Chapter 2 - An introduction

As the carriage doors opened and formed a stairway, a blank eyed man stepped aside.

"Welcome Albert Luddovan, and..." said the blank eyed man, his voice was thick.

"Kuroba, my name is Kuroba"

"OK sure, Albert Luddovan and Kuroba." Said the man, although if we didn't know where we were going, this would've seemed like a crime, but thankfully it wasn't. And Albert walked in with Kuroba, there was no one else but the man with them. It was a silent ride, kind of creepy.

"What do call a sad cow. A Moourner." It was thankfully much, much better than his previous joke. And Kuroba laughed harder than last time, but the man didn't laugh as much, not even grinned. It was almost, unnatural.

"Oh, I got it. Master Albert, the cow is mourning." Kuroba said, still shaking from laughter. And when she finished laughing, Albert looked back and noticed he was leaving the Luddovan estate behind. It was just a shame, he only spent a month there with his memories. "

No! Now is not the time to be shameful" He thought to himself. He has to prepare himself for when he meets with the young lady Nocturne.

7 hours later

"Fuck, I'm so happy, this is the longest carriage ride ever. But I get to finally meet master's fiancee!" Kuroba said, caressing Albert's head as he rested his head on her lap, passed out from the sheer boredom of the carriage ride.

"Albert Luddovan, we have arrived" Said the man. And Albert jolted up from Kuroba's lap, he realized his head was on her luscious thighs.

"Oh sorry Kuroba." He said, apologetic (yet slightly aroused). Kuroba simply nodded, as Albert knew her voice would only make this situation more awkward. As the carriage doors opened, Albert and Kuroba stepped out, upon them was a large black mansion. This was no mistake the centerpiece of the Nocturne estate from Silver Feathers. Albert gulped, for he knew that this was his first trial as not only a fiancee, but as a comedian.

The walls were thick and black, not just black, but opaque, not a single stain or any different color, just blackness. It made Albert shudder, but thankfully Kuroba held his shoulders to stop them from shaking, it is impolite to be scared of the hallway after all. And at the end of the hallway was Duke Nocturne himself, a tall burly man, only seen as a silhouette in the original game. But now his figure is revealed, clad in a purple and black cape, with a thick burly beard and fierce red eyes.

"You must be Lucine's fiancee? Am I correct?" The duke commanded. His voice was very fierce it made even the man shudder in fear. Albert took a deep breath, since he prepared for this prior to leaving.

"Yes, I, Albert Luddovan, is the fiancee of Lucine Nocturne, I will make her the happiest duchess and I will be her duke." Albert said in a serious tone of voice. The Duke raised an eyebrow.

"The Viscount told me his son was submissive and lately gained a knack for cracking jokes. I see he was lying to me." Said Duke Nocturne, clicking his tongue.

"I might not be submissive. But I tell jokes as well as a Joke-king" Albert said, trying to lighten the mood. The Duke didn't even flinch, but Kuroba was already stifling her laughter.

"Silence! My daughter is in her room, she is very excited to meet you. Now go see her!" Commanded Duke Nocturne. Albert was surprised at what he said. He didn't expect the fierce villainess of Silver Feathers to be excited to see someone, especially excited to see what would eventually be a nameless lacky by the time the game starts.

As Albert walked up the stairs, he felt scared. But of course he is, this is the villainess Lucine Nocturne he is going to see, if he doesn't play his cards or jokes right, he might end up as a nameless lackey. And at last he reached the second floor and walked down the hallway.

---

12 year-old Lucine Nocturne was sitting in her room, she was smiling, for today was an exciting day, Lucine would finally meet her fiancee. She has heard little about him, but what she does know is that he is submissive, black haired, red-eyed, recently had a knack for telling jokes, and that he is the future viscount of the Luddovan family.

"Hmmm, I just hope you aren't as submissive as they claimed you were or else I might not be able to be entertained."

--

Albert finally reached the end of the hall and in front of him was a large blue door, slightly ajar, with the words printed in gold,

'Lucine Nocturne'

This was it, his first and possibly last chance he has to show how worthy he is. He outstretched his hand and took a deep breath, he sighed, thought of a few jokes, and knocked the door.

"Come in!" Said a jovial female voice, far more jovial then Albert could have possibly expected. So he kindly obliged, he walked in and on the bed was a juvenile Lucine Nocturne. Rather than the buxom prideful beauty in the game, there was a young (presumably 12 year old since he's 12) girl in what seemed to be sized down clothing as her 17 year old counterpart in the game. Even so she looked so beautiful, and that smile of pure excitement. But this was the future duchess, he had to be respectful.

"Hello Lucine-sama, I am Albert Luddovan, your fiancee, I hope I can make you laugh, and be the best fiancee I can be." He said with a bow, Albert was still nervous and didn't know if what he said was respectful enough, he just needed to wait for a reply, hopefully one that can lead into a joke.

"No need for the -Sama, dear Albert, now tell me, are you feeling thirsty, you must be so thirsty walking up the hell of a stairs we have." Lucine said in a cheerful voice. Judging by her tone of voice and how eerie this room' atmosphere is, Albert can tell this was probably the first thing the original Albert in the game did. He was already losing!

"But uh, why need a hell of a stairs, I am already stair-ing at you...?" He blew it, that was such a cliche pun and he could've used a better opening instead of the stairs. (For reference, using his skills of humor, he could've used "thirsty" to say, "I'm not thirsty, I'm Albert!"). But he heard a chuckle, which soon evolved into full blown laughter.

"Ha, Stair-ing, that is so funny. I can tell you have quote the sense of humor Albert, I was expecting a submissive little boy, not someone with such a funny little mouth of yours, I can tell that we are going to get along."

Albert never felt so relieved.

"I'm not really the submissive man I used to be, I'm a changed man, a funny man, an amusing Luddo-man." He joked, and Lucine clapped her hands again. It appears that he conquered first of the many things of this girl's childhood that would shape her into a villainess.
