Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: My son, Wang Teng, is worthy of a title!

Not long after, after breakfast, the four of them went to the study. Wang Chengkun took out six black pebbles and arranged them into a hexagonal awakening array on the ground. Then, he took out a crystal ball for measuring soul power from his storage soul tool.

"Teng'er, stand in the Martial Soul Awakening Array."

"Okay."

Immediately, Wang Teng stood in the awakening array.

"Close your eyes and feel it."

Wang Chengkun injected a stream of soul power into the awakening array on the ground. Instantly, a layer of golden light was released from the awakening array, forming a pale golden light screen that enveloped Wang Teng's body.

Countless golden light points floated out and entered his body. Wang Teng clearly felt a warm current entering his body, feeling warm and comfortable.

Then, he felt as if something was about to emerge from his hands. Opening his eyes, Wang Teng stared at his palms.

'It's here! This must be the sign of Martial Soul Awakening, right? What a wonderful feeling.' Suddenly , a martial soul appeared in each of his palms. Instantly, Wang Teng knew that he seemed to have awakened twin martial souls?

Since everyone present was family, Wang Teng didn't need to hide his abilities. Unexpectedly, Wang Teng learned the information about his two martial souls. The martial soul in his right palm was the Mystic Light Cross, and the martial soul in his left palm was the Flash Spirit Gloves.

The first martial soul, the Mystic Light Cross, was the same as his mother's martial soul, while the second martial soul, the Flash Spirit Gloves, should be inherited from his father's Mystic Iron Armor, but it had mutated.

"Twin martial souls?"

Wang Chengkun exclaimed in surprise.

"He actually awakened twin martial souls!"

Li Chan was also shocked that her son had actually awakened twin martial souls.

"What are twin martial souls?" Wang Chong asked curiously.

"It means you have two martial souls!" Hearing his younger brother's question, Wang Teng immediately explained.

After all, awakening twin martial souls is undeniably better than having only one, regardless of the amount of innate soul power. While his parents' martial souls weren't top-tier, their quality was still high. The fact that they could have twins meant that his second martial soul, the Flash Spirit Gloves, was also of high quality and hadn't undergone any adverse mutations.

Furthermore, Wang Teng could sense that his two martial souls shared the same attribute—light. His first martial soul, the Mystic Light Cross, was a support-type, while his second, the Flash Spirit Gloves, was a power-attack type. He just didn't know about his innate soul power.

"Teng'er, put your hand on the soul power crystal ball and check your innate soul power level!"

Wang Chengkun, recovering from his shock, said. After all, examples of twin martial souls were rare; there were only a handful of recorded cases in the Douluo Continent. Wang Teng also knew that having twin martial souls didn't necessarily mean better talent. It simply meant that the two martial souls were of similar quality, forming a symbiotic relationship.

If one's innate soul power is too low, even having an extra martial soul is useless. Immediately, Wang Teng placed his right hand on the soul power crystal ball.

Suddenly, the soul power crystal ball lit up, the light covering the vast majority of the surface, with only a small portion remaining unlit.

"Innate level 9 soul power!"

Seeing the light emanating from the soul power crystal ball, Wang Teng felt relieved. Innate level 9 soul power, coupled with twin martial souls, although the quality of the martial souls wouldn't reach the top tier, at least becoming a Title Douluo was a breeze.

"Haha~! My son Wang Teng has the potential to be a Title Douluo!" Seeing his beloved son awaken level 9 innate soul power, Wang Chengkun immediately laughed happily, involuntarily uttering these words.

"..." Upon hearing this, Wang Teng's face instantly darkened.

Good heavens, even in a different world, he couldn't escape this trope? It's just that the world is different, and the title has been replaced with an Emperor. Of course, the difference in quality is enormous.

"Damn it! I'm going to become an Emperor in this lifetime!" Silently, Wang Teng set himself a small goal.

As the saying goes, "If you're willing to risk your life, you can even bring down the emperor!" That's right, Wang Teng's target was the Heaven Dou Empire. Although Emperor Xue Ye wasn't doing well, he was still an emperor. If Xue Ye could do it, why couldn't Wang Teng?

Still in the Heaven Dou Imperial Palace, Emperor Xue Ye was completely unaware that the son of his trusted general was plotting to bring him down!

"My brother Wang Teng has the potential for a title!" Little Wang Chong, standing beside him, echoed his father.

"...Shut up!" Hearing his younger brother's words, Wang Teng immediately silenced him.

Good grief, Wang Teng thought that in a certain author's novel, Wang Teng was killed by the protagonist because his family members all failed too many times. He didn't want to become the stepping stone for the original protagonist, Tang San, to become a god.

"Ahem, well, Father, Mother, and Xiao Chong, please don't tell anyone about my talent. Just say I awakened the Mystic Light Cross Martial Soul, with innate level 7 soul power!"

Although he didn't need to hide his abilities from his family, he still needed to be discreet with outsiders. After all, he was officially a member of the Heaven Dou Empire. What if the Spirit Hall tried to sabotage him? Especially since he remembered the Spirit Hall had played a "switcheroo," with Qian Renxue replacing the First Prince Xue Qinghe at the age of nine.

If they killed him while they were at it, it would be a great injustice.

"Hmm, not bad, my son knows the importance of hiding his talents!"

Wang Chengkun patted Wang Teng's shoulder with satisfaction and said happily.

"Good, Xiao Chong, remember your brother awakened the Mystic Light Cross Martial Soul, with innate level 7 soul power!"

i Chan instructed Wang Chong from the side.

"Yes, yes, I understand." Wang Chong immediately nodded, indicating that he wouldn't tell anyone.

After calming down, Wang Chengkun frowned immediately, as if something had occurred to him.

"Father, what's wrong?"

Wang Teng asked, puzzled by Wang Chengkun's furrowed brow.

"Well... alright, I'll tell you. In the Douluo Continent, there are very few recorded Soul Masters who awakened twin Martial Souls, and none of them succeeded. It seems their endings were all unfortunate!"

Wang Chengkun was worried. Logically speaking, his son's talent was excellent, with a level nine innate aptitude and twin Martial Souls, so becoming a Title Douluo shouldn't be too difficult.

However, thinking about how Soul Masters with twin Martial Souls in history all died from their bodies exploding, he felt a headache coming on. Wang Chengkun voiced his concerns, and Wang Teng immediately understood what was wrong.

The reason why twin martial souls explode and die is naturally due to insufficient physical strength to withstand the pressure from the numerous spirit rings of two martial souls. However, there are solutions, as Wang Teng, who has read the original novel, knows.

Bibi Dong of the Spirit Hall is the best example: first, add spirit rings to one martial soul, and then, when the body's strength is sufficient, add spirit rings to the other martial soul.
