Evelin's POV
I felt stunned by what I'd just heard.
Selina's face twisted into a frown. "What's he want with you? Don't say he's crawling back to beg for his mom and sister—their trial's coming up soon."
"No clue, but it's not my problem," I said, then looked at my secretary. "Tell him I'm too busy."
When I left work that evening, Grey was waiting by the company entrance, blocking my path.
"Evelin, we need to talk," he said.
"I can't think of anything we'd have to discuss," I replied.
Grey locked eyes with me. "Come on, there's plenty to talk about. I screwed up big time. I never should've divorced you."
"I've been beating myself up about it lately. Turns out, what I feel for you runs way deeper than I thought. Can we try again? Can we remarry?"
"Remarry?" I stared at him, shock written all over my face.
Selina, who'd been standing nearby, looked ready to explode.
"Seriously, Grey? Where do you get the balls to ask Evelin to take you back?"
