Draven suddenly knocked over his coffee, his face darkening. He understood the Noah family needed Rowan's support, and he'd been helping for Jill's sake, but learning Rowan had feelings for Jill was news to him.

He shot up from his chair. "Jill's a good person. She shouldn't be getting so close to someone like Rowan."

He was about to charge over and drag Jill away.

"Hold on there, hero," I said, cutting him off. "You might want to see these first."

I slid a stack of photos across to him—Jill and Rowan dining together, shopping, always leaning in close like they shared some private joke. They never actually touched, but the way they gazed at each other screamed intimacy.

Every single shot captured their soft smiles, eyes full of warmth—two people clearly dancing around each other, not quite together but definitely more than friends.

Draven's face went white as paper. His grip tightened on the photos, almost crushing them.
