Nyx stared at the question. It wasn't just a logic puzzle. It was personal.
"This is about you choosing me over the Pride Lands." She said.
Raziel read the question over her shoulder.
"There's always a third option."
"But the question mentions both choices result in death. It's forcing me to choose a side."
"Then the answer is to refuse the question." Raziel looked at her. "The correct choice is to reject situations where you're forced to choose between two wrong choices."
"But that's not an answer…"
"It's the only answer." He took the scroll from her hands. "Look at what's really being asked. This isn't about strategy or logic. It's about whether you'll accept that some choices are impossible."
Nyx thought about it. The mysterious letter had mentioned "the answers don't matter, it's understanding what's being asked."
What if the question wasn't really about the king's choice? What if it was about understanding that there was no correct answer?
