One Year Later
3rd Person POV
Baraqiel could be seen walking through the tunnel leading to Azazel's secret lab with a small box in his hand but looked like he was deep in thought.
'Azazel named the kid Blake, Blake Azel and it has only been a year since Blake opened his eyes and I have been observing and interacting with him whenever I get the time. The kid didn't require basic attention like a normal child and he was a fast learner and also was able to take care of his basic needs within weeks, which worked great for Azazel as he didn't want anyone else knowing about Blake's existence for now.
Blake was smarter beyond his age and it could be seen with his day-to-day performance. Seeing his intelligence, Azazel started his education early, but Azazel did it with a basic genius in his mind but Blake was beyond that.
He started with basic stuff like alphabets and numbers but Blake mastered those with just a glance.
The curiosity in Azazel got triggered and he started to gradually improve and increase the study material. The end result was a three-year-old kid with Advanced knowledge on many subjects and topics.
The kid's Mathematical knowledge was equal or maybe even greater that Azazel and I wanted to beat the light out Azazel when he was boasted that his son was the greatest genius in the world, but Blake's actions did support his claims
Even though Blake's knowledge was so advanced, his behavior was still that of a child, because Azazel didn't give him access to television or the internet and also due to the lack of socializing.
Blake has only been in contact with myself and Azazel, which worried me a little but I could understand why Azazel wanted to hide him away from the world
Blake at birth had the power level of a Low-God-Class being and in the past year it has grown rapidly. Even though Blake hasn't used or showed any of his abilities till now, The sheer amount of magic inside him was still dangerous for him and others around him.
If he stepped out of the Lab, the next second powerful being of this world would come to know about Blake's existence. Azazel and I knew we weren't powerful enough to protect him from the top tear being living in this world and the fact that he could hurt others by mistake was also an issue.
In the end, Both of us agreed that it was best for Blake to stay in the lab for now and gradually learn about this world'
The lab doors opened and Baraqiel walked inside with the box in his hand, only to find Azazel working on one of his projects while Blake sat on Azazel's work table watching Azazel work.
This scene looked funny, a little boy seated on the table watching an adult working with interest even though he couldn't comprehend what Azazel was actually working on.
Azazel was wearing a lab coat while Blake was wearing a branded black round neck t-shirt and white shorts without any shoes. The jet black metallic wings gently swayed as it reflected the lights from the ceiling. It looked mesmerizing yet dangerous.
When Blake heard Baraqiel's footsteps and he looked up in excitement and with a single flap from his metallic wings, Blake leap perfectly and landed with precision in front of Baaraqiel
Blake POV
I was watching father work on his project when I heard some footsteps and immediately knew who it was
It was uncle Baraqiel and in excitement, I used my wings to jump of the table and landed right in front of Uncle
"Uncle Baraqiel, what did you bring me today?" I was unable to contain my excitement as Uncle always brings something good when he visits.
"Today, I didn't buy anything" Uncle said in a flat tone which was disappointing but it was fine. Maybe he was busy with some work but his next word piqued my interest
"But, Your Aunt did packed a bento box" Ah, so uncle did bring me something
"What is a bento box, Uncle?" I asked with interest at this new item
"Why don't you sit down first and I'll show you" Uncle said
"Ok!" With a flap from my wings, I leaped right to Dad's worktable and with a small flutter I landed softly without breaking anything. What is this Bento Box was the only question in my mind.
Uncle Baraqiel walked next to the table and placed the box he was holding and started opening it. Inside the box was an assorted variety of food that smelled good and looked really tasty.
Uncle pushed the box in front of me and then placed a pair of chopsticks on the side and nodded.
I nodded back and took the chopsticks and started trying this new food and it was really delicious
3rd Person POV
Watching Blake's and Baraqiel's interaction, automatically put a small smile on Azazel's face.
Baraqiel patted Blake's head and signaled Azazel with his eyes, which he understood and both walked away to the corner of the lab, away from Blake.
Azazel cast a small sound barrier and checked on Blake whose full focus was on the bento meal and finally spoke
"We both know that isolating him in this lab for any longer will be bad for him. He needs to socialize with others apart from us and the worst is that he is alone in this Lab when you are outside to take care of your duties. It's not healthy to stay alone at such a young age.
We have no idea about his abilities and even though Blake is behaving like a normal human child and hasn't used any of his abilities, we have to teach him about the super natural world"
Baraqiel said and continued "My daughter is the same age as him and even she by accident has launched a few holy lights inside the house, but Blake hasn't had such accidents. Even the two of us had such accidents when we were young, Azazel"
"I know that, but it's dangerous outside and I wanted to protect him from the brutality of the super natural world for as long as possible" Azazel said
"When will the masking artifact be ready?" Baraqiel asked
"It will take time, it's hard to build an artifact to mask Blake's power level" Azazel signed
"Why don't I train him? Maybe he can learn to mask his power level, after all he is very talented"
"No, he is too young for any training and for the record we can only feel his power level because we are near him, it's not like he is exerting his power outside because if he did, then the both of us can't even stand next to him" Azazel retorted
Baraqiel signed and so did Azazel because they didn't know what to do right now but Baraqiel suddenly got an idea "What if told Suri and Akeno about Blake?"
Azazel gave a weird look to his friend because he couldn't understand Baraqiel's reasoning behind such decision
"Listen, if I tell them about him, then I could bring them here to meet him and he could also socialize and play with Akeno who is also the same age as him"
"That great, but I want to be the one to tell Suri" Azazel said
"Why?" Baraqiel asked with a confused expression but Azazel held strong and said "I want to be the one to say it, Ok?"
"Fine, come to my house tomorrow night after putting him to bed" Baraqiel said
Azazle nodded and dispersed the sound barrier, only to find Blake has already finished two boxes and moved on to the last one while reading Azazel's project's calculation notes which was by his side
Azazel didn't mind it, because he knew that Blake couldn't understand what project it is with just the calculations alone as it's like solving a puzzle which has few pieces missing.
Both of them walked next to Blake and Baraqiel was curious so he asked "Is it interesting, Blake?"
Blake replied, his mouth half full with food "It is Uncle, Father is trying to create an item to mask some kind of energy, but his math is wrong if he wants to suppress such a huge value of energy" he replied and placed the paper aside and continued to eat his bento box
Baraqiel didn't say anything and just nodded and patted Blake's head supporting thinking how could a kid understand one of Azazel's project but what Baraqiel didn't see was Azazel who was standing behind them was shocked to his core and a different thought was running through his head
'Blake was able to understand the purpose of the artifact with just the calculations notes alone. How could someone just understand the purpose of a project with just the calculations alone?' but his shock soon turned into excitement with pride 'Of course he can. Afterall, he is my son!'
The End
