Chapter 7 - Chapter 11-12: Bloody Battle on the Long Street

After leaving the hospital, Guo Feiyu and Zhang Ya had lunch at a nearby restaurant before returning to school. As Guo Feiyu walked across the campus, he noticed students pointing at him and whispering amongst themselves. He stopped to carefully inspect his clothes but found nothing unusual.

Seeing his puzzled look, Zhang Ya couldn't help but laugh. "Stop looking, there's nothing special on you. But your feat of beating up Li Siyuan has spread throughout No. 1 High. You're now the idol of all the male students."

"Oh? So my image among the students is quite good then," Guo Feiyu said narcissistically.

"Pfft, a little praise and you get a swelled head," Zhang Ya retorted, rolling her eyes at him.

Student A, munching on a hamburger freshly bought from KFC, stared dumbly at Guo Feiyu not far away. He wiped his sauce-covered mouth and said to Student B, "Look, my idol! My admiration for him is like a mighty river, flowing endlessly—"

Before he could finish, Student B kicked him. "Shut up, that's so cliché. My admiration for him is like the Yellow River flooding, unstoppable once it starts."

Student A was already crouched on the ground, vomiting violently, expelling the half-eaten hamburger.

Guo Feiyu walked Zhang Ya to the classroom door and said, "Ya'er, you go in. I have things to do this afternoon, I can't accompany you to class."

"You always have so many things. Remember to pick me up tonight," Zhang Ya said, pouting with a hint of grievance.

"After evening self-study, your husband will pick you up, and we'll go out for a late-night snack together," Guo Feiyu said, all smiles.

After speaking, Guo Feiyu winked at Zhang Ya, then suddenly lowered his head and kissed her adorable, alluring lips. Zhang Ya shuddered, her soft body going limp as she collapsed into Guo Feiyu's embrace. One hand instinctively reached for the soft spot on his waist.

"Ah! Ya'er, you pinched that same spot again! Can you pick a different place next time?" Guo Feiyu leaped backward, putting several steps between them. He clutched the repeatedly abused soft flesh, his face a mask of pain.

Zhang Ya ignored him, her face red as she ran into the classroom.

In the afternoon, Guo Feiyu drove to the headquarters of the Feiyu Group. Seeing his superior arrive, Cao Hu hurriedly vacated the swivel chair in the center of the office and stood respectfully by Guo Feiyu's side.

"How is the company lately?" Guo Feiyu asked casually.

"The company's development is better than expected. We've opened several new five-star business clubs and over a dozen large entertainment venues in the provinces surrounding G Province. The Feiyu Group's influence in these surrounding provinces has also increased significantly. The Feiyu Gang has subsequently established branches in those provinces. Once Zhang Qiang finishes training that batch of men, we'll be able to completely unify the gangs in these provinces," Cao Hu reported respectfully.

Guo Feiyu glanced at this reasonably capable assistant and said, "I'm giving you one year to expand the Feiyu Group's influence throughout the Northern region. The Feiyu Gang must also dominate the entire Northern underworld within this year. But do not expand southward. With our current strength, we can't contend with the Green Gang entrenched in the South in the short term."

The Green Gang, an organization nearly eighty years old, was currently the leader of the underworld in China, with countless smaller gangs submitting to it. Its influence spanned the entire South. Guo Feiyu sighed. Perhaps in a year, he would have to confront this underworld titan head-on. Who would emerge victorious then was still unknown.

"You know about the singing diva Lin Rui holding a concert in our H City soon, right?" Guo Feiyu asked, leaning back in the chair and closing his eyes.

"Yes, our Feiyu Group is one of the sponsors for this concert," Cao Hu replied while pouring tea for Guo Feiyu.

"Then get me a few tickets for the concert. I want to go with Zhang Ya," Guo Feiyu said.

"Chairman, that's a simple matter. Zhang Qiang and the others are busy training those two hundred men these days. Should I assign some more people to protect you, Chairman?" Cao Hu asked softly, bending slightly.

"No need. Your subordinates can't even protect themselves. But I appreciate the sentiment," Guo Feiyu said, standing up and patting Cao Hu's shoulder with a smile.

After learning about the company's recent situation, which he found satisfactory, Guo Feiyu chatted with Cao Hu for a while before leaving the Feiyu Group.

---

In the chairman's office of Juhua Real Estate Group, Li Haitao was raging, cursing at his subordinates. "You useless fools! The Feiyu Gang is almost driving our Iron Wolf Gang out of H City, and none of you have anything useful to say!"

"Boss, the Feiyu Gang recently found a powerful backer. Their influence is unusually strong," one man ventured softly, slightly raising his head.

"Oh, right, Boss, the mastermind behind the Feiyu Gang seems to be named Guo Feiyu," another added quietly.

Hearing the name 'Guo Feiyu', Li Haitao went berserk like a mad bull. He grabbed the computer monitor from his desk and smashed it on the floor, roaring, "That little bastard! I can't stand you any longer! I'm going to fucking destroy you!"

After leaning on the desk to catch his breath, Li Haitao pointed at the men in the office and snarled, "You, send people to keep a close watch on that kid. Seize any opportunity to take him out. I've heard he's very skilled, so make sure you prepare enough men."

"Boss, don't worry. There won't be any problems this time," one subordinate said, wiping cold sweat from his forehead and shrinking his neck.

"Get out! Don't screw this up, or I'll skin you alive!" Li Haitao said viciously.

At 9:30 PM, Guo Feiyu drove to the school to pick up Zhang Ya. After collecting her, he drove towards H City's most famous snack street.

Guo Feiyu parked the car at the entrance of the snack street and walked in with his arm around Zhang Ya. The street was lined with food stalls, each doing a booming business. The combined sounds of vendors hawking their wares and the general clamor created a lively atmosphere. Zhang Ya pulled Guo Feiyu to a stop in front of a stall selling fried stinky tofu.

"Feiyu, this is really delicious. Let's sit here and have some," Zhang Ya said, licking her lips as she looked at the puffy, fried tofu.

"Alright, I'll try this fried stinky tofu today too," Guo Feiyu said with a smile.

The two ordered a few pieces of fried stinky tofu and sat at the open-air stall, eating with relish.

Suddenly, countless people surged into both ends of the snack street. Some held machetes, others iron bars. Pedestrians and people eating at the stalls quickly scrambled out of the way.

Seeing these people heading straight for him, a cold light flashed in Guo Feiyu's dark eyes. He leaned close to Zhang Ya's ear and said, "No matter what happens later, you must stay right behind me."

Four to five hundred people surrounded the snack stall where Guo Feiyu was. The stinky tofu vendor had long since disappeared. A burly man with a fierce expression, holding a machete, stepped forward. Pointing the knife at Guo Feiyu, he snarled, "Kid, our boss wants your—"

Before he could finish his sentence, Guo Feiyu was already standing in front of him. A single chopstick was embedded in his chest. His eyes widened as he stared at Guo Feiyu, the flesh on his face twitching uncontrollably.

Guo Feiyu narrowed his eyes, looking at him coldly. "I hate it most when people point knives at me. You're no exception." With that, Guo Feiyu slammed the protruding half of the chopstick completely into the man's chest.

A agonized scream echoed through the entire street. "Chop this kid to death!" The Iron Wolf Gang thugs surged towards Guo Feiyu like madmen. Guo Feiyu kept one hand tightly holding Zhang Ya's, while his other hand lifted the man he had just killed with the chopstick and hurled him at the oncoming crowd. With a loud *thud*, a group of them fell. An iron bar whistled through the air towards Guo Feiyu's head. Guo Feiyu raised his hand and caught the rapidly descending bar. With a powerful swing of his arm, the iron bar, along with the man holding it, flew into the crowd, knocking down another swath of Iron Wolf Gang members.

Guo Feiyu pulled Zhang Ya back next to a street lamp. Facing so many Iron Wolf Gang thugs, Guo Feiyu showed not a trace of fear. His only concern was Zhang Ya behind him.

Zhang Ya pressed tightly against Guo Feiyu's back and whispered, "Feiyu, don't worry about me. You can definitely break out alone. We can't both die here."

Guo Feiyu's icy gaze fixed on the slowly advancing Iron Wolf Gang thugs. "Either we both walk out of this street today, or we both die here. Abandoning you is something Guo Feiyu cannot do."

Chapter 12: Bloody Battle on the Long Street (Part 2)

Guo Feiyu's hand holding Zhang Ya's was sweating. He calculated silently. He had originally intended to find an opportunity to call Zhang Qiang or Cao Hu, but given the current situation, the Iron Wolf Gang wouldn't give him that chance. Only two paths lay before him: first, fight his way out with Zhang Ya; second, hold out until the police arrived. When the police would arrive was unknown. It seemed his only option was to fight his way out with Zhang Ya. Guo Feiyu hardened his heart. His sharp gaze swept over the Iron Wolf Gang members. *Since you don't value your own lives, don't blame me for being merciless.*

The Iron Wolf Gang thugs closing in on Guo Feiyu swung their machetes at him. Guo Feiyu kicked out at one thug's wrist. With a *crack*, the wrist hung limply, and the machete flew into the air. Four other thugs nearby simultaneously swung their blades down. Releasing Zhang Ya's hand, Guo Feiyu leaped up, caught the machete falling from mid-air, twisted his body horizontally in the air, and swept the blade across the necks of the four men. Before their blades could complete their downward arc, they felt a cold sensation on their necks. Four streams of blood sprayed out, and their bodies crumpled to the ground. Seeing this bloody spectacle, the thugs surrounding Guo Feiyu grew even more frenzied, roaring as they charged forward.

Guo Feiyu raised his machete and hacked at the oncoming men. With each swing, one fell. As one fell, another from behind took his place. Over thirty Iron Wolf Gang members had already been cut down. Watching the endless tide of attackers, Guo Feiyu let out a furious roar. His ghostly figure flickered incessantly around Zhang Ya. No one could get close to her, and no one could injure Guo Feiyu. Agonized cries rang out continuously. Iron Wolf Gang thugs kept falling. The ground was stained red with blood. On the crimson ground lay no fewer than thirty corpses and over a hundred injured thugs. The killing intent emanating from Guo Feiyu intimidated everyone around him. No one dared charge forward anymore; fear filled every eye.

Holding Zhang Ya's hand, Guo Feiyu slowly walked towards the street entrance. With every step Guo Feiyu took forward, the Iron Wolf Gang thugs took a step back. One of the Iron Wolf Gang leaders shouted, "Dammit! I don't believe so many of us can't chop you to death! Everyone, charge!" In the instant the Iron Wolf Gang members prepared to surge forward, Guo Feiyu, holding Zhang Ya, had already carved a path of blood. No one could hinder Guo Feiyu's advance. The badly notched machete in his hand swung relentlessly. Those blocking his path fell continuously. Guo Feiyu felt something wet and sticky on his body—he didn't know if it was his own sweat or blood soaking through his clothes.

Everyone values their own life. The Iron Wolf Gang thugs were human too. They were fierce, but fierceness and recklessness with life are two entirely different realms. These thugs began to move aside, clearing a path for Guo Feiyu.

Zhang Ya followed closely behind Guo Feiyu. Her mind had gone blank. As long as the one she loved was by her side, life or death didn't matter. The Iron Wolf Gang thugs, afraid to charge Guo Feiyu directly, turned their attention to Zhang Ya. One thug swung an iron bar at the center of Zhang Ya's back. Guo Feiyu turned and kicked him, sending him flying. The moment Guo Feiyu turned, the retreating thugs gritted their teeth and swung their blades at Zhang Ya. Zhang Ya instinctively dodged backward, but she was a fraction too slow. A blade sliced open a gash on her shoulder. Hearing Zhang Ya's muffled grunt of pain, Guo Feiyu's heart clenched. He turned his head and saw the blood continuously flowing from her shoulder. His eyes turned bloodshot. Ignoring two blades that slashed across his back, he reached out and pulled Zhang Ya into his embrace, saying softly, "Ya'er, even if I die, I won't let you get hurt again." Guo Feiyu bent down, hoisted Zhang Ya onto his shoulder, supported her body with one hand, gripped the badly notched machete with the other, and continued walking towards the street entrance.

Seeing Guo Feiyu injured, the Iron Wolf Gang thugs thought they saw an opportunity and swarmed him all at once. Guo Feiyu, carrying Zhang Ya on his shoulder, charged into the crowd. The notched machete flew up and down. Blood continuously splattered onto Guo Feiyu's face. He was like Death himself emerged from hell, relentlessly harvesting lives. After an indeterminable amount of time, Guo Feiyu, covered in blood and carrying Zhang Ya, finally walked out of the street entrance. No one blocked him anymore, and no one pursued from behind. He turned around and saw the remaining Iron Wolf Gang members staring at him dumbfounded. Guo Feiyu roared at them, "What are you staring at? Come on, chop me!"

Hearing his roar, the remaining Iron Wolf Gang thugs threw their machetes to the ground and fled frantically towards the other end of the street. Not a single person was left standing on the street.

Guo Feiyu threw away the machete, now devoid of its edge, and carefully lowered Zhang Ya from his shoulder. A dense crowd had gathered around the street entrance, watching Guo Feiyu and Zhang Ya from a distance. Countless police cars sped towards the entrance. Over a hundred armed police and SWAT officers surrounded Guo Feiyu and Zhang Ya.

Police Chief He Hui walked through the crowd. Seeing Guo Feiyu covered in blood, he was shocked and asked in a trembling voice, "Young Master Guo, are you alright?"

"I'm not dead," Guo Feiyu replied coldly. Looking at these belatedly arriving police, he struggled to contain the fury in his heart as he glanced at He Hui.

"What are you all standing around for? Get in there and arrest the perpetrators!" He Hui loudly scolded the surrounding officers. Internally, however, he was in turmoil, frequently wiping the cold sweat from his forehead. He wasn't worried about how many people had died inside; he was worried about his own career. An attempt on Guo Feiyu's life was, in his mind, a catastrophic event. If Guo Feiyu was dissatisfied with him, his tenure as chief would be over. Watching Guo Feiyu's阴沉 face made his heart race with anxiety.

The police officers who rushed into the usually bustling snack street were stunned by the bloody scene. Several officers bent over and vomited, expelling partially digested food mixed with stomach acid. Half the street was littered with severed limbs and body parts. Those not yet dead lay on the ground, moaning. Blood still flowed from the bodies of the deceased. Every officer on the scene felt their scalps prickle. A chill rose from the depths of their hearts, spreading throughout their bodies. They stood frozen, unsure what to do. "Quick! Notify the hospital to send ambulances!" one relatively clear-headed officer shouted.

Innumerable ambulances sped through the streets of H City towards one location.

---

Guo Feiyu watched a medical worker bandage Zhang Ya's wound and said to her with infinite tenderness, "Ya'er, does it hurt? It's all my fault for letting you get hurt."

"Husband, I'm fine. It's just a scratch," Zhang Ya whispered.

Guo Feiyu turned to He Hui, who was standing respectfully nearby, and asked, "Can we leave now?"

He Hui nodded obsequiously, his face full of smiles. "Yes, yes, of course. Young Master Guo is the victim. You can leave after giving a statement."

After providing his statement, Guo Feiyu drove away.

A police officer beside He Hui asked, puzzled, "Chief, you're just letting him go like that?"

He Hui looked at the officer and said sternly, "If you don't understand, don't ask. Mind your own business."

---

When Cao Hu learned that Guo Feiyu and Zhang Ya had been ambushed by the Iron Wolf Gang, he was nearly scared unconscious. He immediately gathered six to seven hundred Feiyu Gang members and prepared to assault the Iron Wolf Gang's headquarters, but was stopped by a single phone call from Guo Feiyu.

---

Li Haitao held the phone on his desk, leaning back in his chair expressionlessly. Out of over five hundred men, more than three hundred were dead or injured. He couldn't comprehend just how powerful Guo Feiyu was. His usual arrogance was gone, replaced by a thread of fear. A subordinate rushed into the office in a panic, gasping for breath. "B-Boss! It's bad! The police have surrounded our company! There are also many armed police and SWAT!"

The news Li Haitao received throughout the night, while waiting for good news, kept getting worse. He casually threw the phone onto the desk and lit a cigarette with a trembling hand. Before he could even put it to his lips, several SWAT officers kicked the door open and charged in, their guns aimed at him. Staring at the dark muzzles pointed his way, Li Haitao slumped weakly into his chair and said resentfully, "My brother is the mayor! How dare you arrest me!"

"Your brother can't even save himself now. He has no time to worry about you," He Hui's voice came from outside.

He Hui walked in, glanced dismissively at Li Haitao瘫 in the chair, and said sternly, "Cuff him and take him away."
