Chapter 47 - Mater plan

The morning sun rose quietly, but for Perun and Vaelor, it wasn't a peaceful start.

Both woke up early and prepared for their separate roles.

Vaelor headed toward Eagle Eye headquarters, his expression sharp and focused.

Perun, on the other hand, once again wore the disguise of Raven and made his way toward Lukman's office building.

Inside the office, Lukman was already waiting— in the disguise of Arthur Conan. His appearance was calm and professional, but his eyes revealed calculation.

As Perun entered, Lukman looked up.

"Hello," Lukman said. "Have you thought about how you're going to convince them?"

Perun adjusted his coat slightly. "Yes… but I'm not completely sure."

He walked closer and lowered his voice.

"First, we tell them the seaport work is done and say them that they can send their people freely now but the only problem is the tighten security in Indus City—especially in the sea area."

Lukman folded his arms."But what if the Vice-Chancellor doesn't come after that?"

Perun's eyes narrowed slightly. "Ya I don't think he will. And for that… I have a master plan."

Lukman looked interested. "What is it?"

"First, we need spy cameras. Recorders. Trackers. We gather evidence. If they try something big, we expose everything."

Lukman nodded slowly. "Okay… yes. That makes sense."

The game was no longer about control.

Old Traditional Hotel – Secret Meeting

At the same time, inside an old traditional hotel in the heart of Florith, Vice-chancellor Adolf Benzamin sat at a large wooden dining table. Three men in formal attire sat with him.

They were governors: Alex – Governor of Luonsa City

Ronlay – Governor of Doret

Kettle – Governor of Belen

The atmosphere was formal, but tense beneath the surface. Plates of expensive food lay untouched as political discussions filled the air.

Suddenly, Adolf leaned forward.

"It's time," he said calmly. "We remove the High Chancellor from his position… and take down the Senate."

The words landed heavily.

All three governors looked at each other.

Alex frowned immediately.

"That sounds like rebellion."

Kettle set down his fork. "We are not interested in this."

Ronlay leaned back. "So this was your master plan? People are spreading rumors that some big deal is trying to take you down, Mr. Adolf… and i think it was all part of your plan, now you want to start a political war?"

Adolf remained calm. Slowly, he placed a suitcase beside the table and opened it.

Stacks of money.

Silence. Their expressions shifted.

Kettle cleared his throat. "Well… money changes discussions."

Alex still looked uneasy. "It's not a good idea. It's practically inviting death upon yourself."

Ronlay spoke again. "I can agree… if you give me money. But what about the Senate? Even if you remove the High Chancellor, can you control the Senate?"

Adolf smiled faintly. "I have some guys who can handle that."

Kettle's eyes narrowed. "Are you talking about the Three Families Union?"

Adolf didn't answer directly.

Kettle continued, "They're from Deccan. After the news spreads, it will be almost impossible for them to enter Florith without attention."

He stood up. "I cannot support this plan."

Alex stood as well. "I think I also cannot."

Both governors left the table.

Now only Ronlay remained. He leaned forward, lowering his voice.

"I can support you… but you must guarantee my security."

Adolf nodded slowly.

Eagle Eye Headquarters – Mission Division

Back at Eagle Eye, the atmosphere was serious.

Everyone was preparing for a new mission.

Augustin was quietly studying papers filled with political names and suspicious transactions.

Jackson and Truman were assigned to investigate the "big deal" connected to the the three families and the person from the parliament.

Vaelor stood beside Robert.

Their target was The Three Families Union.

Robert adjusted his coat. "So we're visiting the lion's den?"

Vaelor replied calmly, "We're just observing."

Both of them headed toward the residential mansion area where Junwell, Alfred, and Caeson lived.

The mansion stood tall and guarded, surrounded by high walls.

Vaelor looked at it silently.

The area around the mansion was unusually quiet. Too quiet.

Vaelor and Robert had been watching from a distance for nearly twenty minutes. No guards at the visible gates. No vehicles entering or leaving. No movement behind the tinted windows.

Robert lowered his binoculars. "All clear outside. No suspicious movement."

Vaelor didn't respond immediately. His eyes were scanning every angle of the estate. From the outer view, the mansion almost looked abandoned.

"No lights. No shadow movement," Robert whispered. "It feels like no one's inside."

Vaelor narrowed his eyes. "Or they want us to think that."

Suddenly—Vaelor's instincts flared.

A faint vibration in the ground. The distant sound of footsteps.

"Someone's coming," he whispered sharply.

Without hesitation, he grabbed Robert's arm and pulled him toward the side garden. They hid behind a thick tree near the stone boundary wall, partially covered by trimmed hedges.

Two figures approached the main gate.

One wore a traveler's hat, spectacles, and had a slight beard. His posture was relaxed but alert. The other had white hair and a well-kept moustache.

Vaelor bent slightly to get a clearer look. His eyes widened for a second.

Perun… in his Raven persona.

And the other—Lukman. In Arthur Conan's disguise.

Vaelor remembered Perun mentioning something about infiltrating them… but what were they doing here?

Robert, who had seen them first, whispered, "So… they're the executives of the Three Families."

Vaelor shook his head immediately. "No. They're not."

Robert frowned. "How do you know? This location is secret. We got this information from Jackson himself."

Vaelor kept his voice steady. "Oh, did he? You forget… we already encountered one of them in Doret City."

Robert thought for a moment. "Oh. That time."

He narrowed his eyes at the two men entering the gate. "But that was only one person. I think there are two more."

Vaelor replied calmly, "Nah. I saw them when the car came to rescue them. There were two people inside."

Robert looked confused. "Huh…"

But inside, Vaelor knew something else. He was lying.

He knew very well that Junwell, Alfred, and Caeson existed. He had seen them and spoken to them.

But if Robert realized Perun was moving independently… if Eagle Eye discovered Perun's involvement with Lukman…

Everything would collapse. Vaelor's gaze stayed fixed on the mansion gate as it slowly closed behind Perun and Lukman.

What are you doing, Perun? he thought.

The mission was getting more complicated.
