More than a thousand knights stretched across the open field with Spears, swords, axes, and shields.
She rest her sword on her shoulder and smiled.
"So… all of you against me?"
A knight stepped forward from the front rank.
"Don't underestimate us!"
Emma tilted her head.
"I already have."
The captain's face turned red.
"KILL HER!"
The knights rushed forward together, shaking the ground with every step.
Emma calmly watched them close the distance.
A knight swing his sword.
Emma leaned slightly to the side.
The blade missed her face by inches.
Another spear came from behind.
She bent backward, letting the spear fly over her.
Two more Knights attacked from opposite sides.
Emma spins once.
CLANG!
Her sword knocked both weapons away.
She stepped between them.
FLASH!
Five knights fall to the ground at the same time. Emma's sword cut through them in one fast swing. Their heads flew off. Blood sprayed high into the air. Arms still holding weapons dropped to the ground. The bodies fall in a heap, blood pouring from the open necks.
The men behind them stopped in shock.
"W-Where did she go?!"
"Behind you," Emma said.
"Behind you," Emma said.
A knight turned around and attack instantly with his spare.
Clang!
Emma blocked the spear with one hand, she twisted it and throw the knight into three others. They fall to the ground.
Emma dashed forward as she spin through the crowd like she was dancing.
CLANG!
CLASH!
PING!
Weapons broke apart as shields split in two. Knights were thrown across the battlefield.
A dozen archers raised their bows.
"Fire!"
Hundreds of arrows filled the sky.
Emma looked up.
"Advanced Armament-"
Black Haki covered her blade.
"Dance of the Ghost Maiden."
Emma vanished.
The arrows hit the ground and the dead bodies of the fallen knights.
She appeared in the middle of the knights. Her sword moved like bright silver light.
Clang!
Slash!
Weapons broke. Armor split open and blood spilled everywhere.
One of the knight's head flew off while another lost both his arms.
Knights flew through the air like they were hit by a storm.
She's everywhere!"
"No…"
"She's too fast!"
Emma appeared behind the archers before they could grab another arrow.
"Impossible..."
Emma smiled.
Her blade flashed through the air.
The archers fell one after another before anyone even understood what had happened.
Three knights attacked together. One swing his big sword. Another stabbed with his spear and the third tried to hit her from behind with an axe.
Emma closed her eyes.
For a short moment, everything went quiet.
She sidestepped the axe, then caught the spear with the side of her blade.
She twisted her wrist and the spear snapped.
She swings her sword with all her might.
The three knights flew backward. One lost his leg. Blood sprayed from the joint, the other had his throat cut open. The third knight head rolled across the ground.
The other soldiers stopped. They looked at emma with fear.
Emma pointed her sword at them.
"If this is all the King has… then you've already lost."
The knights got angry and charged at her once again. Hundreds of knights surrounded her from all sides.
Emma took a deep breath and slowly lowered her stance.
Black Haki began flowing from Emma's body, wrapping around her sword like it was alive.
The blade started to glow with a dark silver light.
A strange sound filled the air.
Cling...
Clang...
Cling...
Behind Emma, shadows began to appear.
Ghostly figures formed from her Haki, each one holding a sword. They moved slowly, like an army of fallen warriors answering their master's call.
The Knights Trembled with fear.
"What... is that? One of the muttered.
"The memories of every battle that I've ever fought.The pain,the courage and the final moments of those who fought before me..."
Emma rise her sword.
"All of it becomes my song."
The ghostly warriors behind her raised their blades.
Advanced Armament- Songs of the Dead.
Emma disappeared as she became a blur.
One by one the Knights fell to the ground.
A man raised his shield trying to protect himself but Emma's sword cut through it and his chest, blood sprayed out.
Another tried to grab her. She side stepped him and cut both his legs off. He screamed as he fall to the ground blood pumping from his knee joints.
Another swing at her. She ducked and drove her sword up through his chin and out the top of his head. When she pulled it free, his brain drop to the ground.
Noah looked at the fight and smiled.
"When did she become so gruesome."
A giant knight almost three times her size charged at her with a huge axe.
"I've got you now!"
Emma looked up calmly.
"No… you don't."
She dashed forward closing the distance between her and the knight. The knight swings his axe at her.
Clang!
Her sword cut the axe in half, then she chopped off his head.
The big body stood for a second, then crashed down hard to the ground. Blood running out from the neck.
The last group knights backed away.
"Monster…"
"She's a monster…"
Emma shook her head.
"You came here looking for a fight. So don't run now."
Emma rest her sword on her shoulder.
"Is that all?"
A captain slowly reached into his pocket. His hand trembled. He pulled out a small black bottle.
"We have no choice..."
The others stared at him then they nodded.
One by one...they removed black bottles from their pockets.
Emma frowned.
"What are you doing?"
All the Knights drank the black liquid. Suddenly one knight screamed out. Another dropped to his knees.
Dark veins spread across their bodies.
Their muscles expanded, their armor cracked apart. Their bones twisted with loud cracking sounds.Their eyes turned glowing crimson. Sharp claws burst from their hands.Fangs grew from their mouths. Black fur spread across their skin.
Roars shook the battlefield as the remaining knights transformed into savage beasts.
Emma slowly tightened her grip on her sword.
A small smile appeared on her face.
"The real battle begins."
