Watson watched them quietly.
Uncle Polk was laughing heartily, and Aunt Leah was looking at him with concern.
It was truly wonderful, his family in this world. Now, his previous resolve was even stronger!
He would become the guardian of his loved ones!
"What's wrong? You're not really hurt, are you?" Aunt Leah asked anxiously, seeing Watson remain silent.
"No, of course not! But, where did you and Uncle Polk go earlier?"
"We went to the supermarket to buy some provisions, and we happened to see you on the TV there ~ Otherwise, we wouldn't have known about your heroic performance! Hahahaha ~"
Leah watched the two of them talk, then turned and walked towards the kitchen: "I think you must be starving. Wait a moment, you'll have your favorite meal soon ~"
"Come on, our hero, let's chat."
Watson sat down next to Uncle Polk, already having some predictions in his mind: "What's wrong, Uncle Polk?"
"Hmm—Uncle knows you have some qualities that are different from ordinary people, and I also know you're a good kid!
But what I want to tell you is, no matter what abilities you possess, always, always avoid doing anything you'll regret! Uncle doesn't need to preach to you; just remember to follow your heart. It will tell you the answer that's best for you!" Uncle Polk finished speaking and then drank his coffee without another word.
Watson, on the other hand, was a little surprised. Although he had some predictions, he never expected Uncle Polk to say something like that to him!
"I will, Uncle Polk!"
As if hearing the firm conviction in his words, Polk smiled again: "Haha, alright! Come on, let's go to the shooting range and shoot a few rounds ~"
Twenty minutes later, Watson looked at the stationary target 15 meters away, then at Uncle Polk's stationary target beside it—and despairingly put down the AR15 in his hand—guns, well, they were just for looking. Shooting targets was impossible; he'd never shoot targets in his life. Perhaps only a melee mage, ah, no, a Zerg rush could sustain his life like this.
---Meanwhile, Coulson, who had returned to S.H.I.E.L.D., didn't have time to rest and quickly walked towards the interrogation room.
He reached the door of the interrogation room and asked the female agent responsible for monitoring: "How is he?"
"Sir, he has undergone a thorough examination to ensure there are no listening or tracking devices or other dangerous items on him. He's now been given a neutralizing agent and should wake up in about 3 minutes. The truth serum is on the interrogation table—"
Coulson looked at the female agent, whose face seemed a bit off, and asked: "Carly, what's wrong? You seem a little out of sorts?"
"I'm fine, sir! It's just that this man is wearing a blackened diaper!" With that, Agent Carly turned and walked out, leaving a bewildered Coulson.
What? A diaper?? Could it be Hydra's latest brainwashing method??
Shaking his head and no longer letting his mind wander, Coulson walked into the interrogation room, hoping this Hydra agent could bring him some good news!
"Your name."
"Edward Quinn."
"Your identity."
"The leader of the Wolf Pack gang, Wolf."
Hearing this, Coulson frowned. Memory implantation?
"Who do you work for?!"
Wolf's face suddenly became distorted, his eyes fanatic, as if he was struggling against something.
"Hail Hydra! This world will return to freedom! Everyone! Will evolve! The world will be liberated!"
This answer wasn't within the scope of his question, and Coulson felt his hairline recede even further.
"Who do you work for! Who are your other members! Specifically...!"
Wolf was about to open his mouth—
Suddenly! Everyone froze! Coulson's hairline,
and Wolf's fanaticism were all fixed in that moment! It was as if they had been solidified!
A black mist began to fill the room, emanating a chilling aura.
Somewhere near Wolf, a cracking sound suddenly appeared, and space was torn open!
"Found it at last~"
That's right, this skeleton, complete with special background effects, was—the Goddess of Death!
This Goddess of Death was not Thor's sister, who constantly wanted to be queen! She was true Death! One of the five cosmic entities that created the Marvel Prime Multiverse! She was the source, creator, and manipulator of all life souls in the Multiverse Marvel Universe! She was also the creator and master of all Hell Lords, Death Gods, and other representatives in Marvel! She was the very concept of Death itself!
"Let me see, what exactly is it that emits such a pure aura of death? I don't recall having a habit of misplacing things~~~"
She extended a bony finger, and the diaper on Wolf's body broke free from his pants, hovering before Death!
"---Is this---a piece of rag?"
With a flick of her bony finger, a pure black death energy detached from the Cloth of Calamity, pulsating in Death's hand.
---It can't merge with me?! Is it not from this universe--- After feeling the death energy in her hand for a while, she turned her head to look at the motionless Wolf. "Let me see your soul, why it possesses an object of death~"
Saying that, Death put away the ball of energy, and her bony hands gently cupped Wolf's head. A white soul was absorbed into Death's body.
"Hmm? Interesting~ I'll find you~ that interesting soul~"
As her words faded, the black mist symbolizing death slowly receded, and everything returned to peace.
It was as if nothing had happened.
"---The specific name!"
Coulson, who had just uttered this sentence, suddenly paused. Something wasn't right! Looking at the bowed head of Wolf, Coulson quickly rushed forward—! Dead!!
What in the world! Happened! Mutant invasion?! Or another super-powered individual?!
"Quick! Level one alert! Everyone, battle stations! Lock down and thoroughly search the entire building! No one in or out!! Get me the surveillance footage from here! Have the medical and technical departments re-examine him thoroughly!! Quickly!" Coulson, having reacted, quickly rushed out of the interrogation room! He issued a series of orders! Then he dialed Hawkeye's comms: "Clinton, the target is dead. The building search is up to you! Be careful, it might be a special ability user or a mutant!"
When Clinton learned that Wolf, whom he had risked his life to escort back, was dead, he couldn't believe his ears!
If this news reached the ears of the Security Council, who knew what kind of trouble would arise!
After issuing a series of orders, Coulson returned to the interrogation room to examine it more closely.
