe without you. I thought I could focus, I thought space would help, but all I realized was… you are my peace. My muse. My everything."

Future's lips trembled. "You hurt me, Wisdom. I waited, and you—"

"I know," he said, stepping closer. "And I hate that I did. I got lost chasing success, but what's the point if I lose you along the way?"

She stared at him, silent. The tears came again — but this time, softer.

"I thought you'd forgotten me," she whispered.

He shook his head gently and reached into his pocket. Out came the same silver bracelet she'd once dropped during a stormy night — the heart-shaped charm glinting in his palm.

"I never did," he said. "Every day, I wore this and prayed I'd see you again."

Future's breath caught. She stepped into his arms, and for a moment, the whole world stilled.

No words. No explanations. Just two hearts forgiving and finding each other again.

When they finally pulled apart, she smiled through her tears.

"You flew all the way from Italy for me?"

He grinned. "I'd cross the world for you."

Outside, London rain began to fall again — soft and sweet, like a blessing.

Only this time, they shared one umbrella.
