Chapter 3 - Rules of the game

Wu Suo Wei woke up the next morning,

For a moment, he forgot where he was—

then reality crashed back....

His new prison disguised as protection.

He got out of bed and tried the door but locked ..

Wu suo wei whispering — ohh..it's Locked from outside..

"Of course it is," he muttered.

The adjoining door suddenly opened, and Chi Cheng walked in—

"Good, you're awake." Chi Cheng was already dressed in an expensive black suit, looking every bit the dangerous crime lord.

"Breakfast is ready. Come with me..."

"But The door is locked."

"I know. I locked it." Chi Cheng's expression was unapologetic. "Until I'm certain you won't try to run."

"This is kidnapping—"

"This is protection." Chi Cheng grabbed Wu Suo Wei's wrist, pulling him toward the adjoining door. "Now come eat before I have to feed you myself."

Wu Suo Wei was pulled through Chi Cheng's bedroom—massive, dark —and down to a dining room where an elaborate breakfast was laid out.

Guo Cheng Yu sat at the table, looking amused.

"Morning, Doctor. Sleep well in your gilded cage?"

"Cheng Yu," Chi Cheng warned.

"What? I'm just being friendly." Guo Cheng Yu grinned. "Not every day the boss brings home a pretty doctor and declares him off-limits to the entire organization."

Wu Suo Wei's eyes widened. "Off-limits?"

"Everyone knows you're mine," Chi Cheng said casually, sitting down and pulling Wu Suo Wei into the chair next to him. "Touch you, look at you wrong, even think about you inappropriately—they wil die.. it's Simple rules you know..."

"You can't just—"

"I can. I did. Now please eat..."

Wu Suo Wei stared at the food, his appetite gone. "I need to go to work. I have patients—"

"You quit."

"What?!"

"I had your resignation submitted this morning.

Effective immediately." Chi Cheng sipped his coffee calmly. "You're not going back to that hospital.. it's Too dangerous you know..."

"You can't make me quit my job!"

Already done." Chi Cheng's eyes met his,

Your life as Dr. Wu Suo Wei,, is over... Welcome to my world.

Wu Suo Wei felt panic rising.

"This is insane—"

"This is survival." Chi Cheng leaned closer, his voice dropping. "You want to know what happened last night? The Zhao family sent fifteen men to the hospital looking for you. Fifteennn. If you'd been there, you'd be dead right now. So yes, I made decisions for you. Because you don't understand how this world works."

"Then explain it to me!"

Chi Cheng studied him for a long moment, then nodded. "Fine. Cheng Yu, tell him."

Guo Cheng Yu leaned back, his casual demeanor shifting to something more serious.

"Chi Cheng controls the east side of the city. Drugs, weapons, protection—everything runs through him. The Zhao family wants his territory. They've been trying to take him down for months. But Failed,

But now they know you saved his life. That makes you leverage. They'll torture you to get to him. Kill you to hurt him. You're a target, Doctor. And the only person who can keep you alive is sitting right next to you."

Wu Suo Wei felt cold. "So I'm bait?"

"No." Chi Cheng's voice was hard. "You're mine. And I protect what's mine. No one touches you. No one threatens you. I'll burn this entire city down before I let anyone hurt you."

The intensity in his eyes made Wu Suo Wei's breath catch.

"Why?" Wu Suo Wei whispered. "Why me? You don't even know me—"

"I know enough." Chi Cheng's hand moved to Wu Suo Wei's face, thumb brushing his cheek.

"I know you saved my life without hesitation. I know you're brave—most people would've run when they saw my scars, knew what I was. I know you're beautiful. And I know..." his voice dropped, "that the moment I woke up and saw you, something in me decided you were mine."

"That's not how it works—"

"In my world? That's exactly how it works." Chi Cheng's grip tightened slightly. "I see something I want, I take it. I want you. So you're mine now."

"I'm not a possession—"

"Not a possession. But My person,My responsibility,My future." Chi Cheng leaned in until his lips were a breath away from Wu Suo Wei's. "And whether you accept it now or later doesn't matter. The end result is the same. You'll be mine. Completely."

Before Wu Suo Wei could respond, Chi Cheng stood abruptly.

"Eat. Then Cheng Yu will show you around the mansion. Stay inside the walls. My men are everywhere, but so are threats. I have business to handle."

"What kind of business?"

Chi Cheng's smile was cold. "The kind that ensures the Zhao family regrets threatening what's mine."

He left, and Wu Suo Wei slumped in his chair, overwhelmed.

"He's intense, I know," Guo Cheng Yu said sympathetically. "But he's not lying about protecting you. I've known Chi Cheng for fifteen years. I've never seen him this possessive over anyone. You're special to him."

"He doesn't even know me!"

"He knows enough. And trust me, when Chi Cheng decides something? It's done. Fighting it just makes it harder on yourself."

"So I should just accept being kidnapped—"

"Protected," Guo Cheng Yu corrected. "And yes. Because the alternative is being dead.

Now Your choice, Doctor."
