Summer shot her a sharp glare.
"You always acted so pure, righteous, and honest in front of Gideon," Danica went on sharply. "But clearly, you are nothing like the image you showed. The other night, you were having dinner with one man. I assumed he was your boyfriend, the one you were happily raising your daughter with. And now here you are, showing up with a completely different man."
She let her gaze sweep over Summer mockingly. "You are quite talented at hooking men, aren't you? The moment you spot someone younger and richer, you toss aside the last one—just like you did before. You betrayed Gideon the second you grew bored and chased after a new plaything. Absolutely shameless."
Summer wanted nothing more than to slap her, but she refused to create a scene. She forced a smile, cold and brittle.
