Evelin's POV
I watched as the color drained completely from Grace's face.
Terror flickered across her features as she realized what Jimmy intended.
"No. Let go of me!" Grace screamed, fighting desperately against Jimmy's iron grip around her throat as she clawed at his fingers.
Her struggles were useless. She couldn't budge even one of his strong fingers.
Jimmy's long, elegant fingers circled her neck without cutting off her air supply, but I could see her body being forced slowly toward the dam's edge.
One push, and she'd tumble into the violent current below.
Grace's eyes darted to the churning water beneath. Swimming skills wouldn't matter against those brutal waves.
"Grey, help me!" she begged, desperation cracking her voice as she sought his rescue.
Grey stared at Grace's ghostly pale face, conflict churning in his gaze. His heart seemed torn between doubt and old loyalties.
"Grey, you believe me, right? You said you'd trust me!" Grace's voice shook with raw emotion.
