"We understand your late colleague's son was responsible for the kidnapping. Could you ever find it in yourself to forgive him?"
"Will Apex Airways terminate your employment over these recent events?"
"Sources indicate Brookville's authorities and the Fire Commission are investigating your failure to rescue your colleague. If they revoke your Firefighting Hero status, will you accept their decision or challenge it?"
Each question struck Grace like a physical blow, cameras and microphones thrust aggressively toward her face.
She raised her hands frantically, attempting to shield herself from the relentless lenses, but the media mob pressed closer, surrounding her completely.
