They all thought to go to the castle.
Dani thought to use her divine levitation spell and the rest of the mages can use the spells which could help them to travel without carriages and horses.
The ones left were the knights.
Casper told them,
"I and krisner would go along with lady dani."
I know the rest of you are tired but could you please go and check on the citizens and report to us.
Rodriguez and your subordinate can go to the castle before all us and check for the paths, if you find any unusuality, come back to report to me.
Dani, can you buff both of us with your speed spell, so that we could match up with your speed."
Sure, "O goddess Lunaris, bless these two individuals with the ability of speed so that they can match the speed of your devotee"
The light of goddess lunaris shone upon them granting them the ability.
They all headed to the castle.
Rodriguez and his subordinate was ahead of them all.
He noticed something peculiar, all the knights guarding the city seemed to be missing, there was no one present.
They quickly headed to check the castle, the guards and knights presiding over the castle were nowhere to be seen.
What was all this, a sign of chaos, they thought.
If they stepped inside the castle, would they find something valuable or would it lead to their doom.
Nothing could be said.
They went inside the castle and…..
Dani, Casper , Sarah,Rachel, Krisner and the rest of the mages reached half the route.
The two curse magicians and two imperial loyalist magicians halted saying that they had to go and meet their masters.
"Once we reach the central plaza let us split then."
Dani was worried, Rodriguez and everyone else did not come back with any reports.
What could this be implying? She thought to herself.
Just in case something happens..
"Everyone stay on alert till the time we reach the castle and remain together at all times."
Casper then asked Dani, because he was thinking the same thing.
"Dani, are you suspecting something ?"
"Yes, Casper even if everyone was aware that a war is happening, it is too silent here in Vasta for not suspecting anything, you think the too right.?
"Yes, Dani I was thinking the same, I hope everyone is alright."
Melania, I want to meet you for the last time, please be there.
Casper couldn't think about anything except for Melania.
They reached the central plaza where they were supposed to split.
The interior of the city is too silent, where could everyone be.
They were coming across such a phenomenon they never experienced before, something never heard of or seen anywhere.
They hurried to the castle and noticed the same thing the knights and guards were missing, no one was guarding the castle.
They opened the entry gate of the castle.
And hurried inside to check for the people inside the castle.
"Lady Dani, you have returned so soon, I thought it will take time."
A voice similar to that of Danver was heard but when she turned back no one was there.
"Casper did you hear Danver's voice?"
"No Dani, if Danver was here he would have hurried over to see us."
Was it just a hallucination or something else is cooking.
They reached the garden, the same garden where the coronation ceremony was held and the same place where Melania was killed.
They tried to move past the garden but wind blew stronger than they could resist.
Even Casper and Dani were unable to move forward.
"What is all this lady dani?"
A clueless Sarah asked Dani.
"Everyone get ready, an enemy far stronger than the one we fought in the great war has appeared."
The skies, It became darker.
Ironically a person with small stature approached them, a similar silhouette to someone they knew
"Danver...is that you?"
Sarah asked in an alarming voice.
"Lady Dani when you left , a catastrophe soon hit us.
I, couldn't see Sophia anywhere and the people inside the castle they….. everyone…. disappeared.
I ran out of the castle to save my life."
Words weren't coming out of his mouth, he looked scared and worried.
But…..something did not make sense….
Dani noticed it too….
"You…you are not Danver, who are you ?"
"What are you saying lady dani, I am Danver."
"You, cannot be Danver, I had instructed both of you together and given the responsibility of looking after the castle, so it is impossible you did not find Sophia inside in the castle. As far as I know, whatever happens she wont leave the job assigned to her and disappear somewhere."
Everyone present there was shocked to notice this as it made sense.
"And lastly, what is the catastrophe you are talking about, can u describe it in detail, DANVER?"
"That…that was…."
He fumbled and hesitated ….so was Dani thinking in the right direction?
"You cannot answer right, yes you can't because …
YOU ARE THE CATASTROPHE….."
What….Danver is the catastrophe….but how ….he is standing in front of us..and is normal….so how can he…
Everyone standing there had the same thought…..

Casper jumped forward with his sword, he couldn't listen anyone talking shit about Melania…
But the real game begins now….
He with the flick of a finger parried the surprise attack without getting flustered
And it was not anyone, it was the Lord Commander of Memoria, Casper….And the enemy felt like a giant in that petite body….
The result of this attack…Casper lost the stability of the foot and landed a bit far ,as though he was pushed away willingly.
"Do not interrupt me when I am speaking…
So where was I…..yes, you priest, you are coming in my way…
You are the next one I will send to hell."
"You, you think I am that easy, I will send you back to where you came from..
Everyone get in formation…
Rachel check on the condition of Casper…"
Everyone got in the formation…Krisner , Casper and Dani in the front
Sarah and Rachel behind…..

Casper rushed in once again with his sword, this time taking advantage of his height and his reach….
Krisner went from behind, the golden army were trained on who to strengthen themselves, a single golden army knight was capable of the strength of ten regular knights of Memoria, this attack would not fail
Casper too used his fast lighting like speed slash moves against the enemy
They were buffed by Dani with the speed ability increasing their momentum
And the enemy, no scratch on him, he was deflecting everything with the flick of his finger, despite his small stature he was taking on all attacks head on or you could say none of the attacks seemed to hit him
He exactly knew where the next attack would come from.
All their attacks failed….
Casper then tried what he was brilliant at, the synchronised attacks…
It had that fluidity in the strokes as the moon was going from one phase to another and the rigidity as the boulders were…
They both aimed at his centre, the chest…
And bullseye…that part was something the enemy did not think they could target…
It was going to hit, dani used her buffs again ….and there the edge of their swords was approaching him…it was going to hit him.. the buff helped him….
And yes, with this attack they could be change the whole game…
But….the small statured person, did a 360 degree spin….and went away as far as he could…
First time in the fight where he was the one who refrained from the attack…and went back few steps..
But to their surprise…he was something else..
Yes, he had seven horns on his head….he was a …
