Evelin's POV
"Save me, Grey!" Grace cowered behind Grey, gripping him like a drowning woman clutching driftwood.
"Even if you need to let off steam, Evelin, a couple hits should satisfy you!" Grey forced the words through gritted teeth, his chest heaving with pain.
I laughed bitterly. "Satisfy me? Countless people died, and my brother's been gone for years. We don't even know if he's breathing. You think a few measly punches will cut it, Grey?"
Grey couldn't find words, his gaze sliding away from mine.
"Get out of my way," I said, ice coating every syllable.
His jaw clenched tight. "Grace saved my life once. I promised to shield her. Touch her again, and I'll make you pay."
Before he could finish his threat, a vicious kick launched him across the pavement.
Jimmy had struck.
He planted his boot on Grey's face, lips curling into a sneer. "You'll deal with me first."
Grey writhed beneath him, fighting to throw Jimmy off.
