Chapter 66 - Bartholomew Kuma

If it were, there's no way they could have afforded to build such a large dock.

Moreover, there were other merchant ships docked there too; it was nothing like what the shipmates had described, saying no other merchant ships ever came here.

He didn't know whether the merchants had lied to him, but that no longer mattered.

Kuma glanced at the villagers still queuing in front of him with a gentle smile on his honest face, and said softly: "Next!"

Even though his nearly seven-meter height made him quite intimidating among these inexperienced villagers, the villagers' fear vanished at the sight of Kuma's gentle smile.

They all eagerly approached, even those who were not ill, hoping to have this divine doctor soothe their fatigue.

But just as the next villager was about to step forward…

"Wait, wait! Make way! Make way!"

The voice of Village Chief Martin echoed with anxiety, causing all the villagers to stop and look in the direction of the voice.

Could it be pirates again?

Or is Village Chief Martin seriously ill?

But before they could figure out why Village Chief Martin was so anxious, they saw him approaching with Ian and Robin.

As they walked, he shouted.

"I finally managed to get them here. You guys take it easy. Let the two children see the doctor first. It's been so long, and they haven't even had a kid yet. I don't know if there's anything wrong with them."

This voice brought the previously confused villagers to their senses, and they all smiled with realization.

"Ah, that's true! They should get checked out, it's been ages!"

"Ian is so strong, there shouldn't be anything wrong with him!"

"Could there be something wrong with Robin?"

"Who says that? Maybe it's Ian? Some people look strong on the outside, but you don't know what's wrong with them underneath. It's impossible to tell!"

"Pfft, Ian and Robin are definitely fine. Even if they are not, there's a divine doctor here who can definitely heal them!"

Ian: "..."

Enough already!

Can you people show some respect and stop gossiping about the patients?

Hearing the villagers' unfiltered chatter, Ian's face darkened. He didn't think there was anything wrong with him; after all, he had mastered Life Return!

Still... These villagers sure loved to gossip!

What nonsense were they even spouting?

A moment later, with a look of helplessness on his face, Ian was dragged before the so-called divine doctor by Village Chief Martin.

But before he could say anything, Ian froze in place when he looked up at the massive man in front of him, wearing glasses and a brown, spotted bear-ear hat.

His unique attire and impressive height made him instantly recognizable.

Bartholomew Kuma?

But how did he end up in the West Blue, and even in the Sibia Village?

While Ian was stunned…

"Hurry, hurry, hurry!"

Village Chief Martin couldn't wait any longer. Seeing Ian motionless, he hurriedly urged, "Why are you still standing there? Let the divine doctor take a look. This is the only divine doctor we have had in ages in the Sibia River Archipelago. You'd better seize this opportunity. Do you still want to go to Dr. Leck, that quack who only cuts off feet and hands when they hurt?"

"Didn't you think Dr. Leck was a good doctor?"

"That was before I met a real divine doctor!"

Village Chief Martin said confidently, unashamed of his previous words.

"What, you really got something wrong with you or what? Come on already!"

Ian: "..."

Who's got something wrong with them?

Who?!

And Robin... Why are you laughing too?!

After hearing Village Chief Martin's words, Ian, with a scowl, was about to show the old man his prowess, but thought better of it.

The sun was shining brightly, and he was afraid he'd knock the old man down with one punch!

And… Ian looked speechless at the villagers behind him, who hadn't even lined up and were now approaching.

He raised his eyelids and said in a stern voice: "What are you doing? Hurry up and line up!"

Just as he finished his words...

"It's okay, Ian, we will take care of it. You don't have to worry about us."

"That's right, Ian, just mind your own business. We're just curious!"

"What do you mean by curious? What nonsense! We're concerned about Ian's health. If there's something wrong, we can all work together to find a solution."

Ian: "..."

Who's got a problem?!

Ian's face twitched, but before he could say anything,

Robin, who was chuckling, tugged at his hand and blinked playfully: "Don't be afraid, dear. Just take a look!"

Ian: "..."

Don't you know if there's something wrong with me?

Ian looked helplessly at Robin.

Robin blushed at Ian's strange look, but she didn't avoid it. Instead, she gave him a meaningful wink in return.

Under everyone's watchful eyes, he sighed and sat down in front of the so-called divine doctor.

Kuma didn't say much about this, but a hint of curiosity flickered beneath his rimless glasses.

He pushed his glasses up, smiled gently, and said, "Excuse me, are you feeling unwell?"

This was no ordinary villager.

The moment Ian appeared, Kuma observed him.

No matter how he looked at it, the sturdy man before him, seemingly bathed in sunlight, was no ordinary man.

Those muscular, powerful muscles, piercing eyes, and the aura that occasionally emanated in the sunlight... Even though he hid it well, Kuma could still sense it.

This was a powerful man!

And a powerful man of considerable strength!

But he was also a powerful man deeply loved by the villagers of the Sibia Village.

Although Kuma did not know the true identity of this powerful man before him, from the villagers' reactions after his arrival, he could tell that his status and reputation in the Sibia Village were not ordinary.

And that was enough!

To be respected by so many villagers, he was definitely not a bad person!

"Excuse me, are you feeling unwell?"

Bartholomew Kuma said calmly, like a good-natured, honest man. "Don't worry, I'm also a priest. I would never reveal a patient's privacy."

Ian: "..."

With so many people watching, what privacy was there left to protect?

Wait, what privacy did he even have to begin with?

Ian was speechless for a moment, but he didn't bully the honest man. Instead, he pondered carefully and said, "I'm not feeling unwell."

But just as he finished speaking, before Kuma, with a slightly furrowed brow, could say anything, Village Chief Martin overheard him and said angrily: "What nonsense are you talking about? You know, he's a divine doctor. If we miss him this time, we don't know when we'll see him again in the Sibia Village."
