Chapter 10 - Still Drawn

Chapter 10

Xandon's POV

"Catherine!"

I ran to where her body laid in the muddy floor, and lifted her up. Her hair was already sticky and beginning to glue to her forehead, as her hands fell freely beside her.

I hastened up my steps going back to the water fort. The cold and icy water was like like needles on my skin, as I carried her into the water and began putting her underneath.

I rose her back up, and by this time, her hair and face were cleaned off. I ran my fingers through her hair, looking at her soft features that turned into a frown, as she slowly opened her eyes.

"Ca–"

Without another thought, she flew on my body, her hand around my neck, as her face rested on in the crook of my neck, and I began hearing little sobs.

"Do you know how much I hate you right now?" My shoulders locked. My hands froze in hair, as I tried to settle my breath.

She pulled me in impossibly closer, and began digging her nails into my shoulder as she held on the hem of my shirt.

My eyes fluttered at how impossibly close she wanted me. It felt like the hug I'd be waiting for–the permission that I needed to get closer to her, and without another thought, I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her in.

The sound of the water and the smell of mist felt like a calm on my skin and slowly, I began to feel my shoulders settle, and my breath settled as I buried my face in her neck too.

Fuck.

Every smell of chocolate from her neck went straight to my head like I was taking in some drug and I began leaning in, rubbing my face against her neck, slow and filling.

"Can you not try this type of joke again? You had me scared, Landon"

Wait, what?

I stopped moving,as I slowly detached my face from her neck. Her arms still stayed on my neck but it was loose, as she too, detached her face from my neck.

Her eyes widened, as she shook her head and attempted to go back, but I held her still. Our eyes felt like fire against each other, but we couldn't look away.

"Wh–where is Landon?" I broke it first.

I lowered my head to avoid her piercing gaze, and I looking anywhere but her face. "I–He's home".

I took a deep breath in, as my voice didn't even go above a whisper.

"How–" I slowly lifted my eyes and met her fiery ones. "How is that possible? He was here with me few minutes ago"

I felt my breath getting heavy with each passing second my eyes rested on her face.

My brain barely registered her voice, so I kept quiet and surprisingly, she didn't speak.

"Cath–"

"No. I'm leaving"

She began walking out of the water, and my brain began searching for ways to make her stay. It'll be a jerk thing to do if I dismiss the issue we have, but right now, I really want her to stay.

"You can't leave here. Remember how we met?" I could already see her roll her eyes–even without her looking at me, as the sounds of her groaning filled the air.

"Are you fucking serious? We are leaving together"

I smirked and got out of the water too, but I didn't move. I stood there with my hands in my pocket and my eyebrows quirked at her.

Her eyes slowly went into silts, as her eyes focused on my every move.

One step back, had her eyes wide and twitching, saying that she knew what I was planning on doing.

"Don't. You. Dare!" I saw the plead in her eyes, bit her voice–

"Darling, you need to plead, not command, you know" Threw steps back.

Her eyes lit up as her feet involuntarily began walking towards me. I saw her bit down on her lip, and I had to close my eyes to get the image out.

"Xandon, I'm telling you–don't you dare" Two steps back again.

I saw her release a breath through her mouth, as I felt the trees begin to envelope me.

Her chest began heaving up as tears pooled up in her eyes. "Fine, fine. Please, don't go"

Eyes pleading, voice low and pleading, tears about to drop, seeing her like this was perfect.

I had a thing about her eyes going from fury to a little kitty. Each time I dug my nails in her hand, she had this fury look in her eyes, but slowly, it usually changes to a little kitty.

It was my thing with her, and it had me insane.

"Come" I stopped walking and began watching her walk towards me. Her thighs on display as her wet shirt gave an outline of her medium breast, and her eyes began looking at wet as her shirt.

"You're horrible" The only word she said when she finally stood in front of me, but her eyes was still like a little kitty–lost and scared, looking almost desperate.

"Good. We need to talk" I smirked as blood drained from her face. Another thing I like about her was how quick she understood me, but this also was what I feared most.

"Fine. But just to let you know, you are an–"

I didn't wait for the words to be complete, before I smashed my lips against hers. That day came flooding in, but this time it was different, this time, she kissed me back.

I put my hand against the back of her neck to pull her in, as my other hand went to her waist and laid her back against the trees.

"Xan–" She breathed out, her hand holding the one I had on her face and neck, while our eyes stayed connected.

"Catherine, I–"

My breath became and so did hers. It felt like my skin was burning without being close to her and I think she felt the same, as she pulled me in and kissed me.

Unlike the first one, this one was hungry and it felt like we were finally saying everything that we couldn't find words to speak.

My hands held her up, making her legs wrap around my waist, as I dug my nails in her thighs.

I broke the kiss, and slowly began nibbling on her neck. Muffled groans fell from her lips, as she tilted her neck and gave me more access.

The only sounds that was heard in the forest was rustling of leaves, the faint sound of water, her sweet, addictive sound that already had me excited and the sound of footsteps.

Footsteps?

My brain couldn't assimilate anything, as Catherine's fingers went to my hair and pulled me closer to her.

"Catherine?"

I knew the voice cut through her mind, as I felt a little resistance and I lifted my head to see her eyes–heavy with arousal and half-lidded, but slowly it changed to eyes of someone that had seen a ghost.

Her eyes glanced back at me, and our position, and she pushed me away, not minding if she would land on her feet or not.

Slowly we both turned to look at the owner of the surprised and shock voice.

"Elisa?"

"Landon"

We both stared at the people that stood before us. I felt my skin burn, as I watched the smirk of Landon turn into a smug grin.

And it had me wondering what his deal was with Catherine.
