The warehouse went quiet.

Not the fragile silence of mercy—but the heavy, suffocating kind that follows certainty.

Cassian Vinter lay slumped against the chair, half-dead already, drenched in his own blood. His breaths were shallow, uneven, and wet. Every inhale sounded borrowed. His body twitched weakly, no longer defiant—only exhausted, emptied of arrogance, fear finally settling into his bones.

Theo and Rowan stood nearby.

Their hands were stained crimson. Not shaking. Not hesitant. Men who had crossed the point where blood no longer startled them. The instruments of judgment lay discarded at their feet, metal slick, purpose fulfilled.

Cassian coughed—a broken, mocking sound.

"You… all will… go to—"

Theo moved before the sentence could finish. His fist slammed into Cassian's face with brutal finality.

"Hell?" Theo said calmly, voice cold as iron. "No, dear brother. Hell and heaven aren't places you go."
