In the blink of an eye they were already in their second year of school. Irida had gone back home once in the past year and her family members had been here a few times.
Her eldest brother and her eldest sister in law came at the beginning of the year to make sure she was comfortable and was adapting well, they had also bought some of their local specialties and always sent her an allowance at the beginning of every month.
Her second brother Nickolaos came to visit once during her summer break and he would always send her allowance often, her third brother, Theodore came with Elini to visit one time and her dad and little niece would come over often too, her dad would always complain about the long distance
On the summer break of her second year, Irida decided to get a part time job at a restaurant, she goes there three nights a week and although the job was stressful, Irida felt a sense of accomplishment earning money for herself.
Taking a walk home from work, Irida couldn't help but think about Ian when she saw couples on the road holding hands and sharing kisses and laughs, Ian had said he'd only have time to make it home in time for Thanksgiving. Their letters had become fewer in the last few months because Ian got busier. Sometimes it took weeks to get a reply letter from him.
Thinking of all this, Irida slowly made it home, when Irida got to the door, she heard noise coming from the house, Irida quietly tried to turn the lock and noticed it wasn't a forced entry. Irida finally breathed a sigh of relief, she was sure it was probably one of her family member, everyone had a copy of her key and knew where she kept her spare key
Irida still subconsciously places her hands in her bag and felt for the taser Theodore got for her, she held the taser, took a deep breath, pushed the door open and entered the house
"Ian" Irida called
She was quite surprised, Ian said he wasn't going to have any leave till Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving was still more than three months away, but Ian was here, standing in her room
Irida rubbed her eyes frantically, trying to confirm if it wasn't the fatigue from work that was playing trucks on her or if she was hallucinating because she had been thinking about him earlier
"Peach" Ian said as he walked towards Irida

Irida could feel his warmth and knew she wasn't hallucinating
Ian almost laughed as he watched all her antics, she truly was so cute and innocent
"Peach, it's me. I'm back" Ian said
Hearing the familiar voice of the person she missed the most and knowing he was really here physically and not just a figment of her imagination, Irida finally cried. For the past two years since they separated Irida didn't cry, she had always tried to keep herself busy to prevent herself from missing him, but now Ian was here, her boyfriend. Irida had been worried about him daily, although he was tanner and thinner, he was here, all his limbs were intact
Ian gently let Irida to a chair and held her to cry till she was satisfied before she stopped crying, then Ian helped her get a glass water and watched her drink in small sips until she was finally calm
"I miss you" Ian said "I thought of you every single day"
His peach has grown to be even more beautiful since the last time he saw her, Irida's cheeks had lost most of her baby fat and was looking more refined and rosy
"I missed you so much" Ian said
Finally, the risk Ian took these past few months just to be able to come home earlier seemed to be really worth it. Ian thought with a smile
"I missed you too" Irida said as she hugged Ian "I almost went crazy from missing you"
Ian looked into Irida's eyes and felt that even words wouldn't be able to convey just how much he truly missed her. Ian slowly leaned in to kiss Irida, this would be the second kiss they'd share since they got together
Ian deepened the kiss and he used his tongue to push past her teeth and made it into her mouth, he sucked on Irida's tongue like it was the most delicate delicacy he had ever tasted. Ian's tongue chased hers in a fervent passion that seemed to consume both of them
