That was the first and last statement he heard before the line went dead.
His face turned pale, and Serena suddenly had a bad feeling.
"What's wrong?" Serena asked, her heart hammering against her chest. Alexander sat up straight. He felt that something bad was about to happen.
"I don't know. She only asked me to save her." Cody replied, his mind still a mess.
Serena's eyes widened as she muttered under her breath. "Oyster."
"Who's that?" Alexander asked.
"I don't have time to explain, but Maya is in danger." She looked at both men. "We need to save her. We need to save my best friend." She pleaded, tears already pooling in her eyes.
Cody shot up to his feet, panting.
"Serena, try to call her. Alexander, I'd be enlisting your troops' help." He instructed, and Serena nodded amidst tears. "We should also involve the police... discreetly."
