Dark storm clouds hung over Gotham City's skyline.
Outside Arkham Asylum, piercing police sirens wailed through the smoke-filled air.
The Joker's maniacal laughter rang especially loud amid the chaos. Standing atop an overturned police cruiser, his bright green hair glowed eerily in the firelight.
"Hahahaha! Why hasn't Bats shown up yet? I can't wait to show him my new toy!"
The Joker waved a remote control while members of his gang exchanged heavy gunfire with the police.
Poison Ivy sent vines bursting from the ground, flipping over police cars.
Bane ripped the door off an armored vehicle with his bare hands.
Harley Quinn danced effortlessly through the hail of bullets, her baseball bat knocking officers unconscious with frightening precision.
Just then—
A dark figure descended from the sky.
Batman's cape spread wide against the flames as he landed, delivering a perfectly timed kick that sent Harley's bat flying.
"The party's over."
Batman's deep voice caused every member of the Joker Gang to freeze for a moment.
"Batsy!"
The Joker turned around excitedly—
Only to see three figures slowly descending from the sky.
Clark arrived alongside Xiao Han and Wanda, hovering above the battlefield.
Batman glanced up at them. Beneath his cowl, his brows furrowed slightly.
He said nothing.
Instead, he returned his full attention to subduing the criminals before him.
Clark cleared his throat awkwardly, preparing to act.
Before he could move, Xiao Han raised a hand to stop him.
"Training's over."
"Now comes the real combat."
He turned to Wanda.
A smile curved Wanda's crimson lips as excitement flashed across her eyes.
"Understood."
She slowly floated into the air.
Her scarlet hair danced within the field of Chaos Magic as both hands gracefully traced circular motions.
Brilliant crimson energy erupted outward, sweeping across the battlefield.
"Hey! What's that?"
"A new superhero?"
Harley looked up—
Only to be instantly bound by scarlet energy, leaving her completely unable to move.
The Joker's laughter came to an abrupt halt.
He stared in horror as he realized his body no longer obeyed him.
"What kind of trick is this?!"
Poison Ivy's vines withered the instant they touched the crimson magic.
Bane's enhanced muscles were utterly useless before mystical power.
In only a few seconds...
Every villain stood neatly lined up like puppets on invisible strings before floating directly toward the stunned police officers.
"I'll leave them to you."
With a gentle wave of her hand, Wanda lowered the villains in front of the officers.
"I believe these belong to you."
The policemen exchanged bewildered looks.
Only after several seconds did the police commissioner recover enough to shout,
"Hurry! Cuff them!"
Wanda wasn't finished yet.
She spread both arms wide as scarlet energy blanketed the entire battlefield.
Destroyed vehicles restored themselves.
Collapsed walls rebuilt brick by brick.
Even the shell craters in the streets vanished without a trace.
Just then—
Wonder Woman arrived.
Still holding her golden Lasso of Truth, she froze in midair after witnessing the impossible scene.
"By Zeus..."
Batman silently watched everything unfold.
Without saying a word, he turned and disappeared back into the shadows.
Clark flew over.
"Diana, let me introduce you."
"This is Xiao Han and Wanda."
"They're from a parallel universe."
Wonder Woman landed gracefully before them, putting away her lasso.
Curiosity shone in her eyes.
"I'm Diana Prince of the Amazons."
"It's an honor to meet both of you."
"Miss Wanda..."
"Your powers are truly impressive."
Wanda blushed slightly.
"Thank you."
"It's just a few little tricks."
"Those are hardly little tricks."
Diana smiled sincerely.
"Your abilities are unlike anything we've ever seen in this world."
Clark glanced around at the streets, which had nearly returned to normal.
"This isn't the best place to talk."
"I know an excellent restaurant nearby."
Ten minutes later...
The four of them sat together inside a private room at an upscale restaurant.
Diana thoughtfully ordered food for everyone and even recommended a dessert especially for Wanda.
"So..."
As she cut into her steak, Diana looked curiously toward Xiao Han.
"You said you're a Kryptonian just like Clark?"
Xiao Han nodded before briefly explaining his origins.
Diana listened attentively, nodding from time to time.
"That certainly sounds unbelievable."
She set down her knife and fork.
"The Amazons have always believed the Multiverse exists."
"But we've never had concrete proof."
Wanda tasted a bite of chocolate cake.
Her eyes immediately sparkled.
"This is delicious!"
Then she quickly added, somewhat embarrassed,
"Sorry for interrupting."
Diana laughed.
"Don't worry."
"Good food deserves your full attention."
She then turned toward Wanda.
"So your power..."
"Is it magic?"
Wanda nodded.
"That's right."
"It's magic."
"My ability allows me to rewrite reality."
Diana fell into thought.
"It sounds powerful enough to rival the divine powers of Olympus."
Clark, who had quietly listened until now, finally spoke.
"Xiao Han told me they arrived here by accident."
"I think we should find a way to help them return home."
Diana nodded.
"Perhaps Zatanna could help."
"Or Doctor Fate."
"They're both experts in interdimensional travel."
Xiao Han calmly set down his wine glass.
"There's no need."
"Wanda can open a portal home whenever she wants."
"We simply wish to learn more about this world first."
Understanding his meaning, Diana smiled.
"Then you absolutely have to meet the other League members."
"Barry will be thrilled."
"He's always insisted that the parallel universe theory was correct."
Clark's expression suddenly became somewhat awkward.
"Bruce..."
"He probably won't be attending any gatherings anytime soon."
Diana sighed softly.
"Still the same?"
"Ever since General Zod..."
"He's only become more withdrawn."
Clark smiled bitterly.
"I've always felt guilty about what happened to those people."
Xiao Han immediately caught the implication.
"Batman doesn't trust Superman?"
Diana and Clark exchanged a glance.
Finally, Diana answered.
"Two years ago, while Clark was fighting General Zod, Bruce's company headquarters was accidentally destroyed."
"Many employees didn't escape in time..."
"Three months later..."
"Bruce discovered a prophetic mirror."
"It showed a possible future."
"The vision was blurry and incomplete..."
"But we all saw the same thing."
"Clark would fall into darkness..."
"And become Earth's ruler."
Wanda looked utterly confused.
"That's ridiculous!"
Clark slowly shook his head.
"No."
"It's entirely possible."
"My power..."
Before he could continue, Xiao Han suddenly laughed.
"So Batman believes that a kind-hearted Superman will one day conquer the world?"
Diana nodded.
"Bruce always prepares for the worst-case scenario."
"But I know Clark."
"He'll never become that person."
Clark looked at her gratefully.
As the lights inside the restaurant gradually softened, the four of them finished their pleasant dinner.
Diana glanced at her watch before standing up.
"I'm sorry."
"I have to leave first."
"There are still some matters I need to take care of."
Clark nodded.
"Thanks for taking the time to come, Diana."
Diana gently patted Clark's shoulder before extending her hand toward Xiao Han and Wanda.
"It was wonderful meeting both of you."
"I hope you enjoy your stay in Gotham."
Wanda shook her hand with a smile.
"Thank you for recommending that dessert."
"It was amazing."
Diana winked playfully.
"Next time you visit Themyscira, I'll have the chefs prepare authentic Greek desserts for you."
With that, she turned gracefully and left.
Clark watched her leave before turning back to Xiao Han and Wanda.
"Do you two have somewhere to stay tonight?"
Xiao Han nodded.
"We're planning to find a hotel."
Clark smiled warmly.
"Gotham's public security..."
"...can be a little complicated."
"I can recommend a few hotels with excellent security."
Wanda asked curiously,
"Do you come to Gotham often?"
Clark smiled.
"Occasionally."
"I help Bruce deal with a few things now and then."
"Although these days..."
"He's not very willing to work with me."
Xiao Han smiled faintly.
"It's fine."
"We can find a place ourselves."
Clark hesitated for a moment before finally saying,
"If you ever need anything..."
"You can contact me anytime."
He reached into his pocket and handed Xiao Han a business card.
"This is my contact information."
Xiao Han accepted it.
Printed on the card was:
Clark KentReporter, The Daily Planet
In the bottom-right corner was a small 'S' emblem.
He couldn't help finding it a little amusing.
Two Kryptonians...
Exchanging contact information this way.
"Thanks."
Xiao Han tucked the card away.
"We'll stay in touch."
"Tomorrow, we might spend some time sightseeing in this world."
Clark nodded before standing.
"Then I'll be going."
"See you next time."
He waved to the two of them before turning and walking out of the restaurant.
