Chapter 17 - Hooking up with the Alpha

Alfred's POV

It was nightfall, and they had retired to their various homes. I was in my room, all dressed, waiting for mid-night to come. It was important that I see the witch goddess again.

Since Aurora's death has been confirmed, it would only be wise for me to use this opportunity to possess what I've always wanted.

I glanced at my table clock; it was just a few minutes past nine, and I needed something to keep me awake.

I agreed to the thoughts that flung in my head as I rang the servant bell.

A guard quickly rushed in as he bowed before me.

"You called." He paused. "My Alpha."

I watched the guard for some moments as I recognized the voice.

"Raise your head up!" I instructed.

He was reluctant at first, but slowly raised his head to face me. I let out a resounding laughter as I saw humiliations written on his face.

"Roman, is that you?" I laughed again.

Roman and I were best friends during our childhood and even when we became rouge wolves. We had each other's backs until Aurora's proposal came in.

"Yes, I did. Get me an omega for the night, the prettiest of them all."

The omega's of our park were known to be beautiful and curvy, but beauty had nothing compared to being a warewolf, so they were left with no option but to live in the barn and be treated as slaves.

"Alpha, do you have any preference?" Roman asked, still bowing his head.

"You fool! Didn't you hear me when I said you should bring the prettiest of them?" I yelled at him.

"Apologies, my Alpha; I would do as you say." He bowed and left.

I laid on my bed, feeling like the king that I am.

Romans POV

I walked out of the park and headed to the barn as I tried to act strong. Alfred was like my brother, even when we were banished from the pack and became rouges.

But everything changed when he started dating Aurora, the late Alpha's daughter. He felt like a king in the pack and cut off all the tiles with us.

Everything became worse when Aurora offered her ticket to him. I was desperately in need of a job to provide for my dying mother, and he offered to make me a guard in the pack, not even a soldier.

I was left with no option but to accept his offer as long as I got paid for it.

I stood by the barn gate and observed. There were lots of beautiful girls around, since there were more females in the Moom West Pack.

I observed a young girl struggling with a keg of water. She found it difficult to lift as I walked towards her and offered to help her.

"You need help?" I asked politely.

"No, thank you." She responded and continued what she was doing.

"But you do to me." I said, trying to convince her to accept my offer.

"And why do you care? Aren't you a guard of the pack? Isn't it your duty to enforce labor on us? So why do you care all of a sudden?"

"No, you're mistaken. We don't enforce labor on you, but send the message across to you and carry out supervision." I corrected her.

"Whatever! Well, I need to fill in the empty drums with this keg," she said as I helped her lift the keg on her head.

"What will you be doing after here?" I asked as we walked down the barn.

"Uhm, do some animal jobs to earn extra coins."

"Minal job? like, exactly?" I desperately asked.

"I'm an omega, so what do you think I call minal jobs? cleaning the fishpond, clearing grasses, and so on," she said, swaying her hands.

"What if I offer you a bigger job?" I cleared my throat.

"A bigger job? and what is that?" She asked with so much interest.

"I don't know why I should be saying this, and I apologize if you get offended in the end."

"Please stop keeping in suspense and spil; I promise not to get mad, and besides, what can an Omega like me do to you?" She assured me.

"Okay, if you insist. Would you agree to spend a night with the Alpha?" I asked, waiting to see her reaction.

"The Alpha? You mean Alfred?" She inquired in shock.

"Yes, Alpha Alfred."

"What is the pay?" She blurted out.

"Eighty shillings of coins."

"That's a whole lot. It can cover my bills for a whole week and even more. I'm in," she giggled.

"Well, that's a relief for me. I can stop searching now."

"I'm sorry for the way I spoke to you earlier, and please, whenever something like this comes up, don't hesitate to let me know." She pleaded.

"Sure, I think you should get prepared; the Alpha hates waiting," I said, helping her lift the keg from her head.

"I have to finish my duty before midnight, or else the barn captain will punish me tomorrow."

"How about I talk to him? I'm sure he'll let it slide."

"Pls don't; whatever I earn, he'll take 60 percent, and that's a loss for me." She frowned.

"It's really hard for you guys here; I'll help you so we can leave on time, and yeah, you really need a good shower."

"You shouldn't tell me that; I'm spending the night with the Alpha, who doesn't need a good shower." She whispered, chuckling.

I secretly helped her fill the drums and waited for her by the corner of the barn to get dressed.

She wore a red linen dress that clung to her body and complemented her skin as we sneaked out of the barn and headed towards the pack house.

"Are you okay?" I asked her as we got close to Alfred's room.

"Yes, I am." She whispered as I opened the door and gave her a sign to go in.
