Evelin's POV
I walked alongside Jimmy, flanked by the Elysia Group's senior executives, when I caught sight of Grey standing frozen near the entrance. Something twisted in my chest as I watched him stare at me.
My gaze drifted toward him for just a moment, and our eyes locked. I could see him tense up, could practically feel his heart racing from across the room. But I forced myself to look away, treating him like any other face in the crowd.
I wouldn't give him the satisfaction of knowing he still affected me.
Jimmy's hand brushed against my lower back as we passed, a subtle gesture that sent warmth spreading through me. I was no longer the woman who lived for Grey's attention. Those days were over.
