The moment he finished speaking, Kara slowly floated into the air.
Xiao Han watched as she hovered beneath the sky, the sunlight casting a golden halo around her. Her blonde hair danced gently in the breeze.
"As I mentioned earlier," Xiao Han said calmly, "I'm a Kryptonian from a parallel universe."
"Wanda and I were accidentally transported into this universe. We originally intended to stay only briefly, but now that we've found you, we can't just stand by."
Kara slowly opened her eyes, her sapphire-blue pupils shimmering with intelligence.
She descended gracefully back to the ground, landing lightly on her feet.
"I understand."
She nodded slightly, her voice soft and composed.
"My super brain just scanned this Earth and detected another Kryptonian—Clark Kent, the one humans call Superman. But something doesn't add up. When I first arrived on Earth twenty years ago, he didn't exist."
She lifted a hand, gently resting a finger against her chin as she fell into thought.
"Based on my analysis, I was probably pulled into this universe from another parallel reality as well. My spacecraft encountered some kind of spacetime disturbance while passing through the Phantom Zone."
Wanda blinked curiously.
"So the Superman of this world... actually comes from a different Krypton than yours?"
In the comic books Wanda had read, Supergirl and Superman only originated from the same universe in the main continuity.
Most versions placed them in entirely different parallel universes.
Kara nodded.
"That's right. Just like Xiao Han, our Kryptons may be similar, but they belong to completely different universes."
Xiao Han rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"It seems the barriers between universes are much easier to break than we imagined."
"So you don't know this Kal?"
"In your universe, you're the only surviving bloodline?"
Kara nodded again, a complicated look crossing her face.
"That's right. In my Krypton, the House of El never existed."
"I am the last survivor of the House of Zor-El."
"My parents were among Krypton's greatest scientists. They foresaw the destruction of our world and sent me away before it happened."
She paused, her brows knitting together.
"I have absolutely no memory of anyone named Kal."
"I see."
Xiao Han nodded.
The multiverse was chaotic, but not impossible to understand.
This was an entirely new, independent version of Kara Zor-El.
Kara smiled faintly and extended her hand.
"Then let's properly introduce ourselves."
"I'm Kara Zor-El, one of Krypton's last surviving descendants."
Xiao Han accepted her handshake, sensing the immense Kryptonian energy inside her rapidly recovering.
"I'm Xiao Han."
"...Though my story is a bit more complicated."
Wanda also extended her hand, scarlet magical energy flickering around her fingertips.
"Wanda Maximoff."
"User of Chaos Magic."
Kara looked at Wanda with curiosity.
"Your power is fascinating."
"I've never encountered anything like it before."

Wanda blinked playfully.
"And this is my first time meeting a real Kryptonian."
Xiao Han glanced up at the sky.
Dark clouds were gathering in the distance as the frigid Siberian wind began to howl.
"This isn't the place to talk."
He looked at the two women.
"Let's return to the city and find somewhere safe."
Kara surveyed the barren snowfields around them.
Her gaze swept over the ruined remains of the military base, a trace of coldness flashing through her eyes.
"The people who imprisoned me..."
"They won't give up so easily."
Xiao Han looked toward the shattered ruins.
A golden glow briefly flickered through his eyes.
"If they dare come after us..."
"I'll make them understand the price of provoking a Kryptonian."
Kara glanced sideways at him, a smile forming on her lips.
"I like your style."
Wanda chuckled softly.
Scarlet energy traced elegant arcs through the air as she spread her hands.
"Then let's not waste any more time."
She looked at Xiao Han.
"A portal?"
He nodded.
With a casual wave of his hand, brilliant golden sparks spiraled through the air, rapidly expanding into a stable portal.
Beyond it lay bright sunshine and towering skyscrapers—
The heart of Metropolis.
Kara's eyes widened slightly.
"Spatial transportation?"
Wanda shrugged casually.
"Just a little magic trick."
Xiao Han stepped aside.
"Let's go."
Kara took a deep breath before stepping through the portal.
Xiao Han and Wanda followed close behind.
Metropolis
A Quiet Café
The three of them chose a secluded corner.
Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, the bustling city remained lively, while warm sunlight streamed across their table.
Kara had changed into casual clothes.
Xiao Han had taken one of Wanda's simple black dresses out of his system storage for her.
Lifting her coffee cup, Kara took a gentle sip.
A satisfied smile appeared on her face.
"It's been a long time since I've had a hot drink."
Resting her chin on one hand, Wanda asked curiously,
"How long were you imprisoned in that facility?"
A shadow crossed Kara's eyes.
"Twelve years."
Xiao Han and Wanda exchanged glances.
The atmosphere immediately became heavy.
"...Twelve years."
Wanda repeated quietly, anger flashing in her eyes.
"Those humans are unforgivable."
Kara shook her head calmly.
"Hatred only clouds one's judgment."
"My spacecraft disappeared long ago."
"I have nowhere left to go."
Xiao Han lightly tapped the tabletop, golden light flickering within his eyes as he thought.
"What are your plans now, Kara?"
Kara placed her coffee cup down and gazed through the window toward the towering Daily Planet building.
"I want to meet this world's Kal-El."
She spoke softly.
"He may not be related to me..."
"But he's still one of Krypton's descendants."
Wanda smiled.
"Clark is a good person."
"I'm sure he'll be happy to meet you."
After a brief silence, Xiao Han spoke again.
"The situation isn't that simple."
He briefly explained Batman's distrust of Superman and the increasingly delicate balance within the Justice League.
After listening, Kara frowned.
"So Bruce believes Clark will eventually turn evil?"
"That's right," Xiao Han answered calmly.
"And he's already prepared Kryptonite weapons."
Kara's expression instantly turned cold.
"Humans are always like this."
"They fear any power they can't understand."
Without realizing it, her fingers tightened around the coffee cup.
Tiny cracks instantly spread across its surface.
Wanda gently placed a hand on Kara's wrist.
"Calm down."
"Not every human is like the people who imprisoned you."
Kara took a deep breath before slowly relaxing her grip.
The cracks on the cup gradually repaired themselves beneath the influence of her bio-electric aura.
"...Sorry."
She lowered her eyes.
"I'm still having trouble controlling my emotions."
Xiao Han looked at her calmly.
"Your powers have only just recovered."
"Emotional fluctuations are normal."
"But you have to learn to control them."
"Otherwise, losing control will be very easy."
Kara nodded firmly.
"I understand."
Just then—
The television inside the café suddenly interrupted its regular programming with an emergency news bulletin.
"Breaking News! An unidentified creature has attacked downtown Metropolis! Casualties remain unknown..."
The broadcast switched to live footage.
A skyscraper billowed thick black smoke from its upper floors.
Police sirens echoed throughout the streets.
Then—
A deafening roar tore across the skies of Metropolis.
The entire city trembled.
At the same instant, Xiao Han, Kara, and Wanda all looked up.
Their gazes pierced through the surrounding buildings, locking onto the enormous creature rampaging in the distance.
"Move."
Xiao Han's command was short and decisive.
Wanda raised both hands.
Scarlet energy instantly tore open space itself, forming a massive portal before them.
Without the slightest hesitation—
The three stepped through together, instantly arriving at the center of the battlefield.
