Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 {Family}

As Katrina stepped out of the black luxury sedan, her gaze swept over the sprawling Fuji Manor estate with an air of detached curiosity. The intricate carvings on the ancient wooden gates, the meticulously manicured gardens, the sheer scale of it all—it was impressive, yes, but it didn't quite capture her attention in the way she might have expected.

She adjusted the strap of her simple backpack, her golden eyes catching sight of the woman pacing nervously near the entrance. Song Moo's elegant qipao fluttered in the humid Hong Kong breeze as she wrung her hands anxiously.

"Mom, she's here," Xing said, nudging his younger brother beside him.

Katrina stood in place as she saw the two couple both outstanding good looking for a long moment Katrina did not shutter a word. Her lips did not move not knowing what she will say or do her mind was calm as a clear lake.

When she saw the little seventeen year girl Katrina, who she'd kept dreaming about for days and nights behind her husband's back, she grabbed her son excitedly.

"Xing, the little girl over there is the younger sister that mom told you about."

"Huh!? Mom I have that annoying twin sister of mine," Xing complained and Zav smacked his son back of the head.

Her skin was fair, and her cheeks were flushed pink. The whites of her eyes were so pure that they stood out like pearls on black satin. Her black pupils were at once clear and enigmatic.

After taking a brief look at his sister, Xing slowly lowered his head. He did not react in any way.

On the other hand, Xu Wei was excited. As if she could not wait any longer, she approached Katrina with a large stride and grasped her hands.

All her motions were graceful, and time seemed to have been particularly lenient with her. She still retained her charm, and she now had an air of elegance about her.

Katrina could smell the faint daisy perfume coming from the woman's body. She was not used to having physical interaction with other people. As soon as her body turned stiff, the woman in front of her wrapped her into her embrace.

When she pulled Katrina into her arms and felt her warm body against hers, tears began to fill Song's eyes.

Meanwhile, she cried out.

"Kitty, mommy thought she had lost her chance to take care of you! I really didn't expect that you would return to my side in the end. Mommy is so happy right now. It's as if I'm dreaming! Mommy had been praying to God that you would have a smooth life. Perhaps God listened to my prayers, as you became an orphan again!"

Katrina was speechless. She wondered why Song Moo loved her so much.

Katrina patted her back gently.

"My darling daughter, I am your father Zav Fuji, this is my wife Song Moo, your eighth brother Xing same age as you. Welcome home darling."

Xing stepped forward and pointed at Katrina.

"Let me tell you I don't have a sister!" Xing said arrogantly and Song Moo smacked her son on the head.

"Oh."

"Xing has a twin sister who is in France on a photo shoot," Song King said.

At that moment a girl seventeen years old stepped forward.

"Oh my I lost track of time and I did not come out wnd welcome my sister right away I hope she won't mind would she?" The girl asked. Katrina raised her eyes slightly toward the sound of the voice and there she held an elegant and radiant figure descending gracefully from the stairs. A smile gracing her lips that seem to not reach her eyes. Though she was not born from Song Moo and Zav Fuji, she was the bloodline of the Moo Family. Her lips resembled the freshly unfurling petals of a peony. The way she walked and talked she looked like a girl who was raised by the wealthy family. Katrina could tell this girl Lulu Fuji was a green tea bitch.

"That won't be necessary," Katrina said.

"Stop pretending," Lulu said.

Katrina just blinked few times as she looked around but did not say anything.

"Mom, you and raised me because my parents passed away but now you have another adopted daughter do you not like me?" Lulu asked me innocently. Katrina just looked at her indifferent but she wanted to see how these parents handle it.

"Lulu, we love you and we also love and care about Katrina no matter what as the eldest you need to help your younger sister," Song Moo said as she held on Katrina.

Lulu's perfect smile faltered for a moment, her emerald eyes narrowing slightly as she processed Song Moo's words. She quickly recovered, her expression shifting back to one of practiced innocence.

"Of course, Mommy. I would never dream of being selfish," Lulu said sweetly, though there was an edge to her voice that only those who knew her well could detect.

She turned her attention to Katrina, her gaze appraising as she took in the younger girl's simple attire and casual posture. The contrast between them was deliberate—Lulu in her designer dress and perfectly styled hair versus Katrina in jeans and a loose Tshirt.

"You must be tired from your journey," Lulu continued, her tone dripping with false concern.

The moment Katrina stepped into her new bedroom, her golden eyes scanned the opulent space with an almost clinical detachment. The room was vast, easily the size of her entire childhood home, with floortoceiling windows overlooking the glittering Hong Kong skyline. A massive kingsized bed dominated the center of the room, its dark mahogany frame intricately carved with golden dragons that seemed to writhe in the soft light filtering through silk curtains.

To one side stood a desk crafted from polished rosewood, its surface gleaming under a crystal chandelier. Across from it stretched an endless walkin closet lined with custombuilt shelves and drawers, currently empty but waiting to be filled with designer labels.

The walkin closet alone was larger than most Hong Kong apartments, its walls lined with custombuilt shelves and drawers waiting to be filled. A plush white rug covered the floor, contrasting sharply with the dark hardwood that stretched across every other surface. The air smelled faintly of sandalwood and jasmine from an unseen diffuser.

As Katrina walked toward the bathroom, her footsteps echoed softly against the marble tiles. The space was more like a private spa, complete with a soaking tub big enough for two people and a glassenclosed shower that could fit half a dozen people comfortably. Golden fixtures gleamed under recessed lighting while fluffy white towels were neatly stacked on shelves carved from jade.

"Let me tell you this you don't belong here you no nothing about the wealth cycle," Lulu said and Katrina rolled her eyes as she closed the door.

How laughable of that sister doesn't know manners she is best friends with Princess Charlotte always spent half of life in the palace doesn't know manners? Even the Charlotte mother wanted to adopt her or take her as a goddaughter forget it she won't bother with her.

Katrina pulled out her phone and texted a number.

RSLQ: What a terrible advice you gave me give me back my 500,000 euros

Dark Gold: Ah boss don't be angry 😡

RSLQ: Angry 😡 I am angry 😤

Dark Gold: Ah please calm down please don't go and hack into my system computer I just fixed the beg you put it

RSLQ: Oh forget, I want my money 💴 within two hours if not I will make it, it takes six months to fix

In truth Katrina was ready for the family to be like the Su Family she was honestly shocked to see they weren't like that well aside from Lulu the rest were expecting as for Xing he was just a spoiled arrogant brat nothing much had no hate in his eyes.

Dark Gold: No Boss that was my painstakingly chosen secret technique please don't destroy it I will send it right now

Few moments Katrina saw the $500,000 euro. Katrina smiled.

RSLQ: Good 😊 now I am happy 😆

Dark Gold: Tell me how is that little white lotus in the family treating you I heard she was adopted when she was only eight years old but her family was no more she has Moo Family bloodline.

RSQL: Nothing much I can handle it. But she even show that she doesn't like me in front of everyone

Dark Gold: No way my research says she liked playing the victim act and scheming people
