Chapter 48 - Chapter 48: The Film Research Club

"Oh? Alistair, what are you doing here? We were just looking for you."

The speaker was the four-eyed cuckold, Hajime Nishida, whom Alistair had encountered before. Standing beside him was a busty, clearly naive-looking ponytail beauty named Kanade Amakawa. She was the girl who was secretly in love with Hajime Nishida, and the feeling was mutual, yet neither of them knew it.

Alistair remembered that this Kanade Amakawa was directly conquered by the yellow-haired guy using considerable effort and technique, proving that she was internally just a lustful slut.

However, in Alistair's memory, that yellow-haired guy set his sights on this girl right before the summer vacation, which was likely the summer break at the end of this semester. So, there was no rush; he didn't have to worry about this piece of meat being eaten by someone else.

"What's up? Is there an event today?" Alistair asked casually, his hands in his pockets. He still had plenty of time left; there was no need to rush to scout. If there was an event, Alistair wouldn't mind passing the time.

"Um, I'm not really sure about today's event. We just came to tell you that our hobby group has been merged into the Film Research Club. We're all members of this club now. Although the activities aren't as free, we have funding, and more video tapes to watch." Hajime Nishida spoke with his neck slightly retracted. Combined with his naturally dull look, he gave off a weak, easily bullied impression.

The adjacent Kanade Amakawa stood silently behind Hajime Nishida.

"Tch, is that all?" Alistair thought it was something important. It was just this? Hearing the cuckold speak in such a way made him feel a burst of unwarranted anger.

How can such an idiot be liked by someone? Is it because he's a cuckold? Alistair recalled that Hajime Nishida had initially fled the scene, allowing the yellow-haired guy to succeed. Alistair figured the yellow-haired guy had probably just threatened him, and he didn't dare show up.

"Softie." Alistair spat the insult directly at Hajime Nishida, then turned and walked away, ignoring their reaction.

Hajime Nishida lowered his head, not daring to speak. He had clearly witnessed the entire process of how Alistair had grabbed that tough guy's head and slammed it into the urinal in the bathroom. The memory was still fresh.

"Are you okay, Nishida-kun?" Kanade Amakawa looked at Alistair's retreating back, then at the head-down Hajime Nishida, asking with concern. At the same time, she felt a surge of dislike for Alistair. He looks so handsome and well-behaved, but he's a delinquent.

"Ah, Amakawa-san, don't worry, I'm fine..." Hajime Nishida waved his hands, quickly assuring her that Alistair's words had no effect on him, yet he felt a bit dejected inside.

He really wanted to fight back, but considering Alistair's fighting power, ten of him wouldn't be a match. So, he decided to retreat and play the ostrich.

Thank goodness Kanade Amakawa is here. It's great to have the gentle and cute Kanade-chan! Hajime Nishida sighed internally.

...

The departing Alistair didn't care what the couple thought and headed toward Class G to find Mina.

"Hey, Kusa, how about we go borrow a camera from the club? I didn't realize the Film Research Club had cameras we could borrow. How about we go get one and play around?"

"Sounds good. We can go shoot some..."

A camera they can borrow? Film Research Club?

Alistair stopped. Wait a minute. I might be able to use that tonight. Could it be the Student Council Vice President's bar-fucking high-definition video?

Tsk tsk. Worth a try!

Alistair immediately turned around and followed the two students, intending to go to the Film Research Club with them.

The Film Research Club occupied a large area, with several classrooms: one for equipment, one for video tapes, and a screening room.

While it didn't have a dedicated indoor gym like the Baseball or Track clubs, it completely dominated other clubs in terms of space.

Although Sakura Public High School was just a high school, it was actually larger than some universities.

The area was originally planned as a central development zone, so the school was built to be grand and luxurious everywhere.

However, the policy changed, and the area became the city's periphery. Although there was no shortage of students, the student quality was mixed. The current semi-good, semi-bad state was relatively decent.

As a result, many classrooms and activity rooms in the various buildings were left vacant. Thus, many clubs, if they were well-developed, often had a considerable amount of space.

"Hmm~ Is this it?"

Alistair followed the two students all the way here. He watched them enter the room, paused at the door, looked at the "Film Research Club" sign, and instead of entering immediately, he looked around.

There didn't seem to be many clubs on this floor. The Manga Research Club and others were using empty rooms as club rooms at the back of the first floor of the teaching building.

Unlike this club, which indirectly possessed many activity rooms. They are empty anyway. Might as well use them, right?

There were quite a few clubs in the back buildings on this floor. Alistair had seen several when he came up, including the Galgame Club that Rina-senpai had complained about, which was on one of the floors of this building.

And the performance hall was on the first floor of this building. The Aikido Club's room was also on the first floor. Alistair hadn't gone upstairs before, so he didn't know what clubs were up there.

Creak.

Alistair pushed the door open and looked inside.

There were quite a few people in the activity room, and Alistair spotted several "acquaintances," such as the girl he'd seen sitting not far from Mina in her class.

She had a very good figure, with breasts much larger than girls her age and a recognizable beauty mark at the corner of her right eye.

However, she looked somewhat shy, sitting there spacing out. She only spoke a few words when others talked to her, and when they stopped, she returned to her daze, clearly looking uncomfortable in the setting.

In addition, there was the four-eyed Hajime Nishida and the naturally naive Kanade Amakawa, whose hidden attribute was a slut.

Alistair's arrival didn't cause much of a stir. Most people just glanced at him and returned to their conversations, as Alistair wasn't famous.

Alistair only had some notoriety in Classes G and H. Other students wouldn't deliberately publicize the fact that some guy in their class could casually crush them. So, in their eyes, Alistair was just a good-looking, skinny boy.

Alistair didn't mind and casually found a sofa to sit on.

This room wasn't particularly large; it was mainly divided into two parts. Near the door were several sofas. Based on the feel, these sofas were high-quality, not cheap finds.

Further in were shelves filled with many books and some video tapes. However, the club surely had more than this in reserve; this area was likely just for introductory materials.

Clap, clap, clap, clap

A burst of applause rang out. Everyone stopped talking and looked at the person clapping.

It was a tall, thin boy with choppy hair and some signs of physical training. He looked a bit like the male protagonist of a hot-blooded manga, giving off a somewhat unreliable vibe.

Alistair looked at the others. Some were curious, some were perfunctory, and others pulled out their phones, ignoring him completely.

"Ahem, hello everyone. I am Kazuhiro Kimura, the president of the Film Research Club, from Class C of the second year. Most of you students must be first-year underclassmen, right? You're all nodding?

It seems most of the new members we've gathered today are first-years. The main purpose is for everyone to get to know each other.

Many upperclassmen have things to do, so they couldn't make it. I'll organize a few events in the next couple of days so the new members can meet the seniors and also explain how future activities will be carried out..."

Seeing Kazuhiro Kimura launching into a lengthy speech, Alistair figured he wouldn't finish anytime soon. Alistair wasn't interested in listening to him ramble and spoke up: "President Kimura, I heard the Film Research Club has photography equipment available for loan?"

"...Uh, yes, that's right. You can borrow it after registering. However, if there is any damage or if it gets broken, the borrower will be responsible for the full cost of replacement.

If this student needs to use it, I can have someone fetch it for you." Kazuhiro Kimura wasn't angry; instead, he explained this to Alistair. This was unexpected. Alistair had thought there might be another conflict, but this club president seemed to be a nice guy.

"Alright. Please continue." After Kazuhiro Kimura gave the order, Alistair sat back down, waiting for the person to bring the photography equipment.

After another round of the president's blah blah blah, the person brought a digital camera.

"Here you go, Morita-senpai." The person handed the digital camera to Alistair.

"Okay, thank you, senpai." Alistair took the digital camera and started fiddling with it.

Yes, Alistair used the name of that scapegoat, Yujiro Morita, again. After all, Alistair had no intention of returning it.

They process things by record and have never met me. Yujiro Morita borrowed this. What does that have to do with Alistair Vance?

Alistair opened the storage slot and found a memory card inside. Did it come with a memory card?

Alistair clicked on the contents and found a video inside. He immediately clicked on it...
