Chapter 39 - Unexpected intervention

Despite their accumulated fatigue, both Saruto and Rhyn rose simultaneously. Rhyn unleashed a massive burst of fire at Saruto, who returned fire in kind, transforming his throat into that of a dragon using the power of darkness. The two attacks clashed. Each had gathered their remaining energy in their weapons and assumed their final attack positions, ready to unleash the decisive blow that would ultimately decide the outcome. They charged at each other, piercing through the flames they had fired.

But suddenly, two men appeared, separated by a gap of energy, and stood in the center of the arena, preventing the two attacks from colliding.

The crowd gasped, and voices of questioning rose:

"Who... who stopped the attack?"

The smoke that had filled the arena dissipated, revealing everything clearly. Everyone was stunned:

The king of the Leon clan, Saruto's father, stood resolutely, his eyes filled with strength and determination.

Beside him stood the Dragon King, father of Rain, with an immense aura and energy that inspired awe.

The students and teachers alike were shocked; they had never expected the two kings of one of the Eight Noble Families to appear here.

The Dragon King smiled and said calmly,

"Why did we stop them? When things started to get heated, they asked me to intervene."

The Lion King raised his voice, clearly laughing,

"Do you want them to harm the students around them?"

The arena fell silent for a moment, then the remaining kings from the Eight Noble Families began to enter.

The Hell Queen: "You always spoil the fun, King Luin."

The Light King: "What power these two have displayed!"

The Ice King laughed and said, "Your son, like you, owns dragons and is always full of enthusiasm."

The remaining kings entered, praising Rain and Saruto's strength.

The headmaster approached, smiling, and said:

"The kings have come at my invitation to witness the final battle of their sons… to see who will be victorious in this tournament. To see their sons' progress."

Silence and astonishment fell, then the attendees greeted the kings, and everyone saluted them with utmost respect.

The Dragon King said: "Even if we hadn't intervened, the battle would have been decided in my son's favor."

The Dark King replied: "Are you so sure, Dragon King? Because I know your son will be crushed by mine."

The two smiled, and in an instant, they unleashed their auras upon each other. The immense pressure caused some students to faint and collapse.

The headmaster intervened to stop them, saying: "The result will be a tie between the two heirs due to the intervention of two kings."

The two kings calmed down and stopped their auras upon hearing the result.

The Dark King said: "Now that the result is decided, let's enjoy the celebration that will take place."

The Dragon King replied: "Very well, as you wish."

They started laughing, surprising everyone, as the academy was nearly destroyed because of these two.
