The second event ended with a draw between Haywood and Toleran, much to the spectators' chagrin.
The arena was cut down to sixteen participants, with only two more events left under their belts. It was time for Toleran to take back control if they hoped to win.
Lucien looked at the remaining people, then glanced back at Alcione, who could tell what he was thinking with a single glance.
He nodded.
No more fucking around. Whatever this event had in store for them, they had to absolutely decimate Haywood.
"Alright, folks, it's time for event three: the pair synchronization trial," the announcer said. Their lips twisted into a mischievous smile as they waved their hands around like a conductor.
"With the remaining participants here, you will be assigned temporary pairs. Each pair will be thrown into a short, high-pressure combat scenario that will require synchronized movement, shared decision-making, and controlled output."
The crowd got noisy when hearing this.
