Sandy's POV
Dominic sprawled on the floor for what felt like hours, his groans echoing through the silent chamber as his body struggled to repair itself.
Every crack in his bones sent waves of torment through our mate bond, and he made damn sure I experienced every second of his suffering.
Charles stepped toward me, extending his hand to help me stand. I raised my palm, refusing his assistance. His jaw clenched, darkness flickering in his eyes, but he stepped back without argument.
"Alpha King, we have a serious problem here," one of the Alphas spoke up, though I could barely focus on which one. "Alpha Dominic is your nephew. This could escalate into a family matter, and the Council Elders might demand involvement."
My vision blurred at the edges, consciousness slipping as the pain coursing through my body became unbearable. I squeezed my eyes shut and pressed my hand against my stomach, using my other arm to brace myself against the cold floor.
