Chapter 25 - Urgent

"Captain, don't you have important matters you're rushing to attend to? Is it alright to stay on this island?"

It was Xia Tali who asked the question, and Luo Yan's lips curved slightly, a hint of bitterness in his smile.

"While it is indeed very important, I must first advance and fully digest the potion before that. This isn't an easy task, and a little extra time won't hurt."

"Alright, I understand."

Xia Tali nodded, no longer having any questions.

Before nightfall, the four cleared a campsite, set up tents, and started a bonfire. Luo Yan sat by the bonfire, roasting fish that Luo Ta had caught. The exploration trio, because they were starting their island exploration tomorrow and two of them had just advanced, didn't stay up late and went to sleep in their tents early, leaving only Luo Yan to keep watch.

"Ah... the potion is about four-fifths digested. I wonder if I can finish digesting it before leaving here. After that, I still need to digest the Ocean Singer potion. How am I supposed to digest that? Am I going to hold concerts every day? Should I buy speakers and a microphone?"

In his boredom, Luo Yan's thoughts wandered until he smelled the scent of burnt fish and came back to his senses. He quickly moved the fish away from the bonfire, carefully cleaned off the burnt parts, and took a small bite.

"Mm! So delicious!"

Although Luo Yan ate fish almost every day, due to the limited conditions on the ship, he couldn't roast it. Now, having a bite of roasted fish felt exceptionally good.

"Ah... I wonder if I can make it in time."

After finishing the roasted fish, Luo Yan began to worry again. The reason he was in such a hurry was to see Whitebeard, which was a shortcut to advancing to Sequence 4 Calamity High Priest.

Because one of the main ingredients for the Sequence 4 potion is the stem of a devil fruit that can cause natural disasters, or 80 milliliters of blood from a corresponding devil fruit ability user. The advancement ritual is to endure until the end amidst earthquakes and Tsunami.

Whitebeard's Tremor-Tremor Fruit undoubtedly met the conditions, and Whitebeard could also easily cause earthquakes and Tsunami. However, Ace was about to be captured soon, the Summit War was about to break out, and Whitebeard was going to die.

That's why Luo Yan was rushing to find Whitebeard. He had to see Whitebeard before Ace was captured. Whitebeard's health was already very poor now. If he could just see Whitebeard and have Xia Tali give him a few potions to restore Whitebeard's condition somewhat, Whitebeard would certainly be happy to help Luo Yan trigger a small earthquake and Tsunami.

As for how to obtain Whitebeard's blood, that was too simple. He could just have Xia Tali draw a tube of blood under the guise of a medical test. 80 milliliters was just one syringe, which wouldn't arouse suspicion.

And the reason Luo Yan immediately ordered to go to Alabasta upon entering the Grand Line was because he knew Luffy would meet Ace in Alabasta. If he could seize this opportunity and have Luffy connect them, everything else would become very easy.

But the premise of all this was that Luo Yan could finish digesting the Ocean Singer potion before everything happened.

Once he missed this chance, not only would the materials be difficult to gather, but just encountering an earthquake and Tsunami would be very hard. If he didn't encounter an earthquake and Tsunami for several consecutive years, wouldn't he be unable to advance for years? How could a Sequence 5 survive once the world situation became chaotic?

Thinking of this, Luo Yan immediately felt a sense of urgency and decided not to waste time. He then flew into the air and began to digest the potion.

The next day, the three-person team began their exploration of the island. Luo Yan wasn't idle either; he rode the wind, watching from a high vantage point. When he felt his spirituality was insufficient, he would land on a treetop, using the sounds carried by the wind to constantly monitor the trio's situation, but he never let them notice him. He didn't want them to know he was watching from afar, as that would make them overconfident.

The trio's exploration went more smoothly than Luo Yan had imagined. Although there were many formidable wild beasts on the island, such as tigers that were nearly two meters tall when on all fours, elephants over four meters tall, and rhinos with blood-red eyes that seemed to be in a constant state of madness, the trio, relying on their teamwork and newly acquired magical items, managed to deal with them all without major incident, and also harvested quite a few Beyonder characteristics.

Luo Yan had specifically told the three about this aspect before, as they would still need to trade with the Revolutionary Army in the future. Dragon's intention was to build an army of Beyonders, which would require a large number of Beyonder characteristics. Luo Yan couldn't collect them all himself, and since there were already Beyonders besides himself, Beyonder materials and characteristics certainly couldn't be kept secret, so it was better to just tell them directly.

Luo Yan discovered that when he listened to the information carried by the wind, the speed of potion digestion would noticeably increase.

In just two days, Xia Tali successfully tamed a wild beast: a snow-white mink with intelligent eyes that gave off a very spiritual feeling. This was Luo Yan's first impression upon seeing the mink, but he didn't know if the mink gained a bit of spirituality after being tamed, or if Xia Tali chose it because it was inherently spiritual.

By the fourth day, Luo Ta's potion was finally digested. Luo Yan helped Luo Ta prepare the potion and told him its name was "Provoker." It was then that Luo Ta understood why Luo Yan had given him that mirror.

After another three days, the three-person team helped Xia Tali tame a second wild beast: a monkey with pale golden fur. It wasn't large, standing less than a meter tall when upright, the kind that could squat on a person's shoulder. And on this day, Luo Yan finally finished digesting the Wind Favored One potion.

As soon as the potion was digested, Luo Yan immediately built a temporary small wooden house, less than four square meters, with wooden boards. After coating the walls of the wooden house with sound-reflecting material, Luo Yan began to prepare the Ocean Singer potion.

First were the auxiliary materials: coral collected from the deep sea, golden pearls, and beautiful flowers.

When all the auxiliary materials had dissolved into liquid, Luo Yan finally took out two items: one was a solidified heart, which was Arlong's heart, and the other was three purple feathers with branch-like silver-white patterns on their surface.

The heart and feathers immediately dissolved upon contact with the liquid, as if they were meant to be one with those liquids. The final result was a bottle of blue liquid, like seawater, occasionally producing tiny whirlpools and sometimes flashing with electricity.

Luo Yan's spiritual intuition told him that the potion was successful; this was the Ocean Singer potion!

He didn't hesitate, directly tilting his head back and pouring the potion into his mouth.

Boom!

Luo Yan only felt a roar in his head, and then the potion inside him began to expand, crashing wildly through his body. Finally, he couldn't help but let out a heavy "hmph."

Visible sound waves spread from his mouth, and he instantly felt a moment of disorientation, as if part of his soul had left his body with the sound waves. However, the sound waves were reflected back after hitting the wooden house wall, and that bit of extracted soul returned to his body.
