Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: I Became the God of Light

Chapter 1: I Became the God of Light

"Great God of Light!"

"We praise You!"

"We come from You, and through You, we are sacred."

"Radiance is Your embodiment, and the sky shines because of Your joy…"

A group of Primitive People, dressed in animal skin skirts, with greasy, disheveled hair, and faces painted with various pigments, were led by an Old Priest.

They surrounded a two-meter-tall altar, their bodies swaying wildly, performing a strange dance, and occasionally praying loudly.

On the altar, a fist-sized white stone, shaped like a pebble, was placed.

"Who is it? Who is speaking?"

Su Yun heard the various prayers in his ears, and gradually awoke from his dazed state.

A group of bony, hairy Primitive People appeared before him, and he was confused.

"Who am I?"

"Where am I?"

After a while, he gradually recalled everything.

"My name is Su Yun, I am from the Modern World…"

Su Yun remembered playing on his phone for a long time, and because he was too sleepy, he lay down on his bed for a nap.

He had only intended to rest for a moment, but unknowingly, he fell asleep.

When he woke up, he found a group of Primitive People, naked from the waist up, filthy, and only wearing short animal skin skirts, dancing around him.

They even spoke all sorts of inexplicable things!

"God of Light?"

As he was confused, the dancing Primitive People gradually stopped their movements.

The previously fervent atmosphere completely disappeared.

"Did it fail?" The Old Priest looked despairing, his face full of sorrow as he stared at the stone that showed no reaction.

"We are finished… Without a god, the monsters outside the Tribe will devour us sooner or later."

Hundreds of Primitive People all had faces filled with despair.

"Cough, cough…" The Old Priest raised his hand to cover his mouth and coughed violently.

He opened his hand and looked at the bloodstains, his face slowly turned paler, and his emaciated body swayed, so weak that it seemed a gust of wind could blow him away.

The Tribe Leader, wearing a colorful feather headdress and built more robustly than the other Primitive People, immediately looked at him with concern, "Priest, are You alright?"

The Old Priest silently shook his head.

The middle-aged strong Tribe Leader sighed and advised, "Priest, Youdon't need to offer sacrifices anymore. It seems the god will not appear, and Your body…"

"You don't need to persuade me." The Old Priest shook his head.

Although he also felt a wave of despair in his heart, his face remained firm.

"Why must You do this…" The Tribe Leader hesitated, wanting to say something.

Just as they were arguing.

No one noticed that, shortly after Su Yun truly woke up, the stone on the altar actually began to emit a faint Light!

The Light grew stronger and stronger!

After someone accidentally discovered this situation, they immediately cried out in surprise.

"Oh my God! Look, You!"

Many Primitive People were startled and quickly turned their heads to look at the altar.

Their eyes were fixed on the stone on the altar, and upon seeing the Light, their expressions became blank.

Both the Tribe Leader and the others were utterly stunned and disbelieving at this moment.

Although they had been performing sacrifices earlier, it was merely to comfort themselves; they knew in their hearts that the god would not appear.

Their Tribe would only face a tragic end in the future.

But now, had the god truly descended?!

They desperately widened their eyes, staring at the glowing stone.

"Haha, it really appeared! I told You, I told You…" The Old Priest's cheeks flushed as he laughed heartily, his body trembling with excitement, and two lines of cloudy tears unconsciously flowed from his eyes.

Su Yun was somewhat confused, looking at the group of Primitive People cheering around him.

He thought somewhat sluggishly, "Could it be… I am the god?"

As he thought this, he also noticed that the Primitive People spoke in a very strange language, unlike anything he could understand.

But the reality was that he could understand what they were saying!

Before he could continue pondering, the Primitive People made new movements.

"The great god has descended!"

"Quickly bring forth the sacrifice!"

The Old Priest was agitated, shouting excitedly.

Su Yun's expression froze, and in his confusion, he saw several stronger Primitive People jointly carrying a strong middle-aged man who was bound with grass ropes and struggling desperately.

The middle-aged man saw these people carrying him towards the altar, and seemed to realize something, he roared in shock and anger.

"What do You want to do!"

"Let go of me, quickly let go of me!"

"I am from the Ice Tribe! You damned fellows actually dare to capture me?!"

"Ah!" The middle-aged man kicked and screamed.

However, no matter how much he struggled or threatened, the expressions of the several Primitive People carrying him did not waver in the slightest; they continued to steadfastly carry him towards the altar.

Gaining the god's favor was the most important thing; a mere verbal threat from an enemy was not taken to heart at all.

Su Yun's heart sank when he saw this scene, and he suddenly had a strange premonition.

The middle-aged man looked at the glowing stone, his eyes growing more terrified, his body trembling, and he shrieked, "Evil god!"

Hearing his words, the Primitive People's eyes flared with anger, and they all glared at him.

The strong Tribe Leader immediately stepped forward, holding a stone knife in his hand, and with a cold gaze, he plunged it into the man's neck!

Pffft~

The technique was swift, and blood instantly splattered, some of it even splashing onto the Tribe Leader's face, adding a few points of ferocity to his fierce appearance.

Several Primitive People let go, and the man fell down, convulsing, blood gushing from his neck, slowly staining the yellowish-brown ground black.

Su Yun was at a loss, staring blankly as a vibrant life suddenly departed before his eyes, unsure what to feel.

He had expected to feel fear and disgust, but for some reason, he only felt a faint aversion; none of the negative emotions he thought he would experience arose, as if this event should be perfectly normal in his eyes.

"Could it be, I've become perverted?"

Su Yun muttered to himself.

A transparent figure floated out from the corpse of the dead man.

"Is this a soul?" Su Yun guessed in astonishment.

This scene truly shattered his worldview, and most importantly, he could even see the soul!

He carefully looked at the Primitive People, but found that none of them had noticed the figure.

It seemed only he could see this thing.

The transparent figure looked bewildered, seemingly having lost its consciousness, and then, influenced by something unknown, it gradually floated towards Su Yun.
