Synopsis
In a world that devours the weak without mercy, Rao is born in the very heart of hell, where pain is law and death a familiar face. He never knew childhood nor safety; instead, he lived on the edge of the abyss, haunted by ghosts of the past and hunted by the fangs of the present. But at a still, crimson lake, a truth greater than any nightmare was revealed. From the shadows emerged a being not of this world, Silvoth, the Lord of Cursed Pacts. His offer was simple yet cruel: a power that could shatter mountains and burn kingdoms, in exchange for Rao becoming the instrument of hell’s vengeance. From that moment, there was no path back. Every step he takes ignites fear in the hearts of his enemies, and every breath draws him closer to confronting the entire world. This is not the story of a hero, but the tale of a man who will turn the earth into a battlefield and the sky into a curtain of flame, until he buries all who dared stand in his way.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

The Beginning:

A seventeen-year-old boy lived with his sister, who was the same age as him.

The boy had a handsome face, with crimson eyes and thick black hair.

The two of them lived alone in a small hut by the shore of a large lake.

One evening...

"Hey, Rao! Where were you today?"

"Why are you asking, Yara?"

"Hmph, you're always like this... You never want to talk and always keep things from me!!"

"It's fine. I was sitting on the cliff across from Lake Komos."

"Huh? That scary lake? And why did you go there?

...

Don't tell me you go there every day—that's why you disappear from morning till sunset, isn't it?"

Rao stayed silent...

Rao was a quiet boy, and his eyes always looked sad.

He had been like that ever since that incident...

The incident that shocked him and left him drowning in sorrow for years.

"Hey Rao, why can't you just forget about that incident?"

"Hah? Can you forget what those bastards did to our parents?"

"If you had to choose between living and forgetting the past, or remembering the past and living for revenge... you'd obviously choose the first one."

"But I'm not like you. I choose the second."

"I live to take revenge... to avenge what those monsters did to our parents."

"Humans wish to live happily upon the sorrow of others,

They do nothing but give orders,

And the weak obey because of their powerlessness."

"But there are also those whose greed and ambition took them to greater heights,

Succeeding at the cost of others' pain."

"In this world, you have to be corrupt to succeed...

That's why—I'll become the most corrupt of them all."

Yara shivered as chills ran down her spine.

She looked at him with fear and sorrow, tears streaming down her face.

She was heartbroken at the sight of her brother,

who no longer distinguished between good and evil, between right and wrong.

She rushed into the hut, screaming:

"You're not the brother I know anymore!!!"

Rao, to himself:

"She thinks good defeats evil...

That only happens in stories and legends.

But in reality, evil is what triumphs over good.

No matter... she'll understand, in time."

Rao entered the old hut.

And deep within the lake...

Something was glowing with a crimson light.

Its shape was unclear to the eye...

Then it faded.

To be continued...
