Jimmy's POV
I heard Margot's voice as Allen and I came down the hall. "...Jimmy will toss you aside just like he did me!" When I saw her confronting Evelin, I didn't hesitate to step in.
Before Evelin could respond, I stepped forward. "Never gonna happen, Margot. Talk to Eve like that again, and I'll make damn sure you're blacklisted from every venue in Bellatrix."
Margot's expression shifted the moment she spotted me in the hallway, Allen right behind me. Fear flashed across her features.
But jealousy quickly took over. I could see the bitter question written all over her face: why was I always defending Evelin?
"Jimmy Hamilton, what's so damn special about Evelin? She's divorced! What has she ever done for you? Would she give up an eye? Would she sacrifice anything? Hell no! She'd never go that far for you—not like I did!"
Margot stepped closer, getting in my face.
